Keyword Repetition in Title Tag
-
I am managing an online pharmacy website which has thousands of pages. I'm creating title tags for the pages that currently have automated tags.
I generally choose a word, find the next best alternative and merge them in the title.
Often this results in repetition of 2-3 words.Examples below:-
Title:- Skincare Treatment, Buy Skincare Products Discounted at Online PharmacyTitle:- Nebulisers, Buy Nebulisers UK Discounted at Online Pharmacy
Title:- Electronic Dictionaries, Buy Best Electronic Dictionaries Discounted at Online Pharmacy
Title:- Cat Skin Care, Buy Cat Skin Care Products Discounted at Online Pharmacy
Are these OK or would Google penalize us for it?

Yes, you are within the acceptable range, save for maybe these two: **Maybe remove what I **emboldened
Title:- Electronic Dictionaries, Buy Best Electronic Dictionaries Discounted at Online Pharmacy
Title:- Cat Skin Care, Buy Cat Skin Care Products Discounted at Online Pharmacy

As to the first question (are they OK)- They are just keywords/phrases essentially. If you believe that is the way to improve your lot with this portion of on site, I guess they are OK. But, they are pretty much spammy titles IMHO.
So, the way to change that is to follow a bit of convention as opposed to seeing what you can get in the 65-70 characters:
Let's say your site is Cool Online Pharmacy then for Cat Skin Care I would have a title tag like this:Discounted Skincare Products for Cats | Cool Online Pharmacy (I do not believe there is a need for the word buy, but will get some disagreement on that I am sure)
Then: For Nebulisers Nebulisers | Discount Nebulisers | Cool Online Pharmacy
I don't think based on title tag alone that you would face a penalty doing these the way you have them. I do think that they look terrible and people will see them as poorly done. By having the brand second after the pipe ( | ) you are branding the site and at the same time insuring your keywords are first.
Best
Edit: You do not need UK in the title tag if site is a ccTLD, if GWMT is set to EN - UK, or if server is in UK. (You need to follow one of these anyway so you do not need UK in title)

Keywords on Title Tag and Meta Description?
I have question regarding the use of keywords on title tag and meta description. I will take my website as example... Title Tag: Web Design Company & Digital Marketing Agency in Jakarta Meta Description: Coriate is a full-service website design & Internet marketing firm in Indonesia. We offer the best web solutions and SEO service in the industry. My questions: Is it good? Because I followed Blue Fountain Media. They don't use same keyword on title tag and meta description. You can see on title tag I use "web design" while on meta description I use "website design". Or should I use "web design" on meta description too? Blue Fountain Media doesn't use their company name on title tag. But when I search "Blue Fountain Media" on Google, it only showed their company name. How? Their title tag was "Website Design Company & Digital Marketing Agency in NYC | BFM". Is it necessary to use H1? Because as you can see on my company website Coriate there's no H1.

Shortening Titles
Have a ecommerce site using woocommerce. Most product titles contain the information needed for the product. I have shorten the title as much as possible but; Most of the titles are about 18-19 characters over 70 characters the recommended max. I have removed all possible characters from the title but I could remove the site name - this would get it down by about 18 characters - meaning most titles would then be just under the 70 characters recommended. Would removing the site name from the title of all the products be a bigger problem than good?

Title Tag suggestions for blog....
Hi Guys. I have been sorting out title tags for a photography site. I have given each page within the website a different title tag but now Im unsure as what I should do with the blog. Blog title tag is currently "Portrait Photographer London | Company Name Blog" This is fine however wordpress combines the homepage title tag with the title of each blog post and imo makes for a long & cumbersome title...such as : "The Obamas Family Portrait | Portrait Photographer London | Company Name Blog" I'm pretty sure I could do better and should do better but Im at a loss, what do you guys think?

Strange titles showing in WMT?
On one of my wordpress sites, I have just checked it out in Google Webmaster tools and under duplicate titles it is showing spam titles which I did not add? Lamisil Buy - Buy Online on two pages of the site However these two pages are no longer online? So I have 2 quick questions please 1.) How did they add a title to these 2 pages 2.) Why is it still showing in WMT when these pages are no longer live? Also under duplicate titles it is showing pages that dont exist? i.e. ?yonidza=orde and some of which such as weddings.html are pages from the old site structure that no longer exist - how can I reduce these errors down?

How? Title in Google differs than actual title tag
Just curious on how sites do this? If you search for a video (perhaps Green Lantern Trailer), you'll see the YouTube results in Google/Bing listed as YouTube - Green Lantern Trailer but when you go to the page, the actual title tag displayed is Green Lantern Trailer - YouTube I've seen other sites do this too. I'm just curious what they are doing (I don't see any other title tags in the html)? I thought your title tag is what is displayed in SERP? Thanks,

Keyword Self- Cannibalization
I have a question about Keyword Self Cannibalization. I have a web page which is targeting the main keyword as "sarees". But this same page has internal linking from the keywords Benarasi Silk Sarees, Silk Saree, Traditional Sarees, cotton sarees, etc to their respectve pages. We are optimizing those pages separately for their respective keywords as well. When I run on-page report card for these web page from seomoz tool, I got an error says "Avoid Keyword Self-Cannibalization". Is this due to the internal linking from these keywords? Can anybody recommend a solution for this problem?

Singular X Plural on keywords
Hi there... I´s always confused about which one should I focus, keywords in singular or plural. Some says: "look at Google Insight and look which one has more traffic", other says "go for the plural, because you´ll get both keywords at the same time (ex: dogs and _cat_s). Which one is the right way ?
