Title Tag Length

Here is my question, I know that after 70 characters or a certain pixel width. Google cuts off your title tag in the SERPS. I also know it will still index title tags up to 255 characters I think it is,.
My question is if I have words or characters after the 70 characters limit. will this show up in the search? Or will Google only look at the first 70 characters in terms of relevance? I hope that makes sense thanks.
Peter

Okay thanks for all your help.

It does seem evident there is a correlation between keywords closer to the beginning and their search performance, a reality Moz notes. There is also however something to be said for branding, a direction Google also increasingly looks at. In other words, you wouldn't ever want to "over" optimize anything really, ever.
I suggest trying out Moz's On-Page Optimization tool - it goes a long way towards positioning a page for a particular keyword/phrase, with helpful tips along the way.
Good luck!

Okay So, your saying that any keyword after 70 characters are not going to get much weight than in google's eyes.

Up to 70 showing up in SERPs is certainly a good rule of thumb, but apparently not absolute. If you do a search for "title tags" you may see some, like Search Engine Watch's long title, gets truncated with ellipses at the end, while Usability Geek's age gets 71 characters by my count with an omission of "SEO" in the middle. From what I can tell, best practice is keeping them 70 or under, particularly since any keywords out there in the eastern wild aren't likely doing you much good anyway.

No-index tags-Can they be used in internal linking?
On my site http://villasdiani.com I am using yoast seo plugin and have I am using tags to organize category with villas on self-catering, full board etc but I have them set no-index as I believe they would create only duplicate content for the categories. Is it still ok to use this tags for internal linking? Example: I have a post in my blog which links to category Beach Villas(they are set to be indexed) and I would like to add option also for self-catering villas itself, which is a tag(set no-index) I am not sure if I am getting this right. Thank you very much, Iris

Targeting City Geo-tags/Keywords for Clients with Multiple Locations
Hey everyone! What methods are best to use for SEO campaigns working with 1 website for a company which has 2, 3, 4, or more locations in order to get keywords for their services to rank well... in all their location cities? I feel we know the answer could be any one of the below notes, however, it's always nice to learn more about what all you other SEO's are doing or have done which saw success. Please note: We have heard about building microsites on sub-domains example city.domainname.com/keyword-or-service

We have heard about building sections off the root domain such as domainname.com/city/keyword-or-service
We have heard about just pushing more content to the blog which can target a wider range of keywords and cities
We have heard about building a new site for each city location replicating the main website and swapping out content for 100% originality
We have heard about just building more and more backlinks with different anchor text using the cities in the anchor text Thanks in advance and look forward to hearing from some other experts facing these same challenges!1 -

Title Tag Targeting 3 or 4 keywords: Downsides to link building?
Hello, I've got a client who's title tags for an internal page are like (just for example) Running Shoes | Runner's Shoe | Performance Shoe | Cross-trainer That are doing fabulous in the search engines, dominating for most of the terms and dominating for word combinations off of these 4 terms. Sometimes there's no other category to split these up into two keywords a piece, to optimize for less would reduce traffic and conversions. My question is, is this going to look bad when we go to do outreach and guest posting? What are the downsides of leaving a few of the pages like this in the link building arena?

How to create a good pagination and titles for a forum
I have a subdomain forum in my website, for example: http://forum.mywebsite.com/, the point is that i'm not sure how to create the url pagination and title in the index of each category. Let's say that i have 10 categories, right, and i want to do the pagination for the index of each category. An example of a url for the category is: http://forum.mywebsite.com/category-one/, here i have the posts for this category i will present 10 for page, next when any user click to see the posts in the second page i have this url: http://forum.mywebsite.com/category-one/page1.html. Here is where i have the problem, the url for the pagination it is ok, but the problem will be the titles for the continues pages (page2.html, page3.html, etc), it can't be the same one of the first url. So what can i do to avoid the problem of same titles in differents urls or any solution whit out any trouble for the spider.

No-Follow Tag and Advertising
Hiya! I've got a relatively new domain, and one of my goals is to be 100% white hat, squeaky clean as I really would love to see my site succeed in the long term. So far my linkbuilding efforts are going pretty well. I'm beginning to buy some ads, and some of the bloggers I'm buying ads from don't use advertising networks, they just host your jpeg from their own blog... For the little picture that will show up in the side column of their blog should this be no-followed? And if it's not do we know if google assigns a penalty? I'm ok with asking the blogger to do that, but I notice my competition is not (and I know they know better) so I feel like it puts me at a bit of a disadvantage. Secondly - I'm 100% avoiding sites that sell text links (even ones with high pagerank, like pagerank 6), is this the right path to go? I read this article from Matt Cutts and was wondering if this is still true, reputable sites that sell links maintain their pagerank but aren't able to pass pagerank? http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/text-links-and-pagerank/ "Reputable sites that sell links won’t have their search engine rankings or PageRank penalized–a search for [daily cal] would still return dailycal.org. However, link-selling sites can lose their ability to give reputation (e.g. PageRank and anchortext)."

What is the length for Open Explorer and/or Google to pick up on Blogroll links?
I'm just a little curious about this and thought I would make use of the new Q&A system. This is my first open question. I recently acquired some blogroll links on 3 fairly popular and well trafficked sites, some with more authority and pages than mine (Get Right Music). I was wondering if anyone is familiar with the time frame in which I should start to see that affect my rankings in Google. Also, the time frame when I should start to see those domain links appear in Open Site Explorer. I'm just curious. Thanks everyone. Jesse
