Why do ignored crawl issues still count as issues?
-
I use Cloudflare, so I can't avoid the Crawl Error for "Pages with no Meta Noindex" because of the way Cloudflare protects email addresses from harvesting (it creates a new page that has no meta noindex values).
I marked this issue as "ignore" because there's nothing I can do about it, and it doesn't really affect my site's performance from an SEO standpoint.
But even marked as ignore, it is still included in my site crawl issues count. Of course, I want to see that issues count drop to zero, but that can't happen if the ignored issues are counted. I don't want mark it fixed, because technically it's not fixed.

Hi there!
Thanks so much for the question! Sorry for any confusion here!
Ignored issues should not count toward your total issue count once your next crawl takes place. When you ignore an issue, it will not be immediately reflected in your issue count but once your next crawl takes place, you should see the issue count reflect the removal of the ignored issue.
If you're finding that this is not happening and your ignored issues are still being counted, please send us an email at [email protected] and we'll be sure to take a look and see what's going on!
I hope this helps!

5xx Crawl Issue might not be issues at all. Help
Hi, I ran a crawl test on our website and it came back with 900 5xx potential errors. When I started opening these links 1 by 1 I could see they were actually working. So i exported the full list of 900 and went to the website: https://httpstatus.io/ pasted the links by 100 and used that. They came back with status codes of 301 / 301 / 200 which i believe means they are okay. After reading it says that my programmer may need to see if we are blocking the MOZ BOT or to slow the MOZ BOT down. I guess I'm wondering if this is not done is the site actually having these 5xx errors when Google is Crawling or is it just showing 900 errors because of MOZ BOT but actually things are okay? I know the simple answer is to get the programmer to fix the MOZ BOT issue to know for sure but getting programmers to do things take a lot of time so I'm trying to get a better idea here. Thanks for your input.

Attempts to fix MOZ recommended issues resulted in drastic ranking drop.
I have a website built in SquareSpace. https://www.ruffhaus.com/ I recently started working with MOZ to track and improve organic SEO. After my initial site crawl, search visibility was reported at a waping 2.38%. Moz showed several critical crawler issues. Most were redirect, 4xx and long URL. So I started working on fixing the redirect and 4xx issues first. I thought this was a good thing. But now my already sad search visibility has dropped to .07% (-95.97%!). I also went from #1 on keyword, brand implementation plan (and 3 variations), to #27. What? Wondering where I went wrong and how to remedy? This is all new to me so I am sure I'm not providing all the info you need to answer my question. Hoping providing the site URL will help. Fire away!

Why wont rogerbot crawl my page?
How can I find out why rogerbot won't crawl an individual page I give it to crawl for page-grader? Google, bing, yahoo all crawl pages just fine, but I put in one of the internal pages fo page-grader to check for keywords and it gave me an F -- it isn't crawling the page because the keyword IS in the title and it says it isn't. How do I diagnose the problem?

I am new to MOZ, I set up one tracking campaign two weeks ago, I have tracked no keywords, I have done some keyword research for ranking difficulty and in two weeks I have already hit 50K pages crawled, I'm maxed out, is this common?
I am a startup and can't afford the higher plans yet. And even their highest plan is 600K pages crawled, which seems really low considering how lightly I used the tool and how quickly I hit 50K. Does anyone have any advice or information on how they use the tool on lower packages? Did I do something wrong to hit 50K pages crawled that fast? Does this pricing make any sense, it seems like an incredibly high price, I love the tool, any help is appreciated.

How do I interpret Duplicate Content in a Crawl Report, when it only gives me a URL? How do I know what is duplicated on that page somewhere else?
I need help interpreting the Crawl Report for Duplicate Content. It gives me the URLs of pages that have duplicate content, but how do I know what content exactly is duplicated elsewhere? And how do I figure out where it is duplicated? Also, are there Moz Analytics articles or videos teaching you how to use each component of the analytics programs? Thanks!

Daily crawl reports, are they wasting my time?
I am relatively new here, I have 5 campaigns. I get new crawl complete reports almost every day for all of them. Wow great, except when I check the reports nothing has changed. Even if I have gone in and changed things or fixed errors, the same ones are still there and takes 4-7 days for that work to show up. Everytime I get one of these reports I am opening them up going through and not seeing the changes I implemented the previous days before. I'll spend 20-30 minutes going over these and checking details. So the question is, Are these reports wasting my time? Are they actually new reports or am I just getting spammed repeat notices everyday?
