Hi guys! For now we don't have any plans to change our ranking tools because this information is valuable to our customers. Plus it really is public information that is relevant to their business and they should have the right to access that. We are however looking at various alternatives and will be actively engaging with PRO members and the general community for a long-term solution. Be sure to watch the blog for more info!
Thanks,
Jen

They already lost their Google API. I actually looked today to get an update, but couldn't find anything. My guess is that they'll just not offer the search volume in their tools, and things will move on. The only real place you'll see that is in the keyword difficulty tool.

Regional sites built on different platforms - will this solution for international targeting work?
We are working with our dev team on a few upcoming user stories to improve store.hp.com. We came across a question which isn’t clear in the international targeting documentation. Within http://store.hp.com, we have a number of regional stores, but those are often built on separate platforms. Therefore a story developed on the US infrastructure doesn’t carry over to Canada and so forth. The Canada Store is managed by a different team, so that story needs to get scoped, prioritized, etc. independently. In regards to helping Google understand page equivalence, will Google accept the page relationship if we include hreflang tags exclusively in the sitemap for the US site and exclusively as page-level markup for Canada site? For example: http://store.hp.com/CanadaStore (hreflang notation at page-level): http://store.hp.com/us/en" /> http://store.hp.com/CanadaStore" /> http://store.hp.com/us/en" /> http://store.hp.com/us/en (hreflang notation within sitemap file): <loc>http://store.hp.com/us/en</loc> rel="alternate" hreflang="en-ca" href=" http://store.hp.com/CanadaStore" /> rel="alternate" hreflang="en-us" href="http://store.hp.com/us/en" /> Appreciate the help anyone can give! If I switch my domain name, will I keep link juice from redirect?
I am moving one of my sites wellington-florida-homes.com to a new domain (wellingtonfloridahomes.com). Most of our link-juice is coming from another domain we purchased (theshockleyteam.com) that is redirected to our primary site. If I simply redirect theshockleyteam.com to our new domain (wellingtonfloridahomes.com) I will still have the link juice passing through, right? Thanks!

On-Page SEO of the SEOmoz Blog Section
Hey Everyone My brain isn't working (only had 1 cup of coffee so far - #2 on it's way) this morning and I could use some help. We're creating a blog on a site for a client of ours and I've been looking at the SEOmoz blog for best practices when it comes to the implementation of pagination, canonical tags and noindex. My questions: There is no use of the canonical tag on the main blog page or any of the paginated pages but it is being used on blog post pages. Why not use it on the main blog pages as well? I'm assuming because the blog pages are always changing with different content there is not much point? Paginated pages in the category sections i.e. http://www.seomoz.org/blog/category/1?page=2 are noindexed but paginated pages in the main blog section i.e. http://www.seomoz.org/blog?page=2 are not. Is this because of a duplicate content concern since the posts in the category sections are in the main blog section as well? If that's the case, why wouldn't the main category page i.e.http://www.seomoz.org/blog/category/1 be noindexed as well? What's the reason for noindexing the "Show # Posts" pages i.e.http://www.seomoz.org/blog?show=5 ? I'm assuming another concern of duplicate content? Any insights into these questions would be greatly appreciated and would help with the implementation of our clients blog. Thanks, Ken

How do I deal with my pages being seen as duplicate content by SeoMoz?
My Dashboard is giving my lots of warnings for duplicate content but it all seems to have something to do with the www and the slash / For example: http://www.ebow.ie/ is seen as having the same duplicate content as http:/ebow.ie/ and http://www.ebow.ie Alos lots to do with how Wordpress categorizes pages and tags that is driving me bonkers! Any help appreciated! Dave. seomoz.png

Will moving a well established Blog to a different URL (on the same domain) affect the SERPs?
Hi SEOmoz experts, We will shortly be launching a new product range (B-Events) on our Events website and I was wondering if moving our current A-Events specific blog will impact the SERPs at all? Quite a few of our blog posts rank well for longtail A-Events terms, so we're a little reluctant to move it. But for the long term it makes more sense than creating & maintaining 2 separate blogs. Current Blog URL: domain.com/a-events/blog New Blog URL: domain.com/news New A-Events Category: domain.com/news/a-events New B-Events Category: domain.com/news/b-events I intend to 301 redirect all of the old URLs (200+) to their new blog category equivalent, will this be enough to keep their positions in the SERPs? Can you recommend / think of anything else, that we might not have considered. Any help would be much appreciated!

Clarification from old seomoz post
I would need clarification from an old seomoz post - http://www.seomoz.org/q/rankings-changing-based-on-location-within-a-country-normal Particulary the following part - If you type in "Clear browser cache", Google KNOWS what browser you are using and can add the "Firefox" term in on your behalf, without it being apparent to the user What does it mean ? Thanks
