Best strategy for Researching for FAQ
-
Hi,
I work for an eCommerce. I want to create a FAQ section on category pages with the question relative to that particular category.
For Example -https://www.lockthedeal.com/catalog/energy/battery/four-wheeler?subcategory=Cars
This is a sample URL for which I want to create a FAQ section.
What would be the best way to do research for FAQs? -
Hi,
Thanks, BobGW and Everett for your valuable suggestion.
I am in talks with my customer service guys and asked them to create a sheet of questions.@Everett, I am looking into the tools you have shared.

Hello Ravim,
I agree with Bob that the best place to start is by finding out what your customers ask, and the best place for that is the customer service people in your company, or whoever answers the phone/chat and speaks with customers directly.
In terms of keyword research, there are a number of great tools out there. I like Answer The Public, GuberSuggest, aHrefs, Moz, SEMRush... Just look for who/what/when/where/why/how questions related to that product/keyword.
Here's a great tool I use to help scrape and organize people also ask (PAA) results:
https://www.hannahrampton.co.uk/google-qa-people-also-ask-research/And, of course, you can just go to Google and start checking for yourself. See what Google is suggesting as you type. See what questions show up in the PAA accordions.

Hello,
There are some ways.
#1 talk to customer service and see what calls or emails they've had on the products in the category, or what they know about the category from working with customers. This will give you a more 10X FAQ.
Despite that, you can research the appropriate on Google, which will be useful information and needs to be included but will not make it dynamic.
You need to talk to someone who is in the business of working with customer service in each area to do the best job, whether it's in your company or not. Otherwise, you can simply Google the information, tailor what you know, and make the best FAQ possible. Try to always include something that's not in Google search that sets you apart.
I'm sure other more premium members will have other ideas. My suggestion is just our standard practice. I don't know what level you are at.

Rel="canonical" Wordpress 2015 Best Practice
There are forum posts about how to insert rel="canonical" tags in Wordpress, but I've read about lots of changes in this space recently (updates to Yoast, for example). I'm having a problem with duplicate content on one of my sites, and it seems to be coming from multiple indexes of the same pages. I'll have a blog post show up under the posts, then the archives, then the tags. So, my question is, in early 2015, what are the current best practices for adding rel="canonical" tags in Wordpress? Thanks! Tim

What is the best way to optimise a site that wants to target one service in multiple locations?
Hello! I would like to get some opinions about the best way to optimise a site/pages/URL's for a client that offers one service in multiple locations. The client has done work in various areas of the UK and wants to be found for these locations. They don't have addresses in these locations. What would be the best way to set up the pages/URLs for each location? Is there any reason why I can't have, for example, a main Portfolio page which has content about the service and a link to each portfolio in the different locations, e.g. /portfolio/london, /portfolio/hampstead, portfolio/kensington. Any advice would be very much appreciated. Thanks Kerry

FAQS For Seo & Long Tail Optimization
Would it be ok to create a small FAQ section on the particular page I am working on using long tail keywords, all which have low competition, high search volume? I see a few competitors ranking this way, but it does not flow, its very obvious they are stuffing. Thanks!

The best country specific strategy vs. an incumbent exact match domain
We are the single reseller in our country of a niche software, which has a quite general but non-competitive name. The name is already taken buy others in our country TLD, and in 1st rank. They are not related to our industry/business. Let's say our software is named blah, which could be the best country specific strategy we could have? Register a new country TLD domain with the blah in it? Something like blah-country.tdl. bl-ah.tdl? blah-software? Best Regards

Best Layout for Product Page SEO
Hi I am looking to revamp my website and would like to know your views on the best product layout for SEO - in particular if it better to have tabulated content like play.com http://goo.gl/4xdqp or non tabulated content like Amazon. http://goo.gl/cojKj Are there any pros or cons to each approach? I believe tabulated looks better and is easier to navigate but do the engines see this as hidden text? I have been told this is an issue with expandable divs. Many thanks David

Best Practice for Non-Cannibalisation of Money Term
Say I have a site which sells widgets. Site structure is as follows: Home Widgets Blue Widgets Green Widgets Red Widgets About Us Contact Us I know the money term is "blue widgets". Not "widgets" (as this is too generic, and blue/red/green widgets are only a subset of the whole 'widget' universe). How do I prevent the site from cannibalising this keyword? Do I only try to make www.mywidgetsshop.com/blue-widgets the main page for blue widgets or do I try and make the home page rank for this phrase?
