Erroneous 404 Errors?
-
On a New Rankings & Insights email I got today, one of our sites showed over 50 404 errors totally 49% of the site. When viewing the details, every one of the errors shows the URL in the following structure: http://domainname.com/page/domainname.com. I'm not sure why this is happening, but the site and all of its pages are fine.
We were having an SSL issue, but that is cleared up now. I just ran a crawl report and all checked out ok, but there were no result in the .csv file that concatenated the domain name to the end of the URL string. That doesn't seem like it would be the issue, but it's the only issue we were aware of with this site.
This is the only site of ours that this is happening to. Does anyone have any thoughts on why this happened?
Thank you.

Different Errors Running 2 Crawls on Effectively the Same Setup
Our developers are moving away from utilising robots.txt files due to security risks, so e have been in the process of removing them from sites. However we, and our clients still want to run Moz crawl reports as they can highlight useful information. The two sites in question sit on the same server with the same settings (in fact running on the same Magento install). We do not have a robots.txt files present (they 404), and as per Chiaryn's response here https://mza.seotoolninja.com/community/q/without-robots-txt-no-crawling this should work fine? However for www.iconiclights.co.uk we got: 902 : Network errors prevented crawler from contacting server for page. While for www.valuelights.co.uk we got: 612 : Page banned by error response for robots.txt. These crawls were both run recently, and there was no robots.txt present. Not to mention, they are on the same setup/server etc as mentioned. Now, we have just tested this, by uploading a blank robots.txt file to see if it changed anything - but we get exactly the same errors. I have had a look, but can't find anything that really matches this on here - help would really be appreciated! Thanks!

Weird 404 in Crawl Diagnostics
I'am getting a lot of 404 errors (196 to be precise ) - but their pattern is weird.
Moz Bar | | oorbo
The page that the crawler is trying to find is (e.g):
http://www.oorbo.com/item/asufa-israeli-design-shop**/www.oorbo.com.
the linking page is** http://www.oorbo.com/item/asufa-israeli-design-shop meaning it adds to the end of the link the root URL - /www.oorbo.com. This happens in all 196 cases - trying to find a page http://www.oorbo.com/some-page/www.oorbo.com from a refferer page http://www.oorbo.com/some-page. Obviously this pages do not exist, and it's getting a 404. I've look into the pages themselves and digged into their code - It doesn't seem that the bad link is any where on the page. Did anyone came across this kind of issue? any one can point me to a solution ?0 -

Why is the exact same URL being seen as duplicate and showing an error in my SEO reports
Well, I am still having duplicate page issues. I have a question about one of the errors SEO is giving me when I download a crawl report. I am going to attach a screen shot of part of the report so you can see for yourself, along with explaining it here. SEO shows the list of URL's that it crawled in the report. In this(see attachment) portion of the report it has 321 results for the exact same URL. It also says all of these exact same URL's have received a 404 error. What I want to know is how does it make 321 results for the same URL? And with this error that I don't see when I look at the page? 0hkRDST

Big dip in errors last week?
Hi, I have a client who has seen a big dip in their errors, warnings and notices - pretty much consistently across all - then they popped right back up the next week. Is it possible it was a crawl error? What is the best approach to trouble shoot and find out why this happened? As far as they know, nothing major changed on their end. Thanks!
