Facebook corporate child pages
-
Any word on if this ever launched
http://www.insidefacebook.com/2011/07/11/parent-child-corporate-local-locations-pages-places/
and if so how do I enable?
-
Yea, I am not seeing a way to do this for my clients so I guess it is not available here.
Thanks for the link though
-
Apparently yes and it's supposedly not widely available (they probably want to find a way to make money off of it).
This deck is a bit out of date (pre-timeline) but there's some info on it. http://www.slideshare.net/steph_king/facebook-parent-child-model

Facebook Likes, Google +1s tactic - is this a good idea
Hello, For our eCommerce site, we're considering doing the following: When people call in to place an order by phone, we take their order and tell them while we have them on the phone that if they click the Facebook Like button and Google +1 button on our site's home page, we'll knock $3 off their total. We would just show them where the buttons are and refresh our screen to make sure the count went up by one like and one +1 when the customer said that they pressed the buttons. Then, we would continue with their phone order and just knock off $3.00 I may not do this just because it may be grey hat, but it seems 100% safe forever. If you recommend against doing this, can you think of any 100% white hat way to do the same thing? Thanks.

Authorship on wrong page
I recently installed my authorship tag for my website blog, however i have notice it appears on the homepage of the site, instead of the blog. Any ideas how to fix it? Its on a wordpress site and the G+ definitely points to the blog link

Facebook "like" discrepancy
This is a pretty stupid question sorry, but hopefully it is easy to resolve: Both OSE and Woorank list our site as having 17 Facebook likes. The Facebook icon on the page shows 92 likes. Our Facebook Page shows 560 likes. Where is the 17 number coming from?? our page is: http://www.GoldMaxUSA.com/ Thanks, Jason

Are Facebook posts indexed?
Can using keywords and target phrases in posts on my Facebook fanpage help my SEO strategy, or does Google not crawl those pages so it doesn't matter in terms of SEO? If it can help, can you please provide an example? Thanks!

Why has SEOmoz added G+ code to multiple pages?
Hi, If you look at SEOmoz's Blog pages, you'll see they have added the G+ rel="publisher" code. On http://support.google.com/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=1708844 Google says: "A rel="publisher" link from the main page of your website to your Google+ page." Is there any benefit to putting this code into the sites template (adding it to every page of the site) when it could be added to just the homepage? Not a criticism, just curious to know how I should implement the code on my own site (concerned that adding it to the site template is a kind-of link out on every page of my site) Cheers FashionLux

Is there any SEO benefit to hosting your Facebook photos on your own site?
I will often post photos that I have taken to my Facebook page (either personal or my fan page). Sometimes these can get lots of likes. I got thinking that perhaps I host these photos on my site (i.e. www.example.com/images/photo1.jpg) and then share that "page" on Facebook. That way any of the likes would be counted towards my site. What do you guys think?
