Should a crawl ever take more than 7 days?
-
I signed up to the 30 day trial last Saturday, however, as of yet, the crawl diagnostics page still says 'First crawl in progress'.
Is this normal? Many thanks.

I think SEOmoz have disable the intial fast crawl and only the full crawl is available. I think it says the initial crawl can take 4 - 7 days (altho it has not taken this long in my experience)
Email [email protected] with your account details and ask them to look for you, they are really good at getting back

Crawl Report shows Internal links as zero
We have recently updated our website (https://www.payumoney.com/) and created new pages like "https://www.payumoney.com/free-payment-gateway-India.html". we have internally linked all the pages, but when I check the crawl report from MOZ it shows internal links as 0 and these pages have the PA of 1 and not increasing. I am unable to find out the reason why is it happening?

A Bazaar 10 Days In WMT & Moz
Hey All, Just wondering if anyone else has experienced anything like this or has any idea what happen to one of my sites last week. I have a lot of question and unanswered weirdness that seems to be occurring in the data. It kind of plays out like this. Noticeable drop off in organic SE traffic WMT kicks out 70% of my structured schema data Moz drops DA to 14 from 17 Moz MR drops from 3.50 to 2.74 Total Indexed pages (as per SEOQuake tool bar) Drops from 500 to 224 All the images submitted via a sitemap have been unindexed according to WMT. This only a 3 month old web site with a minimal back linking profile, we're talking less than 100. No one has been working on the site, the only thing that has happen in the last month is blog post being posted. All unique content and well formatted. Then at the beginning of this week I saw traffic increasing again, and this was confirmed when WMT updated and I got my Moz update. All schema data back in WMT, with no acknowledgement of the drop; the graph just continues in a steady rise as tho nothing happened. Traffic back up to normal levels, as tho nothing happened. I have noticed a 100% increase in the amount of pages being blocked by robots.txt, I haven't changed it, nor has anyone else, it has been the same since the site was launched. I'm hoping that Moz will put the DA and MR back to where they were, and no damage will be done.\ But my question is, What the hell happened? It nearly wiped the site of the face off the earth for 10 days, how do I find out what did it, why and stop it from happening again? I have noticed the number of pages indexed by google, as quoted by SEOquake tool bar not WMT regularly jumps from anywhere from 200 to 500, Any ideas? I know their are many different elements at play here, where do I start, I can't sit back and hop it never happens again. Thank you to anyone that wants to roll their sleeves up and have ago at this one. Best, IAn

Will a on-page food/drink menu take away from my target keywords?
I am trying to rank for Chicago corporate events, so I am writing new content for a landing page. I have a description of our venue and why one should have a corporate event there, all content that is very rich in corporate event keywords. I then go on to say our drink packages and food packages. Overall, my actual keyword targeted content is 1/5 of the content and the other 4/5 is menu. At first I thought the more content the better, but now that I realize a lot fo the content is just saying different foods and alcohols I'm questioning my strategy. I'm going to do my metas and h1s and stuff with corporate event keywords. But is the menu going to get in the way of ranking for the corporate event keywords? Thanks in advance 🙂

Why so many crawl errors?
Our site is showing it has a ton of crawl errors in the back end, mostly concerning duplicate content within our blog. The content is unique however. We know this for certain because it's done in house or put together by some of the freelance writers we work with. The site is for an RV dealership and we're using a template-based system from a well known company. Any ideas on what may be causing this?

How does a keyword get crawled and pointed at a certain page
I was wondering if you can give me some insight on how a keyword that I put on my campaign gets linked to a specific URL on my website by SEOMoz or Google. For example: updating a brick fireplace is my keyword. On the campaign when I am looking at my on page optimization, the URL assigned (or given) to it is my homepage. How is this determined and is there a way around it and or directing it to the correct page? Thanks

Has anyone ever attempted (successfully or not) to consciously reduce their amount of homepage links in order to improve their search engine rankings?
I work for a retail company that is highly segmented. We have a lot of categories to cover the types of merchandise we offer on our home page, and way more than the recommended # of links on our homepage because of it. Has anyone ever attempted (successfully or not) to consciously reduce their amount of links (and categories) in order to improve their search engine rankings? If so, can you walk through your process and your advice on whether or not reducing links on a site like mine is a good idea?

How long would it take for On-Page Optimization to have an effect on Google Rankings?
Hi there, I have a page on our website with an Interview with the author Tess Gerritsen. There has been a reasonable amount of Social Media buzz related to the page and lots of links. According to SEOMoz we are an A grade for the keyword Tess Gerritsen, we currently rank 29th on Google.co.uk for a 'tess gerritsen' search. My question is - how long would it take for any new changes to have an effect? I presume the answer would be whenever the page is crawled again. But is it wise to change one thing, then get crawled and see what the effect is, then the next day change something else and see what the effect is. Or is it wise to change one thing and then leave it a week or so to see the full effect of the change? Apologies for the vague question, if you need any more clarification just let me know. Thanks. Benj
