Warrior Forum, Is it good for seo?
-
The Warrior Forum just changed there membership from free to paid. They have do follow attributes but I was wondering what peoples take is on joining them for both learning and seo purposes?
-
Agreed with everyone above. I started there as well and got fed up with the "overnight results, push-button easy!".
There are some smart people with good stuff on there, but too much to wade through to find it.
Your time is much better spent on SEOmoz, in my opinion

Skip it.
You feel like taking a shower after spending time on this site.
Seems to be mostly a bunch of small-time sleazebags trying to con each other into spending a few bucks of marketing guides that provide...
Secret Tips!
Get Rick Quick Schemes !
There may be a little worthwhile info on the site, but it's a very bad neighborhood, IMHO.

Like others have said, you have to wade through a lot of noise to find the nuggets of good content on the Warrior Forum. However, the paid forum has a better S/N ratio than the free forum, and it's a fairly inexpensive one-time fee to join, so I think it's a pretty good deal. I am personally a member.

SEOmoz FTW!

I completely agree with Ben.
You can find a lot of useful info on the Warrior forums and there are some really good SEO's on there but you often have to wade through a lot of misleading information to get to the real pearls of wisdom. I probably wouldn't pay for acces to it either.

Hi Joel,
I used to spend a ton of time on the Warrior forum. Every once in a while there is a worthwhile discussion, but mostly people are looking to sell their products. When I first became interested in SEO, I even bought a few of their guides. And while they were not completely useless, most of them didn't tell me anything that I could not have learned for free on a blog.
I personally would not pay for being a member of the Warrior Forum. In the Post-Penguin world, many of the tactics expoused there are not only useless, but can be detrimental to the health of your websites. Maybe I am painting with too broad a brush, but there it is.

You can learn a lot.
But what you'll learn is probably a lot different from what you'll hear on SEOMoz.
I wouldn't want to say that one is right and one is wrong but right now I wouldn't pay for access to Warrior Forums.

Domain vs. page SEO
Hi I'm new to SEO and trying to optimize one of my pages. However this page that I'm trying to optimize is not the homepage. Does it mean that since I have collected links from other pages to my homepage that the specific page I'm trying to SEO doesn't get any "link juice"? And how could this situation be corrected? Is the only way to get direct links to the page I'm trying to optimize?

What is a good ratio of total links to linking root domains?
Is 100 total links for every linking domain too high? I suppose I could also look at ratios of sites that are doing well in the rankings.

Does anyone do seo on their twitter pages
Hi, i am just wondering if anyone does any seo or anything with their twitter page to gain more followers. I have justover 19,000 followers and since launching the twitter account we are getting about 500 followers per week and i am just wondering if there is anything we should do to improve this. I am not sure if we should be putting keywords into our twitter page or anything else to let people know about our twitter page. any advice would be great. also, when we set up our twitter page we decided to use the following twitter name @2celebritynews just wondering if you are allowed to change this at any stage as we should really have got the twitter page of @in2town if it is not possible to change it then maybe we will need to start over again

Could I be the victim of negative SEO?
While I was searching for bad links to one of my website, I realized that there were lots of backlinks from trackbacks on various blogs. Most of these trackback links are definitely spammy as they are not relevant with the blog topics and they use exact anchor text. The thing is that I am 300% sure that it has nothing to do with any SEO campaign services I've bought in the past. They link back to pages I've never optimized at all. So could I be the victim of a negative SEO campaign? What do you think?

Facebook Notes for SEO Purposes ?
I just two minutes ago learned what a Facebook note is. I discovered this while doing a search of one of my keywords and i noticed one of the results was a Facebook note talking about the keyword with links in it to a competitors Amazon page. Is anyone here familiar with using Facebook Notes as an SEO tool? It obviously works if they are appearing in my search results. Does anyone know basic guidelines in terms of how many links, anchor text, etc... ? Thanks a lot...
