Does anybody know of solid statistical examples of websites improving CTR via rich snippets?
-
There has been a fair deal of broad speculation that "rich snippets improve CTR". The recent rich snippet infographic that SEO Moz came out with mentioned this. However the only solid examples I could find was from an example on Search Engine Land. http://searchengineland.com/how-to-get-a-30-increase-in-ctr-with-structured-markup-105830
Does anybody know of any other success examples with solid data of improved search share CTR rates when rich snippets were implemented?

Thanks. I'm sure there will be more empirical studies related to rich snippets.

Dr Pete's testing for SEOmoz http://www.seomoz.org/blog/eyetracking-google-serps
Interestingly, Ive seen a drop in traffic for a keyword that has held position when images have entered the SERP for another ranking i.e. we lost traffic when a competitor had an image
hope this helps

How much content is duplicate content? Differentiate between website pages, help-guides and blog-posts.
Hi all, I wonder that duplicate content is the strong reason beside our ranking drop. We have multiple pages of same "topic" (not exactly same content; not even 30% similar) spread across different pages like website pages (product info), blog-posts and helpguides. This happens with many websites and I wonder is there any specific way we need to differentiate the content? Does Google find the difference across website pages and blog-pots of same topic? Any good reference about this? Thanks

Sub domains take away the pagerank/link juice of main website?
Hi all, I would like to know how sub domains will be collaborated with domain or main website in terms of authority, backlinks, link juice, etc...Link juice will be passed to sub domains from domain or vice versa? If there are large number of pages in sub domain, will that going to impact the ranking of main domain? Backlinks of sub domain are going to be a deciding factor for website ranking too? Thanks

Will more landing pages with related keywords improve ranking of main keyword?
Hi all, We are in the process of creating new landing pages and noticed something what our competitors been following with landing pages. They have created multiple landing pages targeting the related keywords of a main topic / main keyword. Like "seo defined", "seo history", "seo benefits", "seo strategies", "types of seo", etc being "SEO" as main keyword or main topic. Will this works? Thanks

A website Mobile versions for different languages
Hi There!, A website available in two languages(EN, FR) but mobile version is only available for one languages (EN). Mobile website is designed by following 'Separate URLs' configuration. So all English version desktop URLs are redirected to corresponding mobile version pages. For example : https://www.sitegeek.com/godaddy

is redirect to: https://m.sitegeek.com/godaddy (if page opened in mobile)
() But, same URL is in France language https://fr.sitegeek.com/godaddy is not redirected to https://m.sitegeek.com/godaddy So what would the correct implementation? France version would be redirected to English mobile version till Fr version is not prepared or it should not be redirected ? Rajiv0 -
Parallel mobile website
After researching and comparing desktop keywords vs mobile keywords, I came to the conclusion that they are pretty much the same, with minor variations. The new keywords for mobile website do not have a great potential for bringing in much traffic. If I don't want to go after those new mobile, do I need to build separate links to our parallel mobile website (URL) to rank better or the link building for my desktop website would be enough to rank for my parallel mobile website as well?

Considering the Panda algorithm updates, would you recommend reducing high amounts of inbound links from a single website?
My website has a significant number of inbound links (1,000+) from a single website, due to a sponsorship level contribution. Both my website and the other are authorities in the industry and in search results (PR of 5). Since even ethical websites can suffer a penalty from each iteration of Panda, I'm considering significantly removing the number of links from this website. Do you think that measurable change would be seen favorably by Google or would the drop in links be detrimental?
