Google Merchant Shopping - UK Mainland Shipping
-
Hi Guys,
I am setting up my first Google Merchant account. As it's only a couple of products to start, I am doing this manually rather than a xml feed, and got to shipping. If it is free shipping for UK mainland but different for scottish isles, scottish highlands and Northern Ireland, how do I reflect this?
What values do i use to suggest free shipping for UK Mainland and give different values for the others?
Regards
Neil

Neil,
Unfortunately this is not that easy - while you can create tables for delivery based on item (weight, handling time, perishability) the settings for location based variations are only available for the US, Australia and Japan.
https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/6324484?hl=en-GB
You can see here that 'location_group_name' is a supported sub-attribute...but, like I say, it is only supported for the US and Australia (and location_id for Japan as well). Without being able to show these location specific variations you are then given an unattractive option...but unfortunately I think this is the one you will need to take.
"Overestimate if you can’t provide an accurate delivery cost. Match or overestimate the cost users would pay. "
Hope that helps.

Gap in Google PPC Ads & Organic search results - New test by Google?
Hi All, Just noticed an unusual gap in PPC ads and organic search results in google NZ. while searched the same term in Google AU, it wasn't the same. Did anyone here see something similar? Is this a new test by Google to get more clicks on PPC ads and pushing down organic results? Looking forward to hear from the community. Cheers, Rattan wcB6DL1.jpg

How to track in Google Analytics 2 different subdomains (one for website, the other for PPC landing pages)
Hello Mozers! I have a website with organic visits/goals on www.site.com and a few AdWords Campaign landing pages on lp.site.com whose goals are tracked with both adwords conversion monitoring AND analytics (not imported from analytics into Adword). The landing pages of the campaign have nothing to do with the web site (different cms, they don't link each other, totally isolated) and viceversa. Given that, what would it be the best practice to configure Google Analytics to track the website (www.site.com) AND a PPC campagin (lp.site.com)? I have been told to set up different views of the same property, but do I really need that? Please let me know what are you thinking. Thank you very much. DoMiSoL Rossini

Top Ad in Google Adwords
Hello. How much of a difference does it make in click-throughs to be the first listing in Google Adwords versus the second or third (still at the top of the page)? Thank you!

Adding nyc to a keyword in Google Adwords
Hello. If I have a keyword in Google Adwords that is using phrase match ("keyword"), could it be useful to add the keyword phrase "keyword nyc"? Even if I did not add the second keyword phrase, my ad would be triggered if someone searched for "keyword nyc." So would it be redundant to add the second keyword phrase? Thank you!

Adsense and e-shops.To do or not?
I own a furniture e-shop with 240K pageviews per month. Should I put Adsense to gain some more money? Or it would drive my customers away? I see many e-shops using Adsense advertising. Is there a good reason not to use it ?
