Recommended/Convenient Social Share Plug-In for Agencies w/Multiple Accounts!
-
Hi! What is a recommended social media share plug-in (SEO-friendly) to implement across multiple websites (desktop & mobile) for an agency? Also, does the suggested social share plug-in provide a dashboard to review multiple accounts via one location?
-
I'm glad...
Well, sort of anyway. The reason I started digging around more was that I was thinking that would be a great product to put together if no-one was doing it. Happy you have the solution you were looking for, but slightly disappointed that you didn't lead me to a great business opportunity!

Yes!!!! Thank you!

Hi again,
Actually, it seems that you can now do this in addthis using profiles. http://support.addthis.com/customer/portal/articles/381216-using-profiles#.UIpencXA83Q & sharethis allow a similar set-up through domain access http://blog.sharethis.com/2012/03/01/sharethis-adds-domain-access-manager-for-analytics-sharing/
Bit of a slow reply, but your post came back to mind when I was having similar thoughts.
Either of those any use to you?

Thanks!

We currently use multiple add-this accounts and use the information from their reporting emails, rather than checking-in that much. I wouldn't call it optimal, but it does for our purposes when combined with analytics.
However I am not a massive fan of some aspects of addthis. I can also see that 1 account per site is going to get more and more annoying as time goes on. I can definitely see me looking for this same solution before too long.

Agreed!! The problem we'd like to solve is being able to manage multiple accounts from one location rather than setting up multiple add-this accounts and checking in separately. Would you recommend setting up these accounts individually and measuring through social tracking via Google Analytics (that's what we're currently using for tracking)? Would that be optimal?
-
Do you mean like an addthis type of thing, but more agency friendly? If so I can't think of a good one, but I'd quite like to find one myself!

Hootsuite is awesome....and SEOMoz Pro members can get a discount I think.

Does Facebook Messages count as a social signal factor?
Hi, We know that social signals are usually referred to as a webpage's collective likes, comments or shares. But what about the Facebook messages generated from the messenger plugin on a web page? Especially on a business page, if one business page receives hundreds of Facebook messages through a landing page or blog page, does that count as social shares? And how effective is social signals are for a website in 2020? Although social engagement is always good for any website, my question is, how logical is it to purchase "social signal gigs" from konker or Fiverr or other gig markets? We run a social media marketing company in Australia, our website: https://www.playchat.com.au and we get a lot of messages every day through the messenger add on from our home page. Will that make any difference whatsoever? Looking forward to hearing from you. I appreciate any help you can provide.

Google Indexed Images: Website Vs Social Media
I use Pinterest, Twitter and Instagram to post images that are already featured on my website. I have been following a routine of uploading the images to these social media platforms only after I can see Google has indexed the image from my original site. My website is ecommerce and the product images drive sales more than any other factor. The thinking behind my method was that when these images are posted on Pinterest, Twitter and the various Instagram crawler sites (I realise Instagram images aren’t indexed directly), Google would recognise that the image was already attributed to my website. The ‘duplicate’ image would not therefore be indexed and the originally uploaded website image would remain in ‘Google Images’. After completing various searches and reviewing other Q&A’s on Moz, it seems as though this is in no way guaranteed and images reposted on social media platforms may still replace the already indexed image from the website. I am assuming this is because Google views these platforms as more authoritative than mine. I usually change the image by adding logos, text, backgrounds, borders etc before posting on Pinterest and this seems to have worked most of the time (both the original and ‘amended for Pinterest’ versions are often indexed) but images posted on other platforms are usually identical. Does it make sense to continue with my method or am I shooting myself in the foot by reposting these images on social media at all? I obviously want customers searching for products, who then click on an image, to be directed to my site rather than one of my social media pages or worse, an image reposting site. Additionally, If I post images on social media before they are uploaded to my website (for example to tease a product launch), would Google likely class these images as the ‘original’ and therefore be less likely to index the website version of the image once it is uploaded? Any thoughts are appreciated.

How to rip benefits of Facebook Group likes and shares?
Hi guys. So, here is the question/task I'm battling for several days: As you know, you can't share as a company page in facebook groups. However, you can on other pages. If I share on other page, and people like my post, I can invite those people to like my page, no problem there. However, if I want to share a post in FB group, I can only share as myself, and whenever people like that post, they like a post of me as a person, therefore I can't invite them to like my page, unless I add them as a friend (which is not the best scenario really). The same question goes towards when someone shares a post. So, what is the best way to get some benefits from people I can't invite to like a page directly? Thanks!

Best Facebook content to share?
What is the best kinds of things to share on Facebook pages? I read conflicting results on the matter. In my experience memes and funny pictures get the best results. Next is creative art or user generated things. Videos and links to my site, even when they are funny or high quality pieces, get almost no interaction. Videos will basically get ignored and sent out to very few people.

I am struggling to explain in simple terms how a knowledge of SEO underpins a good Social Media campaign. Does anyone know of any good resources I can work through to communicate this issue effectively?

FB Sharing Contest Tracking Question?
We are going to give-a-way a PS4 through a social media contest. Likes, g+ circles and shares, but I wasn't sure if there was a problem tracking shares. I always thought I could just look at my FB posts and it would say how many shares. All I want to do is people to give someone an extra entry for sharing one of my post on his or her FB page. However, I've read that tracking shares can be difficult. I think the shares that are difficult to track are the ones beyond what I need, like if a 3rd party shared it or something, but I'm not sure. I want the contest to be as accurate as possible. Can anybody confirm or correct my thinking, please? Happy Thanksgiving Eve! Ruben
