Is open site explorer running on your side
-
I am facing trouble to open the website http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/ please check on your side and let me know
-
Hi Antony, I would seems to be probably the server is overloaded, down or unreachable because of a network problem or a a website maintenance is in progress.
If the site is live and yet you cant access the page, try one of the below solutions:
- Reload the site directly from the Internet. This can be achieved by pressing CTRL + F5 keys at the same time on your favourite browser (Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, etc.)
- Temporarily disable your computers firewall and close any anti-virus software that may be running in the background.
- Clear your DNS cache to make sure that it is not an ISP specific issue.
(Start > Command Prompt > ipconfig /flushdns) - Switch off the modem, restart the computer, and turn on the modem again. Also clear the Internet cookies and browser cache.
-
Ok, it might be a 3rd party cookie issue. What browser do you use?
-
thanks istvan
I have cleared my cookies and cache and then check the website it is showing the same results. I have noted one thing when i opened the website i found the these lines at footer that "waiting for seomoz.org, waiting for opensiteexplorer.org " then after that this message is showing
The web page at http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/ has resulted in too many redirects. Clearing your cookies for this site or allowing third-party cookies may fix the problem. If not, it is possibly a server configuration issue and not a problem with your computer.

Hi Antony,
It works well at me.
1. try to clear your cache and reload the page
2. contact the Help team with technical details (where are you located, what browser, what OS are you using, etc. etc.) so if it is a bug that you face, then they can help you out with it. You can contact them at help (at) seomoz . org
I hope that helped.
Gr.,
Istvan

What tool can I use to find the top traffic-driving keyword for a batch of pages from multiple sites?
I thought I might be able to use Ahref's Batch Analysis for this, but that just gives stats on backlinks. I have a several lists of thousands of pages scraped for particular sets of keywords, but what I need is some way to automate fetching the biggest keyword that each page ranks for - biggest being the keyword that is estimated to drive the most organic traffic. Is there a tool out there that does something like this?

Why is the Site indexed?
Hi, I'm trying to test a few things for which I've registered and set up new domains. For the set up I used Wordpress. Each Site has about three articles in it but no links pointing to them. Also I didn't take any measures to get my site indexed. However, one week later all my sites were indexed. Why is that and how can it be? I'm thankful for any answer since the problem is really ruining my test environment. The only clue I have, as to why this could be happening, is that I didn't remove the ping sites. Is that the reason? Or are there also other reasons? Thanks

Confused about sites ranking when compared to each other
I'm looking at the keyword "snow guards" for two competitor websites: snogem dot com (SG) snoshield dot com (SS) I've been watching these two for about 4 months. SG stays in the top 5 SERPs consistently, while SS bounces around from 15-20 on Google. I've looked at the competitive link comparison and SS appears to have a much better link profile when it comes to DA. Page specific metrics in OSE show SS with a higher mozrank, moztrust, internal followed links, linking root domains, total linking root domains, and linking C Blocks. It appears to me that SG has many more links, but their links seem to be many site wide exact match keyword links, and paid for advertisements on a major site in the metal roofing industry. Honestly the linking profile of SG surprises me that they rank so much higher than SS after the Panda/Penguin updates. I have two questions: 1. When competing against these sites, should I model SG's link profile? I'm nervous to because of my previous statement thinking they will get hit with Panda/Penguin like updates. 2. What would it take to bounce SS to competing with SG on the first page? Is the number of links the only thing this site is missing, or is there something else to focus on.

C Block Links in Open Explorer
Hi there, Wondering if anyone can help me with understanding the advanced reports in Open Explorer. I'm looking to create a list of competitors links to go after but don't want to create loads of links from the same c blocks for blog posts, articles etc. In open explorer it says my competitor has 451 linking C Blocks but when i download csv's using advanced reports with the filter of 'links that come from the same C block', the csv only has 26 links. The same happened with the filter 'from the same ip address'. How can i download and analyse the links so I can see all the linking C blocks and know which sites I want to use and which ones I want to avoid? Thanks, Ross
