Advice Needed: Why Is My Site Not Ranking Despite All The White Hat I Have Done?
-
Hi all,
I have tried all white hat ways to make my local business website rank well in Google.
We have done:
1.) Good quality content for our site on regular basis
2.) Submit to Google sitemap
3.) Link in an ethical way
4.) Post on social media sitesNo Google Panda content farming
No Google Penguin unnatural linkingIn fact, we have more quality articles to share compared to other laundry dry cleaning websites in Singapore.
Can anyone advice me on why my site is my ranking well?
-
You have an eagle eye.
Thanks for pointing that out
-
I know that I'm not directly addressing the question, however, you should really proof read your website!
There are countless grammatical / spelling errors on the homepage alone. This is on your testimonial:
| "I was searching online and found Singapore Dry Cleaning. Their price are very reasonable and also very efficient service. I am using them for quite awhile and i am very pleased and impressed with their service. Will recommend them to nayone who needs laundry and dry cleaning service." |
| Miss Cathy (Ang Mo kio)" |I'm not saying that spelling is a big part of Google's algorithm, but it will make you look far more professional to your customers.

I really thank you for your help.
I have changed many things on my website.
I will think go study and do research on what is GWT.
You are very helpful. Thank you!
-
I wouldn't worry about being scraped. My sites get scraped. SEOmoz gets scraped all the time. I your case, I would do two things. 1) Build the table and immediately resubmit that page in GWT. 2) Insert a row at the bottom of the table and put anchor text so if anyone does scrape your site, they point a link back to you. Or another approach is to insert a top row in the table and make an image saying something generic like "Singapore Dry Cleaning Services". Have the image on "your" server and/or make it link to your home page with the alt tags like alt="Singapore Dry Cleaning".
-
I got it on the rates images.
The reason why i am using images for the rates instead of table is because if that is a table, i will be copied by competitor sooner or later and i will be hit by Google panda because duplicate content.
I will add more words above the image.
Thanks for your help!
-
I thank you for your advice Rob!
-
Thank you Mossa!
-
Whoa, there are way too many images above the content. This image should be a table http://www.drycleaning.com.sg/images/Laundry-Dry-Cleaning-Rates.jpg. If I remember correctly, Google looks at the l x w of images of ads and
s and may think there is not enough content above the fold. Your content is way too far down the page.
Just a question, why Copyright 2004-2014 in the footer and not Copyright 2004-2013?
-
There are too many images IMO - the page is massive - the only text based content is in the middle of the page which isn't ideal. To be brutally honestly I'd scrap it and rebuild the site using a content management system.. break the home page down into sperate relavent pages..
Again this is only my opinion - but with my experience in the UK a site like this really wont rank well..
-
There can be many ideas… I guess you should focus on some press links.. as they are always high quality and some links from magazine sites as they contain lot of traffic. Infographic to your researches can be a great idea!
You can also try guest blogging in your niche and some related niches… also if you have budget try some videos as this will get your links, traffic and business leads at the same time!
Hope this helps!
-
Thanks, do you have any recommendation on how i can build link in a whitehat way?
I am posting it on social media such as Facebook and twitter now.
-
I guess you need to focus more on is your link profile… I am not saying its bad but in terms of quantity its less… you need to have more links in order to outrank your competitors…
The strategy is fine but you need to accelerate it a bit more so that things can walk in your favor!
Hope this helps!

Urgent help needed for site move with major ranking loss
URGENT HELP/ADVICE NEEDED I am so stressed and worried about my website domain change. I desperately need advice as soon as possible. I will try my best to keep this as brief as possible. I have owned and operated my punk clothing business online at the URL toofastonline.com for 15 years now. And for a long long time we ranked #1 for punk clothing on Google & life was good. However, thanks to the arrival of several cheap marketplaces and other unanticipated changes our ranking dropped considerably. The last few years have been extremely hard on us, to say the least, we came really close to losing the business altogether. But finally after lots of hard work & long hours, things started to improve. Ranking went back up, and we were busy again. I had been toying with the idea of buying the domain TooFast.com for about 10 years, but I never had the money to do it until this now, so I made the leap and as of Jan 9, toofastonline.com became toofast.com. Unfortunately, I now know that I set up the domain change hastily, without doing any of the pre-work Google suggests to do. I didn’t know it then but I did it wrong. And our site which wasranking #7 for punk clothing on Jan. 8th is now number 51 and today is only Jan 24th! I AM PANICKING. I have looked for help, posting jobs on Shopify Experts site several times now, opening accounts with MOZ and SEM Rush, spending countless hours on the phone with GoDaddy, Shopify and even long chats with Google. I have spent all day everyday for the past two weeks trying fix everything to no avail. No one can start on my site issues fast enough. And I have been given so much wrong information that I feel like I have done irreparable damage. I was (am) not qualified to make this kind of a site change alone. Too much was done too fast and without any real working knowledge Google SEO. My brother was the SEO guy and since he left the business I have just been struggling along with it, just trying to keep my head above water. So now for the big question: Should I temporarily change my Shopify stores domain back to toofastonline.com? This way I couldstart at the beginning, fix all the 404 redirects, fix the 301 redirects, clean up code, get the site in top working condition, and then, as Google suggests in theirGoogle Search Console Change of Address Toolstart to do the change of address in small sections, I can not afford to make any more reckless decisions. I have started and stopped, updated, fixed, changed and tried to fix again too many times now. I dont want Google to think I am trying something shady.. I’m not, I just don’t know what I’m doing, and I need help. Here is as much info as I can think of, I am more than willing to pay for help or do the work myself, as long as what I am doing is the right thing. Any and all help/advice/offers are welcome! Rankings drop after https migration [Need urgent help]
hey hi guys, i have lost all my organic traffic and in need of urgent help. Plz i need all your SEO expertise. My website is: makemoneyadultcontent.com (before judging me, let me tell you that i have been in adult industry for almost 7 years now and hence this blog was a way to pass my knowledge to everyone who is looking for it) Recently i saw that moving to HTTPS will benefit my site. I did not knew much about technical details of moving to https. My hosting was on siteground, and they have a button which you can press and your website will then be served through https. So i did that. Nothing else was done. this was done on 13th or 14th of june For the next few weeks here is my analytics (image attached) : As you can see the traffic fluctuated and finally i lost everything on 29th june. When i researched more, i found out that you need to follow many steps in order to move to HTTPS. So i followed this guide and completed all the steps: https://www.keycdn.com/blog/http-to-https/ (also checked many other guides and tried to complete all the steps mentioned) Everyone said that the rankings will recover in one week, but now it has been more than 17 days and still the rankings have not improved. My articles are indexed as i can see it using site:makemoneyadultcontent.com but none of them are ranking for the keywords that i was ranking earlier. i have submitted the sitemap in google webmaster and around 166 (out of 218) pages are indexed. Here are few more images to help my case: plz plz help me what i can do to get my website traffic back. i have spent a lot of time and effort in building this site, cant see it die a slow death like this one. 8Wa8c [http ahref](http ahref) D42xw sAd9E

SEO question regarding rails app on www.site.com hosted on Heroku and www.site.com/blog at another host
Hi, I have a rails app hosted on Heroku (www.site.com) and would much prefer to set up a Wordpress blog using a different host pointing to www.site.com/blog, as opposed to using a gem within the actual app. Whats are peoples thoughts regarding there being any ranking implications for implementing the set up as noted in this post on Stackoverflow: "What I would do is serve your Wordpress blog along side your Rails app (so you've got a PHP and a Rails server running), and just have your /blog route point to a controller that redirects to your Wordpress app. Add something like this to your routes.rb: _`get '/blog', to:'blog#redirect'`_ and then have a redirect method in your BlogController that simply does this: _`classBlogController<applicationcontrollerdef redirect="" redirect_to="" "url_of_wordpress_blog"endend<="" code=""></applicationcontrollerdef>`_ _Now you can point at yourdomain.com/blog and it will take you to the Wordpress site._

How are these sites ranking!?!
One of our clients is in the insurance industry and over the last 12 months we have seen an increasing number of low quality, newly registered, spammy sites achieving top 5 rankings for major keywords, which in turn is having an adverse effect on the rankings for our client. Does anyone have any idea how the following sites have managed to do this: http://www.multiquotetaxi.co.uk/ - 2nd for taxi insurance http://www.motortradefast.co.uk/ - 1st for motor trade insurance http://www.traders-insurance.com/ - 3rd for motor trade insurance http://www.multiquotefleet.co.uk/ - 1st for fleet insurance We have tried reporting the above sites, tried holding out to see if they get penalised and tried figuring out what they have done ourselves but cannot see how they have managed it. Any ideas at all?

What's the best way to manage content that is shared on two sites and keep both sites in search results?
I manage two sites that share some content. Currently we do not use a cross-domain canonical URL and allow both sites to be fully indexed. For business reasons, we want both sites to appear in results and need both to accumulate PR and other SEO/Social metrics. How can I manage the threat of duplicate content and still make sure business needs are met?

My homepage doesn't rank anymore. It's been replaced by irrelevant subpages which rank around 100-200 instead of top 5.
Hey guys, I think I got some kind of penalty for my homepage. I was in top5 for my keywords. Then a few days ago, my homepage stopped ranking for anything except searching for my domain name in Google. sitename.com/widget-reviews/ previously ranked #3 for "widget reviews"
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | wearetribe
but now....
sitename.com/widget-training-for-pet-cats/ is ranking #84 for widget reviews instead. Similarly across all my other keywords, irrelevant, wrong pages are ranking. Did I get some kind of penalty?0 -
Is it possible to Spoof Analytics to give false Unique Visitor Data for Site A to Site B
Hi, We are working as a middle man between our client (website A) and another website (website B) where, website B is going to host a section around websites A products etc. The deal is that Website A (our client) will pay Website B based on the number of unique visitors they send them. As the middle man we are in charge of monitoring the number of Unique visitors sent though and are going to do this by monitoring Website A's analytics account and checking the number of Unique visitors sent. The deal is worth quite a lot of money, and as the middle man we are responsible for making sure that no funny business goes on (IE false visitors etc). So to make sure we have things covered - What I would like to know is 1/. Is it actually possible to fool analytics into reporting falsely high unique visitors from Webpage A to Site B (And if so how could they do it). 2/. What could we do to spot any potential abuse (IE is there an easy way to spot that these are spoofed visitors). Many thanks in advance
