is it a separate title tags and description for all pagination pages.
We have common title tag and meta desciption of all pagination pages
should we need to modify the same

Hello Gagan, please note my suggestion is to use "noindex, follow", not "noindex, nofollow".
Your links will still be followed, it's just that your paginated pages will not be indexed which should eliminate problems with duplicate content.
You might even be more interested in using rel="next" and rel="prev" as described here.

We have 3 sections -
a) Used Cars
b) Deals & Offers
c) News & Reviews
been the sections have listings like
- ne old cars been added will create further listing pages
http://www.mycarhelpline.com/index.php?option=com_usedcar&view=category&Itemid=3
- Deals & Offers
again we update discounts for the month and old discounts comes as pagination links
http://www.mycarhelpline.com/index.php?option=com_offers&view=list&Itemid=9
- News & Reviews
the list is also sorted with latest news coming first and creating pages for old news
http://www.mycarhelpline.com/index.php?option=com_latestnews&view=list&Itemid=10
pl suggest should we create separate meta tags for all pages

Hi Gagan,
I generally view pagination being used when you have a large number of products that match a category, tag, or other identifying attribute. I'm not sure what others have done, but an approach I would use if I do want the category page indexed is as follows:
- Make the first page your category landing page "index, follow" (e.g. results 1-10)
- Make all secondary pages "noindex, follow" (e.g. items 11-20; 21-30; etc...)
This will cause your primary category landing page (the first 10 results) to be indexed with your desired page title and description. Because it is a landing page for this "category", I would also include a summary about the category and other useful information for users.
Your other pagination pages will continue to have the same title and description, but they will not be indexed. This will eliminate the duplicate content issue.
Hopefully others will sound off with what has worked for them too.
Hope this helps!

The question is unclear. What is a "pagination page?" Is this different from a page?
It's certainly best practice for all pages to have unique title tags to avoid duplicate content issues.
Unique descriptions for each page are also desirable, as they can increase click through rates, even though they are not read by search engines. Think of descriptions as promotional copy.
If you have the same page title and page description on each and very page of your site, you have a big problem that needs to be fixed.

Still Need to Write Title & Description Tag?
My SEO has advised me that Google has stopped using title and description tags for search results and as such, it is no longer necessary to write specific title and description tags. I see that Yoast seems to pull text to create these tags and sometimes it looks like it reflects the best elements of the content, sometimes it does not. Should I be asking our SEO team to write dedicated title and description tags or is it best practices to leave it to the Yoast plugin? My SEO is of the opinion that writing these tags is not a productive use of time as Google will serve results based on the user inquiry rather than the content on his tags. It sounds logical but it would be reassuring to receive further confirmation of this. Thoughts?"

Should we use a separate domain for franchise recruitment?
I represent a franchisor and we have two marketing campaigns: attracting customers to purchase our service; and attracting potential franchisees to purchase our business. We're torn between simply putting franchise-related content on our existing consumer website, or building a completely separate website for franchise recruitment. Building a completely separate site would involve a separate SEO strategy to build domain authority and backlinks... so we're thinking the better strategy would be to simply piggyback off of our already existing consumer website. Any advice?

Using cononical tag instead of 301
I've got a bit of an odd situation... My business partner and I split up, and he's going to keep the company name. The website that I built for the company has some links to it, and I've managed to build up some DA and PA. I want to get the link juice over to my new website. My former partner doesn't care about the link juice, he just wants a website that he can show people. SO, I can't do a 301 or 302, because that would take down the existing site. Can I just use a canonical tag that refers link power to my new website? Would this be harmful in any way? What should I do to accomplish getting the link power without a redirect, and without contacting each person who has given us a backlink?

Dealing with Canonical tag in volusion
Hi We have an ecommerce site where we have some returns/scratch /dented products identical to the original one. The onpage content of the damaged/original is pretty much identical with the damaged just having a describing the damage. I had wanted to make a canonical tag on the damaged product to the original so it would not be a problem of duplicate content but as it is a volusion site we dont have that option - it only canonicalizes back to itself! Any ideas what else I can do - cant really change the content much and I dont really want to deindex it so people find it? Thanks!

Duplicate keyphrases in page titles = penalty?
Hello Mozzers - just looking at a website which has duplicate keyphrases in its page titles... So you have [keyphrase 1] | [exact match Keyphrase 1] Now I happen to know this particular site has suffered a dramatic fall in traffic - the SEO agency working on the site had advised the client to duplicate keyphrases. Hard to believe, huh! What I'm wondering is whether this extensive exact match keyphrase duplication might've been enough to attract a penalty? Your thoughts would be welcome.
