Move To a full new Website
-
Hey everyone,
I'm going to change my website's Domain, Server, CMS and Theme
I can't find any full & detailed answer to how to do that without losing anything, is anybody here has a full resource or could tell me a how-to checklist for doing that.
Thanks in advance,

Its "just" a Launch with a combined Relaunch
You could use both checklist like https://mza.seotoolninja.com/blog/10-things-relaunch-your-website for the relaunch part. Here you could find Redirects and so on.
Additional you could use https://mza.seotoolninja.com/blog/starting-over-part-1-a-prelaunch-checklist for the Launch Part (Domain, Server, CMS, ...).
Dont forget part 2 and 3 https://mza.seotoolninja.com/blog/starting-over-part-2-launch, https://mza.seotoolninja.com/blog/starting-over-part-3-optimize.
Depands on the website, but normally it's not a one man job - a team with a lot of knowledge (ideal in relaunch) should support that job.

I have found https://mza.seotoolninja.com/blog/web-site-migration-guide-tips-for-seos to be pretty helpful as well as this https://mza.seotoolninja.com/blog/achieving-an-seo-friendly-domain-migration-the-infographic. Good luck!

Questioning people that left the website?
If we have a pop up on our site and new customers have subscribed to get 5% off (which i believe shows intent) and they do not purchase would you contact them and find out why they have not purchased to get a better understanding of issues with the website, If so I believe it needs to be more than the standard email of further discount (for example receive an extra 10% discount) or standard do you need help email (we need to either talk direct with them or offer something for there help such as 50% off) Any help would be appreciate in finding our pain points on the site www.fastprint.co.uk.

Redirect From .aspx to .html if already indexed - Website Redesign
Hi Guys I would like to know if somebody could possibly shed some light on this for me. We are in the process of re-designing our site, but we are keeping all of our content in terms of site structure, internal linking etc. the same. Now we were wondering if it would be a SEO best practice for us to change our pages' extension from .aspx to .html and just put a re-direct from the aspx to the html pages. Or should we keep everything as is, and maybe just revise our on-page seo efforts as well as do some more link-building. I just have to note that we are currently ranking very well for top positions and obviously all these pages are already nicely indexed. And then another question I have is with regards to our mobi site of this same website. Our dev team created it using Responsive Web Design, but they decided to implement techniques that show and hide content based on what device you are viewing it on. So when viewing it on your desktop, it will show content as per normal, but when viewing it on a mobile device it will hide this content and show the content formatted for that specific mobile device. So we are obviously sitting with a case of dup content here.Is this technique acceptable, or is there a workaround/different way of implementing this? Thanks In Advance Dave

Intuit Website Hosting - Stand-Alone Webite?
Hi all! My name is Yehuda and I'm new to this community. There's an issue i'm having trouble with: My site is hosted by Intuit Websites, and I use their Website Builder. Though it has its own domain name, it seems my "site" may just be a subdomain of their intuitwebsites.com website. I'm trying to figure out if my site is actually a stand-alone website, and what ramifications/issues there be in terms of bot crawling & SEO. Does anyone have a thought on this?

Is anyone using Humans.txt in your websites? What do you think?
http://humanstxt.org Anyone using this on their websites and if so have you seen and positive benefits of doing so? Would be good to see some examples of sites using it and potentially how you're using the files. I'm considering adding this to my checklist for launching sites

New to SEOMoz... where to start?
Hi all. I'm new to SEOMoz and not sure where to start... is there a guide on how to use it? Also, I'm not sure how the link part of works... when I ran a search on some competition websites, all I got was internal links which obviously is useless. Please advise? Rgds
