Seomoz crawl: 4XX (Client Error) How to find were the error are?
-
I got eight 404 errors with the Seomoz crawl, but the report does not says where the 404 page is linked from (like it does for dup content), or I'm I missing something?
Thanks

It would be great to show this in the web interface

If you download the CSV, there will be a column in there showing you the referring URL. We're working on making the language a bit more clear.
-
Try plugging the URL into Open Site Explorer. There's a good chance that if Mozbot crawled it and found the 404 that it would also list the inbound links for it in OSE.

I do not know the answer, but would like to know too!

Increase in authorization permission errors (Access Denied - Error 403)
Hi MOZ community, Since last week when I changed my theme in a WP installation I noticed (in WMT and MOZ tool) that I have increased number in authorization permission errors (error 403-forbidden). What happens is that I received a 403 error for almost every single URL of my site. All these URLs are not "real" ones but they all have my email in the end. i.e. I get an 403 error for the "/contact/[email protected]" whilst the real URL is just "/contact/" This happens, as I said, for almost every single page of my site. I have no other crawling or indexation issues, all URLs are correctly indexed. All new pages are correctly indexed as well. URIs ending with "[email protected]" are not indexed off course. WP and all installed plugins & theme are on the latest available release. For SEO purposes I use Yoast SEO WP plugin. The site in questions is: fantasylogic.com Any suggestions would be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance

SeoMoz reporting 301 redirects I can't find
So I'm trying to find a bunch of redirects that SeoMoz is reporting that were created by Wordpress but I can't seem to find. I'm finding a bunch of redirects FROM pages like this: www.mysite.com/wp-content/themes/mimbo/page-name.com redirecting to www.mysite.com/page-name.com Anybody have any idea how I can track down the offending page that has a link to that url. I took a look at my templates and content with the pages and can't seem to find anything that would create it.

SEOmoz Toolbar - Am I the only one who figured this out?
I have been using the SEOmoz toolbar for a while. In the course of a day, and with so many projects going on I end up having about 15-20 tabs in Firefox open at once. Because of the toolbar, my browsing session slows to a crawl and I hate to disable the toolbar because then I have to shut down the 10 projects I am working on. I usually close down my browser when I can't take it anymore and it feels like I am browsing on my 1990's palm device. What I decided to do is install the toolbar on Google Chrome. I don't use this browser very often so now whenever I need to check out a website, I just use Chrome instead of Firefox. Maybe there is a way to turn off the toolbar that I don't know about. Any other toolbar tips?

SEOMOZ Competitive Domain Analysis
Hi, I am just trying to get to the bottom of why I am seeing such wildly different figures in the SEOMOZ link analysis. The SEO company that we use is saying that we have around 331 external links to our website, when I check on Yahoo site explorer, it returns 264 external links, but in my SEOMOZ campaign manager, it says I have 4 external links? I fully appreciate that none of these methods are going to be wholly accurate, and are going to produce different results, but I can't understand why the SEOMOZ results are so vastly different. I also know for a fact there are a number of Followed links that I have added to a couple of websites, that Google has now indexed (as they appear in search results), but don't appear in the campaign manager results. If SEOMOZ use a different method to assess an external link, then no problem - my main concern here is that as a Newbie I am doing something wrong within the SEOMOZ tools, and don't want to take action based on results that may be incorrect because I have set things up incorrectly? Any help is greatly appreciated. Many thanks, Gareth

4xx (not found) errors seem spurious, caused by a "\" added to the URL
Hi SEOmoz folks We're getting a lot of 404 (not found) errors in our weekly crawl. However the weird thing is that the URLs in question all have the same issue. They are all a valid URL with a backsalsh ("") added. In URL encoding, this is an extra %5C at the end of the URL. Even weirder, we do not have any such URLs in our (Wordpress-based) website. Any insight on how to get rid of this issue? Thanks
