How to alter the search result to this?
-
When searching for "kredittkort" on Norwegian Google I get a search results that looks like this. I want to replicate this, but I'm not sure what information they've provided and how they've done it.
It's seems like their both listing products AND have sitelinks connected to a subsite. How is this possible? The sitelinks aren't even subpages of the ranked site. How have they managed this?
Also, is the product previews they have?
-
That what I was afraid of - that both the table information and sitelinks were autogenerated from Google without any support from the website owner.
I'm still really curious on how Google got to the sitelinks. Any suggestions?
-
Odd, it's showing up for me. What I'm looking at is the third and fifth results (Bilge Pumps and RC Model Warship Kits and Hulls). You should be able to see what I'm looking at by doing a [site:strikemodels.com/products] query in Google as well.
I'll highlight what I'm talking about and reupload too.

Keri, the images you uploaded are not showing up right. Can you please check. I am kinda curious to look

Google may be pulling information from a table. I've seen it on other sites in Q&A, and they're doing it on my own site too (see attached image). All of the information that they're displaying I have in an actual table on my site, and I've done nothing else other than put it in a table.

Robots.txt Disallow: / in Search Console
Two days ago I found out through search console that my website's Robots.txt has changed to User-agent: *
Technical SEO | | RAN_SEO
Disallow: / When I check the robots.txt in the website it looks fine - I see its blocked just in search console( in the robots.txt tester). when I try to do fetch as google to the homepage I see its blocked. Any ideas why would robots.txt block my website? it was fine until the weekend. before that, in the last 3 months I saw I had blocked resources in the website and I brought back pages with fetch as google. Any ideas?0 -
Help: Blog post translations resulting in 404 Not Found?
A client set up a website that has multilingual functionality (WPML) and the back end is a bit of a mess. The site has around 6 translated versions of the 30 or so existing English blog posts in French, Italian and Spanish - all with their own URLs. The problem is that on the remaining 24 English blog posts, the language changer in the header is still there - even though the majority of posts have not been translated - so when you go to change the language to French, it adds **?lang=fr **onto the existing english URL, and is a page not found (4xx client error). I can't redirect anything because the page does not exist. Is there a way to stop this from happening? I have noticed it's also creating italian/french/spanish translation of the english Categories too. Thanks in advance.

I have a client whose shop will be down a few days. What would provide less impact to organic search program?
I have a client who is moving their warehouse, and their shop will be down for four days. I have been doing some research on the best ways to handle this and I wanted to get the communities feedback on this. One thought is to have the pages live, but people can't place an order - but this does not provide the best customer experience. Another thought is to just do temporary redirects for the shop pages, to land on the "sorry we are moving" page for customers. Another thought was to do 503 HTTP status codes on the pages and then do a temporary redirect to the landing page. Have any of you experienced this issue? If so, what did you do to minimize the impact to the organic search programs? NOTE: All of their static content will remain in tact. Only the shop/store will be down.

Google site: operator showing only 30 results for whatever website you may like, omitting the rest
site:wikipedia.org site:seomoz.org site:nytimes.com site:WHATEVER YOU PUT HERE 🙂 is currently always showing just 3 SERP pages and the well known ugly message: In order to show you the most relevant results, we have omitted some entries very similar to the 30 already displayed.

If you like, you can repeat the search with the omitted results included. Any idea what's going on?!!? Ongoing update?0 -
Open site explorer varied results according to country
We have a global team and we have noticed something unusual. When we do a "Compare link metrics" search in Open Site Explorer in the US our client is beating the competition hands down. When we run the exact same data in Canada, where our client is based, the client has the same metrics, but a few of the competitors numbers are higher. What could cause this variation? Both accounts are full versions, and not freebies.

Look of google results
Can anyone tell me why some google results show the main page and then a listing of all subsequent pages (i.e. results for SEOMOZ) while others just show the main page with nothing under it. I have two different sites (one personal the other biz) and they both show their search results differently. Is it something in the site creation or how it is crawled by google? Thanks. bKs3C

What Google uses in search result descriptions
Recently, Google has started including certain information from our web pages in their search results description that is a bit puzzling. For example if you google 'Wedding Band Raleigh' the description they are using for our site's (GigMasters) page begins with the text 'Results 1 - 10 of 1005' Not sure why they are pulling that information. That is in on the page but its not high up on the page or marked with any special h1, h2, or h3 tag. We do have that information inside of a div which we have named 'Results'. Maybe that's why? Did we inadvertently use some sort of Google rich snippet or schema.org naming convention?! Any insight would be hugely appreciated.

Can search engines penalize my site if I block IPs from some countries?
I have spotted that some countries in South America generate lot's of traffic on my site and I don't want to sell my service there. Can I be penalized for blocking IPs from certain counties? Thanks!
