Link building during link removal
-
We were advised by out outsourced link removal vendor not to build any links while they are removing links pointing to our site.
I am worried that our site will lose significant traffic if we dont build any new links while waiting for them to remove links that caused our site to be penalized.
What are your thoughts?

I just finished going through this process with a client and i assure you 100% of your effort should be in disavowing and removing links BEFORE adding new backlinks to your site.
When Google reviews you for reconsideration they do not look at how many new links you gained but instead if you removed the bad ones that got you there in the first place. I would suggest talking to Marie Haynes on the topic - she is a great asset!

Ive read that we need to have some attempt to contact the webmasters asking to remove the link before eventually disavowing them if theyre nonresponsive/uncooperative.
yeah its tough...
this looks like a good read though

We are planning to hire expert link builders to build quality links this time.
My worry is if we will lose more traffic if we don't balance out the number links we will lose.
-
I would argue that it is neccassary to build quality links for your website even if are penalized. Although, if you are building links just to build them, and not building quality links/relationships that actually matter, then they are right.
-
If your site has been penalized, haven't you already lost rankings and traffic?
I'm assuming they're asking you not to build links to ensure they don't remove links you are adding... bah. I don't know why you outsourced this I would just do it myself. All they are doing is contacting webmasters and then disavowing. Hell they might even just be disavowing for all I know... They don't have magic tools to remove links with.
I'd fire them, attempt to remove, document, spreadsheets, screenshots of emails and requests, lists, etc and then disavow, resubmit all the while building new organic and relevant links. That's my thoughts. Sorry... I know this is tough. I have experience with this problem as well. It stinks.

About link building strategies and article publishing
Hi friends. What could be the best strategies for article publishing with links and anchor text. I did the next. I published original article in my website blog section and then next day published the same article in few news portals with links and anchor text to product landing pages. But google indexed only article from my blog. News portal in my country is with highest DA. Is it ok to do this way or better is make uncial article for every news portal and do not publish in own blog so there is no duplicates? I am afraid that doing my way is waste of time and money. Thanks for help.

Does this link building actually work?
Doing a small SEO project for a local dermatologist and when reviewing competitor link profiles I found one site that was earning a TON of links from other doctors throughout the country. From what I can tell, it looks like this web development company builds medical practice sites, then puts a page on each site that links to all other practices they created site for. Does this actually work? What would the name of this be? Recipricol links? Link farm? http://www.raleighsportsmed.com/ypo-showcase.php Thanks! Ricky

Link Building Question
Hi Community, I am currently doing some link building for a client. I have created a case study in the form of an article based around the client on our own website & linked to one of their service subpages so a user can see what kind of work they do. I am also currently trying to rank the exact same service sub page for 'KEYWORD A'. I have used 'KEYWORD A' in the title of the article (/KEYWORD-A-TEXT-TEXT) and built a link (not exact match anchor text but contains 'KEYWORD A') within the article pointing to the service subpage. Our blog post now out-ranks the service subpage by around 5 pages, my question is: 1. How long does Google take to acknowledge that the client's service subpage is more resourceful for KEYWORD A? Any other hints / tips / advice is appreciated! Thank you

Link building for a product review site
I'm doing SEO for a product review website, and I'm curious what link building opportunities are best for this category. Assume only the following: The website is basically a blog Most of the articles are reviews on cosmetic products, though there are also articles regarding news, product roundups, tips&tricks and similar content The website is in a local, non-english language Disregarding low-value opportunities such as directories, what kind of websites should I aim for outreach purposes? So far, I'm thinking the following: Product manufacturers (very low success chance, as the review site is fairly new and in a localized language) E-commerce sites selling the products (average to low success chance, since a lot of them use CMSes that might not allow integration of a review) Other cosmetic blogs, particularly for guest blogging (average to low success chance, since the website is fairly new) Any ideas would be appreciated, thanks!

Link building need help
I've been doing link building for the past 2 months for a website. I've put together some blog posts and submitted them to some sites. However, I don't want to repeat the content on other sites or use the same sites again for links. The problem with this company is that nothing is happening. The last press release they issued was in 2010 and in the 4 months I've been working for them nothing has happened. I have found a few good quality websites in our niche which I could approach for links, but I want to have good content to put on them. Does anyone have any ideas as how to create content that would be suitable, bearing in mind this a B2B company.

Link Removals (DA Damage?)
Hi, I am now working on a website with some rubbish links in their profile, which were created by the previous SEO Company. They are footer links from unrelated business websites. All authority from these links have been removed by Google during the latest updates and our SEOMOz DA went from 37 to 35 after the past Penguin update. My question is: Should I get these links removed or rather will we see any advantage to getting the links removed? Or should I just focus my efforts on getting a better link profile together using content? What I don't want to happen is to remove these not great links and then see a decrease even further of the authority. Thanks

How fast is too fast when it comes to link building?
I'm getting ready to start a massive link building campaign. I plan on using a variety of anchor texts, getting links from a variety of sources, and only getting high quality links from relevant sites. My main concern is getting penalized for gaining too many links too quickly. Does anyone have any advice on how fast is too fast? Or how much is too much in a certain amount of time? Thanks!
