How to promote my guest blog posts?
-
I have been using mybloguest.com and the articles were published by its blogs/websites.
So far the traffics/share/likes from those blog posts they published are very few/small.
I believe the blog post are very useful and unique. How can I promote them so that I get more social likes/share? Any idea?
Thanks
Stephen

I will try the approaches you guys mentioned. But I've got another question as I want to measure how successful my effort:
when deciding the value of the links from the article Does google take into account how many times the article is read? Because some people do not bother taking further actions (like/share/clicks) even they like it.
I can't track this article views through analytics obviousely.
On the other hand let say the article create valuable info to the readers (many people read it) but no likes/shares/bookmarks would this still become a successful article/link marketing?

Thanks for your response and it's inspiring. Looks like it's not straight forward but I will try it

The answers you've been given are completely right and offer the right advice for your future guest posting.
However, in terms of your current situation and the blog posts you have already acquired. There are a few things you can do to promote those in order to gain more shares/likes/+1s.
First, you should make use of the advertising options with both Twitter and Facebook. You will find that paying for a promoted post/tweet could gain more exposure and certainly more targeted exposure than just posting to your own followers.
Also, you will need to think about the time of day/week you are promoting the posts on social media. For example, on Twitter, your followers may well be more active on the weekend after dinner time. If you are promoting your posts on a Monday morning, it may be unlikely to reach a captive audience.
You could also use blog comments from related blog posts to direct readers to your article. Obviously I'm not talking about spamming blogs with links to the post, but more trying to encourage readers of more established blogs to perhaps check out your article that may be of interest.
Hope this helps,
Adam.

Here are a few suggestions:
-
Be picky and find the higher quality blogs on MBG.
-
Get on Google and find the high quality blogs in your niche. Contact them and negotiate getting them to publish your guest posts.
-
Get in Google and do searches for things like "guest post [keyword]" to find good sites that accept guest blogs.
-
-
You might look into getting your content published on a higher quality and higher trafficked site than most of those found on MBG. Find the authority blogs in the niche and try some manual outreach.

Will links from startup/tech blogs help a site rank for *money* keywords?
If a startup has a tech blog (say, domain.com/tech) and a startup journey blog (on domain.com/journey — think groovehq.com/blog), will garnering high PA/DA links to those pages help the root domain rank for keywords related to the startup's services? For example, continuing the Groove example, will quality links to their aforementioned startup blog help them rank the homepage for Online Help Desk Software? Even when those links are from non-helpdesk content on non-helpdesk sites? My theory is that links from high DA sites won't be a bad thing — as long as they're not from spammy pages and done naturally. In some niches, where it's hard to get organic product-related links, this might be a worthwhile strategy. Am I right? Or sadly misguided...? 🙂 EDIT: BTW. The niche I have in mind is fairly uncompetitive, and it'd be easier to garner links from the startup/tech community than the niche community itself.

Guest Blogging - Spread about or stick to a few?
I’ve decided to do guest blogs. I have written 10 tutorial articles, most are 500 - 600 words and none less than 300 words, there’s no fluff or padding, and I have ideas for 7 more. Is it best to spread your work across various sites and blogs? (assuming they are all good / high PR etc.) or could this make me come across as bit of a content whore? If one place likes my work and asks for more, are there any more benefits to me other than just ones internal to their site (that being increased exposure on their site) I’m also thinking about including my guest post tutorials on my own website as downloadable PDF’s with short descriptions so that the content remains original where my guest posts are. I also want to make video versions of the tutorials to put on youtube and embed within the guest posts too, but also my own website. Is all that a sound idea SEO wise? On other question if that’s OK. I have seen the following in google’s guidelines… “The following are examples of link schemes which can negatively impact a site's ranking in search results: sending someone a “free” product in exchange for them writing about it and including a link.” http://support.google.com/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=66356 That’s a bit of grey area for me knowing that normally a professional book reviewer receives a free review copy, in this case perhaps a blogger receives a free review copy. This has never been seen as suspicious so long as interests are declared. Do you think those google guidelines include this kind of activity? Regards,

Domain authority through blogs
So, I was looking at my competiton, and noticed that they have 4 times the amount of link that my page has. I noticed that they made a blog on almost every free blog hosting available (like webs.com, jimdo.com, .weebly.com...) And every blog has a high domain authority (and poor content) with links to their page. Is this helping with their domain authority? Should i do if for my page too? Thank, M.

Anchor text diversity - post penguin.
Hi, It seems that achor text diversity is hugely important post penguin but what's the best strategy? What kind of anchor text should I be going for? As I understand it more that 60% of links with the keywords in trigger a google flag. For example are the following good examples for the term 'wedding singer'? local wedding singer, best wedding singer, wedding singer website, hire wedding singer. Would these cause triggers in google as all contain the keyword 'wedding singer'? Or should I be going for: click here, visit us, listen now, view a profile Obviously these words don't contain the anchor text 'wedding singer' but with a few exact match #wedding singer' anchor texts and good on page SEO will this mix give better results?

Guest Blogging Questions
Hi a few questions, 1. Is a anchor link in the body better then in the byline? 2. If 2 links are in the body will Google only count the first link? 3. Do you need a unique byline for each guest post, will having duplicate bylines not work as well as unique? Cheers

Manual Blog Submission Services - Any Recommendations ?
Hi, I was wondering if anyone could recommend a high quality blog directory submission service ? I know that the best method is to do this yourself - but the time required to do so is enourmous, so although I may manually submit to a few of the very best directories myself, I'm looking for a good quality manual service to do the rest. I'm willing to pay a decent amount to a quality submission service as I want it done as near as possible to doing it myself. Thanks for your thoughts.

Guest blogging tips needed!
Hi, I'm about to start guest blogging for the first time, I have a particular keyword I want to push up, it currently sits page 2, position 1 and I would like to push this up into the top 5 results. The 5 results I need to jump past also happen to be my main competitors, but I don't think they are activity link building for this keyword as url's are not SEO friendly (containing query strings), meta descriptions don't have the keyword word exact. So the solutions is link building with anchor text links from relevant, auth websites. The method I want to use to achieve this is guest blogging but as I am just starting out on the guest blogging front does anyone have any tips on how to find good blogs which will help? I found a website called myblogguest.com but the blogs on there dont seem that great, I have been doing a few queries in Google to try and find them instead such as; "write for us" keyword then researching the blogs with the SEOMOZ tools. Cheers
