I definitely recommend Google+ to build circles and share content
Second would be blogging and creating unique content
Third would be LinkedIn to share your blog posts and Google+ content in groups and to your connections
-
Social Hours: You budget either your hours or a staff persons hours to do social, but need to be laser focused on what will get social traction but also help SEO
-
To start...
TWITTER
You can use a tool like SocialBro to analyze your twitter followers. There you want more relevant followers and industry influencers to follow you. From there you can begin sending targeted tweets incorporating the @ accounts of your key influencers. Try to follow their posts and blogs and have relevant discussions with them including keyword #hashtags. #FF Fan Friday shout outs are great ways to build good will.GOOGLE+
Build your circles and add great content worthy of +1's and sharesLINKEDIN
Setup a company page and join relevant groups. Then use your posts to target messages that group members and your followers find valuable.Aaron

Does anyone have an example of a web page that is ranking soley through social media popularity and does not have any inbound (website to website) links? I am creating a presentation on SEO and Social Media and it would be great to have an example. Thanks Carla

Greetings from OS grid reference SE404481 🙂 I really like the graph on slide 16 of this presentation:http://www.slideshare.net/stevelatham/social-media-strategy-spur-interactive I would like to replicate this but I would like to know if any SEOMOZ member could recommend a tool that can monistor sentiments eg positive & negative commments about a brand across different social media platforms. I also wonder how these packages measure negativity, do they just scan word negative words? Thanks in advance, David

What Happens To Social Media Love After A 301?
Say you have a WordPress site with a number of posts that have all been given lots of tweets, G+, FB likes and other social media love, and say you are showing that using a social media plugin on each post that shows the counts of all of these. If you 301 redirect the pages to another site, will the social media love counts follow, or will the page on the new site have to start again as far as social media is concerned? QhqeL

Do forums still have any SEO value?
Hi All! I want to know what people think about having forums on their sites. Do you still find value on these, or are they mostly a waste of resources? Would it be better to use facebook's registration plugin or something along those lines? Any other thoughts or suggestions on this topic would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Margarita

Social Media valuable for organic rankings?
Is there a link between ranking higher in organic search rankings and having a good social media presence. I think there is, the more likes and followers you have the better. The real question is how to you utilise it, do you regulary share content, put keywords in the share info for the ones you want to rank, how best can you utilise social media to help in organic search? I suspect social noise is used towards some kind of overall quality score in the search engines.

Linkbuilding vs. Social -- Allocating scarce resources.
I just watched Rand's latest webinar on the end of search without social. It was very timely for me because I've been putting a lot of thought into how allocate my available person-hours. It is clear that SEO these days necessitates both linkbuilding and social. But how much of each? (50%/50%?, 80%/20%?, etc.) -For the DIY small business owner (<10 hours per week available for SEO) -For SEO savvy web business (~20 hours per week available of SEO) -For in-house or other full time SEO's (30+ hours available) Clearly it depends on a lot of other factors, I'm just looking for a good rule of thumb that can be adjusted according to the business.

Is there a way on OSE or any other site to find the 50 most socially shared URLs on a given domain?
I'd love to see which URLs on a specific domain get socially shared the most. I know I can use OSE to say figure out exactly how much social sharing has happened on let's say this URL:
Social Media | | Almonds
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barack_Obama But what if I want to figure out the top 50 most shared URLs across all of wikipedia.org. Is that possible on OSE or anywhere else? If not, do you have some ideas on how something similar could be achieved?0 -

Hello, How much weight do links from social media carry for seo? We are trying to develop a social media package for a client and we are unclear as to how much time to dedicate to SM every month and we would like some opinions. Thanks!
