Is the search volume insight in Bing more accurate as it is in Google?
-
Does anybody know if Search volume insight in Bing is more accurate than it is in Google?
Moz is showing Search Volume insight in Bing now (not sure about the reason, probably Moz has no access to Google? Or is it because it is more accurate?)
For some words I have my doubts about the Google Keyword Tool. I don't know about Bing.
For the first time I compare two words on Bing with Google I found out the ratio in Bing is very different compared with Google.Example:
When you check out the words: espressomachine and koffiemachine
**Google, local search in the Netherlands: **
espressomachine: 6600
koffiemachine: 8100
Bing, local search in the Netherlands:
espressomachine: 549
koffiemachine: 361So..., are Bing users typical kind of users who uses other search phrases?
Or... is one of these two more accurate?Does anybody know?

Both Google + Bing should be fairly accurate coming directly from the actual companies data.

So..., are Bing users typical kind of users who uses other search phrases? Could very well be true.

The fact that there in this case and for most people as well about 10x more search volume is definitely part of the issue.
Hope this helps

Hi there,
It would not be good to compare the search volume figures of Google and Bing. Looking at the difference in the market share of these two search engines, the search volumes will definitely vary by a large scale. Coming to the accuracy, my experience has been good with both Bing and Google. The search volume numbers that they churn out are based on the queries that they each get respectively and obviously, Google will have a higher number because of its market share. Hope it helps.
Best,
Devanur Rafi.

Getting indexed in Google Scholar
Hi all! We have a client who publishes scholarly research as a highly regarded non-profit. Their Publications aren't being indexed in Google Scholar 50% of the time and when they are, Google is pulling random stuff from a PDF vs. from the html page. Any advice on best practices is enormously appreciated

Getting indexed by Google scholar
Often my Google Scholar alerts result in exactly what I think they will: scholarly articles published in academic journals. However, today I got this completely non-scholarly article https://www.t-nation.com/training/the-exact-reps-that-make-you-grow and I have no idea why Google Scholar is indexing this site. I've read up on how to get indexed by Google Scholar, and this website doesn't seem to have the necessary requirements. I'm curious for anyone whose clients or industry need to get indexed by Google Scholar, what has worked for you?

Sitelink (meta) descriptions in Google SERP
Hi, I am probably not the only one having this question regarding the quality of sitelinks in organic results. When your search returns sitelinks, I know the only thing you can do to avoid certain sitelinks to appear is to demote it for that search result. But what can you do about the description. For the main result you are pretty much able to create an appealing description, but when the sitelinks appear, all sitelinks display these crappy 'composed' descriptions. I've read Google did some tests a couple of years ago with multiple descriptions and multiple titles, but this doesn't cover the issue I just described. Is there a way to create 'sitelink descriptions'? Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

We use SLI for our searches and are thinking of just going back to the searches on our platfrom Bigcommerce
Does anyone have any experience with the advantages of using a search product like SLI in comparison to the search available on Bigcommerce. We currently use SLI for the searches on our site but think over the years we have been using SLI that the searches on Bigcommerce have improved and we are thinking of switching back to using the Bigcommerce search. Is Google Knowledge Graph in Other Countries?
Hello, I have a website that receives international traffic from all over the world. A lot of our keywords that we go after unfortunately show up on google knowledge graph. I'm curious to know if KG is showing up in the google search engines for other countries for the keywords that my site goes after. Is there anyway to actually perform a test to see? Thanks!

Will google believe my website has plagiarised if I publish news that is published on a newswire?
I use newswires to publish press releases or articles for clients. Almost all are published on one site such as PRWeb and picked up by newspapers/publishers. Each of these pieces reference the source as PRWeb (for example). Each press release is then added to the company website. Do I run the risk of search engines believing this to be plagiarised if not referenced to the 'original source' being PR Web? Thanks
