Mixed up Rankings
-
I was checking my ranking reports and double checking them on Google to see if it match.
My rankings was updated today on seomoz and almost none of the rankings match the real thing. For example I have a rank that in seomoz says 9th place and i am checking it at google and it says 6th. Is there a possible explanation?
I am in a need of an answer as soon as possible.
Thanks in Advance

Have same issue but it is Google doing it's dance at the moment will take some time to settle :-).

If you check here there are a few specific reasons why your results might vary in more detail:
http://www.seomoz.org/help/rankings
About 1/4 of the way down they detail a few reasons for the differences.
They also mention trying "To turn off personalization, append &pws=0 to the end, so it would look like google.com/search?q=SEO&pws=0."
And then theres always the chance for latency: the difference in time between when SeoMoz does the search and then sends you the report.

I am using various browsers for search plus i am not logged in and i am disabling previous search activity and stuff..........
-
Are you logged into Google? Do you have search history enabled? What is your geo targeted location?
Any of these can drastically change the rankings you will see. The effects of personalized search.
The fact that you are seeing a higher ranking in your results than what SeoMoz reports leads me to believe one of the above issues is causing your issue.
I usually have multiple browsers just for this purpose. I tend to have at least one browser that I almost never use for the purpose of "checking" rankings(opera or safari). I usually clear all cache and history from the browser to anonomize the results as much as possible. As well as to make sure that I'm not logged into Google.

Is there a way for me to find out how a keyword would rank if it were on a specific site?
Is there a way for me to find out how a keyword would rank if it were on a specific site? For example, lets say that XYZ.com does not have the keyword "ABC". Is there a way for me to find out how the keyword "ABC" would rank if it were on XYZ.com?

All ranked pages on Googles SERP only links to home
I got a problem regarding my website called musik.dk, and hope you guys are able to help. I just got my first ranking results from Moz. My question is: All my keywords are linking to the home page, and not the artist page? For examples if I were to search on Rihanna on Google, then when musik.dk appears on the SERP, it only links to the home, and not musik.dk/rihanna.. This problem applies to all the given artists ranked on Googles SERP, it never shows the artist page itself, only links to home. Let me know if you need any information, and I gladly supply, this is kind of frustrating to me.. As a note: all pages besides the home has a PA of 1, and it doesn't really seem to change. Rankings go up and down, up and down, up and down
Almost every week we have more than a two dozen keywords that will all suddenly increase in rank only to then decrease in rank right back to where they were the previous week. This happens constantly despite the fact that we are doing very little SEO-wise on a week-to-week basis. What might be causing these constant shifts?

Switching to a new website & Search Engine Rankings
Hello! We have been doing a lot of work on our SEO over the last few months and are thrilled to be in the top four four "edmonton website design" in our city. However, we are planning to launch a new website soon and are very concerned that this could negatively effect our rankings (as was the case with one of our competitors this week). What tips and techniques can you recommend in this case? On paper, the SEO on our new site is much better than the last - the url structure, contact info and content is much more targeted to our desired search terms, however, I don't want to take any chances. Is there any way to be certain (as certain as possible) that we will not get bumped to page 2? Thanks, Anton

Has anyone noticed that there are no local results in their keyword rankings?
Is anyone else having this issue? The universal rankings are not populating in my keyword rankings tool for any of my clients. Is this something that SEOmoz changedrecently?

Site Ranking Report
Hi guys, My site ranking report says that I've gone from being 1-20 for a variety of keywords in Google UK to not in the top 50. When I do a search myself I see that my site remains where it previously was (between 1-20). How reliable is the site ranking reporting on a weekly basis? Is it best to look at it monthly?
