Picking a directory to list in
-
When i decide if a paid directory is worth listing in, do i look at the page where my link will be placed and judge it based on how many incoming links that page has, or looking at the page rank, or looking at the mozrank? Or is it just the overall rank of the home page of the directory? I notice that page rank gets less and less the deeper you go into a directory until the pages are unranked. Does that mean that the page is not crawled by google, or is considered an irrelevant page and would not be worth paying for a link there? Also, how many pages deep into the directory is too deep to mess with? Also what are some good directories that offer deep links? I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts....
Thanks in advance!
Ron

Seeing if the page where your link will be placed is indexed by Google is a good thing to check, as well as the PageRank of that page. It's probably not worth paying for a listing if you're going to end up on some deep listing with no PageRank.
Probably the best directories out there are DMOZ, Yahoo, and BOTW. Those as well as any niche specific directories and business directories. Beyond that it's probably not worth spending money or time on.

Lots of 404s listed in Top Pages by Page Authority
Hi guys, I'm slowly getting to grips with all the aspects of using Moz.

Looking at my link analysis, under the tab labelled Top Pages by Page Authority, there's an awful lot of 404 pages listed. Are these pages which are being linked to (either internally or externally), and should I put a 301 redirect on all the pages listed? I've attached a picture... moz-screen-shot.jpg0 -

How can I set up a campaign to track just directories on a specific subdomain?
I am trying to setup a campaign to track a specific subdomain and all its directories. For example, want to track example.abc.com/11111 and example.abc.com/22222 and so on. No interest in tracking abc.com itself. Is this possible?

SEO Web Crawler - Referrer Lists XML Sitemap URL
Hello!, I recently ran the crawl tool on a client site. Opening up the file, I noticed that the referring URLs listed are my XML sitemaps and not (X)HTML pages. Any reason or thoughts behind why this is happening? Thanks!

Finding page authority for a list of sites
I went to Distilled's linklove conference earlier this week. Many of the presenters showed spreadsheets where they had pulled in Page Authority for a long list of sites. What tool can you use to quickly do this? For instance, I want to be able to copy a list of 100 sites into a tool and have it spit out the PA for every site...anybody know how to do this?

OSE Advanced for specific directory only?
Pls how do I set up Open Site Explorer Advanced to look for backlinks to files in ONLY a certain directory? so if the domain is 1234.com, I don't care about links to 1234.com. OSE can find those very neatly! What I do care about is ONLY links to 1234.com/profiles and I can't seem to figure out a way to do this. the /profiles directory has thousands of profiles in it - and we think we have hundreds of thousands of backlinks - so ideally, I'd like to use regex or DOS like filtering to look at only those which start with 9 or 8 or whatever.

Need a Google Doc That Imports List of Links From SEOMoz API
Does anyone have one they'd like to share. I've seen the great ones by Tom Anthony but I am looking for the list of the first 1000 links that are available as part of the free API to be brought back into a Google Doc.
