Is This Service a Waste Of Money

Hi Diane.
I was curious so I took a look at the site.
Basic package - the only service they provide is to submit your sitemap 12x per month. Very simple and cheap sitemap software will do this for you free as many times as you want. No value at all. Not really worth mentioning but they submit to 100 search engines. Since Bing+Yahoo+Google = 98% of traffic, and Ask = 1%, the rest really don't matter.
I looked at their remaining packages and I see nothing of any tangible benefit to a SEOmoz PRO member.
Looking at their reviews, 25 of 49 reviews offer a 1 out of 5 star rating. http://www.ciao.co.uk/Reviews/123_reg_co_uk__5111134
Is This Service a Waste Of Money
I haven't used the service but everything I looked at seems to indicate it is worth purchasing.

Pip your competitors to the post
I have no idea what that is but it sounds really, really cool. If they're going to do that, what else do you need?
For engines that matter you don't need to submit anything. In fact, I would just go about getting your links and you'll be found anyways. You don't need this service.

many thanks for the advice

I would not, get a link to your site and all search engines will find it.
all these services are just value adding, makeing money out of peoples fears and lack of knoladge,

Nothing spectacular here. It is just a standard search engine submission service. How in the world can they offer any thing more - in terms of organic search. Either that or they would probably put the website up on their network of site to drive some traffic through.

Home Page Ranking Instead of Service Pages
Hi everyone! I've noticed that many of our clients have pages addressing specific queries related to specific services on their websites, but that the Home Page is increasingly showing as the "ranking" page. For example, a plastic surgeon we work with has a page specifically talking about his breast augmentation procedure for Miami, FL but instead of THAT page showing in the search results, Google is using his home page. Noticing this across the board. Any insights? Should we still be optimizing these specific service pages? Should I be spending time trying to make sure Google ranks the page specifically addressing that query because it SHOULD perform better? Thanks for the help. Confused SEO :/, Ricky Shockley

Any tips to maximize the SEO benefit of a 3d model embed service (e.g Matterport) for a realty site?
Hi All, My client grabbed a Matterport camera and I'm trying to get the most out of the embedded models from an SEO standpoint. Other than slapping alt text on iframes, the only thing I turned up was a wordpress plugin that appears to point links you share of the embed (not just the page it is on) back to your own website instead of matterport's. Any thoughts appreciated.

Newspaper Article Placement Services
Has anyone here used Newspaper Article Placement Services or NAPS as they are commonly called? I was looking for a way to generate direct traffic to the site and our demographic still reads a fair amount of the printed word. My concern is that if these items get into the websites of these newspapers I could run into a duplicate issue. We have some quality writers who can generate some great content that we already use on our site. We are looking for a way to expand into the printed world. Thanks!

Google Places, Plus, and National Service
I'm attempting to dive into the Google Places and Google + Local mess. First off, we are a company that services nationally. Our installer manager travels worldwide however in 15+ areas we have local sales and/or installers that service customers locally. There is no business storefront, rather they work out of their home and travel around their local area (100+ miles). Our main office is a storefront and we do service clients at our store, plus travel locally and nationally, as I mentioned. #1) Can I (should I) create separate listings for each of these installers? They are independent contractors... Use their local phone number and residential home address? Put somehow put our main 800 number as the secondary number along with our main website address? Or, should we try the bulk upload feature of 'stores' and attach them to our name and website address? #2) Our Places address is under our Marketing Director's login through Google. We have most everything else under another email address which includes our Google Plus Business page, AdWords, Merchant account, etc. Should I go back and claim the Places page through our main email account, and then merge the Places account with our Google Plus page? #3) Currently our Places page says we serve all 50 states. Should I try to keep that the same (I don't think you can select 'states' for the areas you service anymore, or can you?) or should I move to our local installers in our 15+ and growing areas? I've been reading through past Google Places discussions here and I've been trying to find out more about the bulk upload feature to see if it would work but I'm getting stumped.

What are the potential SEO downsides of using a service like unbounce for content pages?
I'm thinking of using unbounce.com to create some content driven pages. Unbounce is simple, easy-to-use, and very easy for non-devs at my company to create variations on pages. I know they allow adding meta descriptions, title tags, etc and allow it to be indexable by Google, but I was wondering if there were any potential downsides to using unbounce as opposed to hosting it myself. Any help would be appreciated!

Is there actual risk to having multiple URLs that frame in main url? Or is it just bad form and waste of money?
Client has many urls that just frame in the main site. It seems like a total waste of money, but if they are frames, is there an actual risk?

Schema for Services
There are many schemas for products, but I don't see any for services. They have intangible offers, but it's still for selling a product. I contacted Schema.org an no response. Here is the schema: http://schema.org/Offer So my question for someone who sells a service: What is the schema for a service like insurance, shipping, financial services?
