Moz Local - duplicate descriptions
-
Hello, I was looking at Moz Local and saw that you are supposed to enter a business "description". However, I'm pretty sure local directories will not want duplicate descriptions - can I leave the description blank and then add varied descriptions directly? Is that a way around this issue? Your thoughts would be welcome.

You're very welcome, Luke!

Good to see you too and many thanks for your help - that's clarified everything perfectly - I can be a little over cautious at times ha

Hey Luke!
Nice to see you here. Because of the way data is shared throughout the local data ecosystem (https://mza.seotoolninja.com/learn/local/local-search-data-us), duplicate descriptions are not really avoidable. In other words, if your listing at Localeze creates a listing at YP, the description is likely to be carried along, too. With the rise of automated citation building tools, this sharing of data is simply being automated, but data is moving the same was as it would if you were building everything manually.
Can you go in manually to edit descriptions? You might be able to on some listings, but it's important to remember that Moz Local manages your listings rather than claiming them and creating a log in, so if you have to log into something, or claim something, it's my understanding that this could potentially prevent you from being able to continue to manage the listing through Moz, which would be inconvenient for you. Personally, I would not worry about descriptions being duplicated. It's pretty much baked into the way data is shared throughout the ecosystem.

Moz Local Update Info
I have been working on a project, this is a local business. Recently we migrate the site, to a new domain name http://www.oldwebsite.com https://www.newwebsite.com I use Moz Local and Moz Pro to track the site Performance. Obviously when we updated the domain name the local score when from 89 to 60. So my question How many time takes to Moz Local to update the info for the main partners? If I claim a listing on a third party website, and import that listing, how many time is going to take to update? I mean there's a lot of local directories out there, and I want to build business profiles with links pointing to my site. What happens to the Mian Partners, Example I have control over the Bing Places Account. What do I need to do, 1 update the info manually or Moz local will synchronize the info Thanks for your help

Should I use Moz Local?
I have put the time in to review all our business listings and updated it individually. Are there more advantages in using Moz Local besides the convenience? For those that use it, what else have you found to be beneficial? Would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks,

Moz Local Duplicating Street Address
Hi, Whenever I done a lookup for a client we were hoping to get on Moz Local, the listing that appeared has a repeating street address. For Example 123 Some Street, 123 Some Street, Some City, Some ZIP Code I have checked Google Plus / Google My Business and no such repetition is there. If anyone has any input on the matter it would be greatly appreciated.

Moz Local UK - Is Facebook or Google being used to verify NAP?
I am using Moz Local UK on behalf of a customer of mine. There are two verified listings when I do a search for their business name and postcode. There are a couple of slight variations in the two verified NAPs; One says Road, the other says Rd. One says their county, the other says their district - or East Sussex & Brighton & Hove. Both their Facebook and Google+ pages say Road and East Sussex. Both verified listings are wrong and in contrast to any Facebook or Google+ account. Not too sure where to go with this and would appreciate any advice :0)

Can I add all three branch locations of a small credit union to one Moz local listing, and if not, is it worth it to pay for three different local listings with MOZ?
Adding Moz local listing for a small credit union with only three branches. I am doing this to update their information across the web, but do not want to have to create three separate spread sheets and / or pay for three separate listings. Is there a way to add all three branches to one listing? If not, is it worth the expense and does it help or hurt if you add three separate listings with the same name and phone number but three different addresses. We also do not want to set up more than one Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc, accounts.

Fixing Duplicate Listings in Factual
Hey everyone, One our business listings is cited as having a duplicate listing in Factual in Moz Local. When you click on the "Fix Duplicate" button in Moz Local, it gives you a mailto: link that emails the Data Contributions team at Factual. I tried sending this team an email and received an automated response that read: "Thank you for your interest in Factual. We have partnered with a select group of Trusted Data Contributors (TDCs) to add, update, and manage business listings in Factual. We are no longer accepting contributions via email; instead, please work with one of our TDCs directly to update your data within Factual. The full list along with contact information can be found here: http://developer.factual.com/trusted-data-contributors/." So I'm caught in kind of a loop here. Am I just supposed to wait for Moz Local to push the correct data to Factual while Moz Local thinks that I'm able to fix it manually? Any and all suggestions and help is appreciated. Thanks,
