Sign up form
-
Hi,
My company sells a SAAS B-to-B product. The measure of success for most of our marketing channels is how many people sign up for a free 30-day trial of our product.
We are about to launch new learning centers without about 20 new pieces of content. The primary goal of this new content is to attract more organic search volume, which in turn should give us more sign ups.
My CEO would like me to put our sign up form directly on all these pages to encourage sign ups. If we put our sign up form directly on each of these pages, will search engines ding us? Does Google etc. see form fields and view that as bad? Our other option is, instead of including the form directly on the pages, to include an 'ad' space on the pages with a link that takes people to our actually sign up page that includes the form.
The other part of my question is around the placement of the form or ad unit. Will any SEO issues be mitigated by ensuring we have real content displayed in the code before the form? Visually, in this case, it would be on the right side instead of the left. In general, can you comment on the importance placement for a form or ad unit compared to the meaty part of the content?
Thanks!

If there is enough unique content on each individual page, having the form on each of them is best practices from a Conversion Rate Optimization perspective.

We are writing 5,000 word long form content that is relevant and engaging. It is too long?
We are writing a series of relevant and informative "power pages" on our site. In the past these have been 2,000 to 3,000 words and our audience has shown to be highly engaged with these pages and they converted well. We have decided to expand our new pages to capture more relevant keywords/topics and the result is they are a bit over 5,000 words. Is there a point where long content, even if highly relevant and engaging, is too long to benefit SEO? Is there any reason we would limit ourselves to 2,000-ish word long form content? I ask because I have read multiple blog posts that suggest that long form content that has ranked well in Google ranges between 2,000 and 3,000 words.

URL Parameters, Forms & SEO
Hi I have some pages on the site which have a quote form, in my site crawl I see these showing as duplicate content - my webmaster says this isn't the case, but I'm not sure. Landing page - https://www.key.co.uk/en/key/high-esd-chairs Page with form - https://www.key.co.uk/en/key/high-esd-chairs?quote-form - this also somehow has a canonical on it pointing to https://www.key.co.uk/en/key/high-esd-chairs?quote-form Which neither of us have added. I'm thinking we need to get the canonical needs to be updated to https://www.key.co.uk/en/key/high-esd-chairs Is it worth doing this for all these pages or am I worrying about nothing? Becky

Best tools for submitting contact forms of 1000 websites?
For a new B2B service we have identified websites that we would like to make aware of our service.
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | lcourse
There are about 1000 websites for which it was not possible to retrieve emails, and where we need to do the outreach using the websites contact pages. Do you know of any tools that save time or outsource companies specialized in such a service? We do not want to fully automize the process but a human should do a visual check that form is properly filled. What I imagine could save time would be tools that already load from a list of URLs the next pages already in the background of the browser and good autoform fillers. Any recommendations?0 -

GA and Ajax Forms
Hi Mozzers, Gravity Forms for Wordpress provides an unsurpassed user experience. The form submits and the form response replaces it without having to reload or redirect to another page. The problem is that without a redirect there's no way to track this event in Google Analytics. I'm interested in hearing from anyone who tried to track and ajax event in Google Analytics.
