What's your opinion on Rankpay service?
-
Any experience with RankPay? Is it worth?
Thanks

Hello All,
I was just about to hit pay now button but after reading this conversation and suggestion ( Brian Dean ). started rethinking.
Thanks For the helpful discussion.

I'm all about performance.
That being said, I don't own or work for Google.
Anyone that claims to make guarantees is usually an SEO you want to avoid...especially when it comes to promising a rank for a specific keyword.
Like some other people said, they may be the cat's meow. But if you don't see what links they're building for you, your site may get nailed the next time Google busts out another update (which may be very soon).

Hi Matt and Shane, thanks for your replies. Indeed there is something fishy. I have been using their service, defined some keywords and they seem to rank me up. I mean they charge if you get a rank between 1 to 10. The fee depends on your ranking for those keywords.
But when I ask them to show me what is the work they are doing. They just say the following:
_"Thank you for your email. We provide the summary status report under the recent activities area, however we don't provide the specifics given our Performance-based Business Model. We originally launched by providing customers with every tactic within their custom program, and then we unfortunately had customers exit the service and simply utilize the plan that we spent time developing. _
We evolved our model a few years ago to strictly performance-based pricing based on our responsibility to deliver results, and we understand this approach will not be for every customer, however we'd love to demonstrate our effectiveness for you, and appreciate the opportunity."
I did some research and found very weird posts mentioning our website in Google+, forums, twitter, etc. They were just a few, but the problem is that they mention our web with a bunch of non-related and spammy texts. Maybe that is the work they do.
I think, will move out of this type of services. They may make a difference on your ranking but at the end the website gets a bad image with strange social postings.
Thanks again for your help and comments!

It's not difficult to rank extremely for long-tails. Factor in you just need to rank in the top ten to earn a first page ranking and it get's easier.
Look at their current first page rankings:
"dog care software"
"pilates in jakarta"If it's to good to be true (and cheap) it's usually not worth it (DISCLAIMER- I have never used their service and they could be good).
-
Exactly. Sounds ominous.
Also, it seems like their main method might be blog posts... Great, IF done correctly. Looking at the pricing, I doubt it will be done correctly or will be poorly written.

"_RankPay uses proven SEO practices to achieve rankings and abides by industry standards, including: credible link building, relevant blog postings, trusted social bookmarking, and select directory submissions in order to build a consistent, customized SEO program for each and every customer. _
Our SEO Team has partnerships with hundreds of publishers, blogs, and directory sites. Nearly all RankPay SEO activities result in permanent exposure, even if the program is no longer in Active status. We work with our partners to identify relevant context for opportunities to further strengthen our customer's SEO programs."
So basically they use white hat, and on page to rank for terms they know they can rank for, they most probably do not take on all clients, only small to medium businesses that can see easy results in an easy market, by white hat.
The issue I see in this, is there is no longterm business growth strategy, only the putting of all eggs in the Google Keyword basket, in the hopes that these terms will make money.
I am with Matt, cannot give a opinion on whether to use it or not, but it really depends on is all you are trying to do is get keywords? Then it might work for you.....

I'll admit to not being too familiar with their service but after looking on their website I still can't tell what methods they use to "gett you to rank 1" (in their own words).
Smells fishy to me instantly.

Help! Someone's inserted my link in the footer of another site!
There's a site in my industry where (I'm guessing on flawed SEO advice) all of their pages contain footer links to rival sites – with each page containing a different set of links. One page has a link to my site, which I've just found out from GWT as the link now produces a 404.

Should I
a) ignore it?
b) ask them to replace it with a live link from my site (their site's highly relevant to mine)? or
c) ask them to remove it altogether as no-one wants footer links?0 -
Can't remove and can't disavow...
Wondering if anyone could help me. A client is suffering a Google penalty at the moment which is harming their performance. That said it is properly the best penalty they could have got..the site has a penalty which is stopping them ranking as high on keywords which they have been spamming links for. I say the best penalty they could have got because, other than these keywords, the site is still performing as well as before in the engines. Have been trying to clear up the backlinks for the past couple of months and just when I think im winning I discover some 32,000 blog comments on one domain 6 weeks or so ago!! - [http://www. iimpact.co.uk/blog/about?ss=%25&replytoc&rep&d=http://8;d=http://166",.moveForm("comment-1628", "1628", addComment.m&replytocom=265](http://www.iimpact.co.uk/blog/about?ss=%25&replytoc&rep&d=http://8;d=http://166",.moveForm("comment-1628", "1628", addComment.m&replytocom=265) example url, I broke it on purpose as to not make it a backlink With that many links i will not even try and contact the site, I put in the disavow in google that there is no way I can get these removed and explained it etc, however, they, again, rejected the reconsideration request saying they are still not happy with the links. At a bit of a loss here. It's starting to look that the best approach will be to write off the half a dozen terms and go a little more long tail. The site will not rank for (this is an example as would not want to give the client away) door knockers. They used to be first page but now are page four. However they remain page one for terms such as brass door knockers, cheap door knockers, chrome door knockers etc. In WMT ranking report they have hits from 1200 words ranking in the top 5 in the past 30 days and 3000 in the top ten. Im a considering trying to up the rankings of these words at the expense of the ones which we cannot seem to get the penalty off. Any thoughts please.

01 November 2013 - A possible Google's update??
Hello Guys! On 01 November 2013, one of our website's traffic has been dropped by more than 70%. We had added plenty of domains to the disavow tool, I am just wondering if its a Google's update or the disavow tool has destroyed the site? Any ideas? 9p3sN3p.jpg

What's a reasonable time to start ranking for a niche site?
I launched a niche site to go through the whole process, for fun and profit. Started with keyword research (3-6 word long tail keywords), have done first 3 posts and done minimal amount of link building. Have gotten about a dozen visitors in the first 5 weeks and ranking on page 2. Is this ok or should I be more aggressive with link building (assuming my keyword research is done ok)?

How would one get on the Huff Po's "Around the Web" list?
On the huffington post they often have lists of links related to the article, near the bottom just before the comments. This section, when present, is called "Around the Web". See this as an example: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/linda-bacon-phd-ma-ma/health-at-every-size_b_1314339.html Do the article authors choose these links, or are they auto-generated somehow? I had a relatively small competitor appear here, so I'm wondering if there are any tricks to gett included. Thanks! Edited to add hyperlink

Manual Blog Submission Services - Any Recommendations ?
Hi, I was wondering if anyone could recommend a high quality blog directory submission service ? I know that the best method is to do this yourself - but the time required to do so is enourmous, so although I may manually submit to a few of the very best directories myself, I'm looking for a good quality manual service to do the rest. I'm willing to pay a decent amount to a quality submission service as I want it done as near as possible to doing it myself. Thanks for your thoughts.
