Yo-Yo-ing rankings - what's going on?
-
I'm getting a little fed up and exasperated - if I'm honest!
Our seoMoz rankings are yo-yoing on a weekly basis - extremely. One week we're in the top 3, the next week, we're not in the top 50. The week after that, we're back in the top 3. Then we're outside the top 50 again.
I understand rankings go up and down sometimes - but this is every week, without fail. Not only that, but I also check my rankings with cuteRank and Firefox's Rank Checker and while those rankings are consistent with each other - seoMoz's rankings are always different and the only ones that Yoyo.
Further, it's not just our rankings that Yoyo - it's those of our competitors too. They follow the same pattern except that when we go up, they go down, and vice versa,
I'm just a little lost and unsure what to do, and I can't believe really that this is a true reflection of what is happening to us on Google every week. I know rankings change but surely Google aren't throwing us around like this?
It is making doing any SEO on the site impossible because I never know where I stand.
Any ideas or help would be wonderful. Thanks.

Although I don't have an explanation as to why your SEOmoz rankings vary greatly every week, I can offer some suggestions/ideas to get over this little issue.
Have you tried e-mailing the SEOmoz customer service team ([email protected])? They might be able to look into your specific case and diagnose any technical problems.
In the mean time, have you tried creating a completely new campaign to see if the same thing happens?
What about using the rank tracker that is NOT part of the PRO web app? It has weekly updates and if the same problem occurs you can try manually refreshing the rank once every day.
Lastly, a little more legwork here but you could also try running your rank checker about the same time SEOmoz updates their rankings in the web app/rank checker tool. Maybe you might see a difference there?
Best of luck!

All ranked pages on Googles SERP only links to home
I got a problem regarding my website called musik.dk, and hope you guys are able to help. I just got my first ranking results from Moz. My question is: All my keywords are linking to the home page, and not the artist page? For examples if I were to search on Rihanna on Google, then when musik.dk appears on the SERP, it only links to the home, and not musik.dk/rihanna.. This problem applies to all the given artists ranked on Googles SERP, it never shows the artist page itself, only links to home. Let me know if you need any information, and I gladly supply, this is kind of frustrating to me.. As a note: all pages besides the home has a PA of 1, and it doesn't really seem to change. Why are my keyword rankings dramatically changing week to week?
I have a site (actual several) that has been up for many years now. Content is changed monthly - regularly. It would always rank in the top 5 positions for 5 or 6 keywords. Now all of a sudden (without any dramatic changes to the website) my ranking results from my weekly Moz reports are dramatically different from week to week - every week. One Keyword will be #1, then the next week it will drop 49 positions, the 3rd week it might be #5, then Not in the Top 50, then #1 again, and so and so on. This happens to all my keywords on my site. I was waiting for Google to finish it's changes to it's algorithms but it's now been long enough and I can't get a handle on what's happening, why it's happening, and what to do about it, and what direction to take with my SEO. My Traffic has actually improved over last year by approx. 25%, but I have also started a PPC campaign for this client. Any suggestions would be great.

Where in SEOMoz pro can I determine how many .edu and .gov links a competitor's site has?
Like in the SEOBook toolbar where you can click the information button and get the number of links to the domain and specific page for .edu and .gov sites. Thanks, Daniel.
