Mozbar and Firefox: Feedback please!
-
Hey MozBar fans, we're thinking of focusing more on Chrome and moving away from Firefox. Our reasons:
- Maintaining two platforms increases development cost.
- Each new Firefox version released takes up to a month to be approved by the Mozilla store.
- There is not as much design flexibility in Firefox.
But we would love your feedback before we make our final decision on this. Would you still use the MozBar as frequently if it was only available in Chrome? Thanks!
-
Hi Mike- yes, this would definitely be included.
Thanks!
Jon

If i had specific investigations to carry out i would jump on Chrome and likely use it, as i do now with other tools, yes.
-
Important:
If you do this, please can you add the 'export to csv' feature to Chrome? Currently I don't see it there, so use Firefox for that
If I lost the ability to do the csv export of serps... I'd be upset! Still wouldn't moan too much as Moz has so much else that's great, but I would be upset none the less!
-
I use Chrome and always check moz bar on my searches. Sometimes on a second search on the same keywords on chrome when i add my web branded searches name moz bar does not appear.
But anyway great job.
-
Thanks for feedback! Do you think you would stop using the toolbar completely? Or would you use it in Chrome?
-
Firefox is my primary browser and would be a real shame to lose this functionality, find it very usefull for spotting things during normal browsing and work. Understand why you want to do this however but from my selfish point of view its a shame.
-
Use chrome so cant say I will miss the firefox one much, especially if more awesomeness added! (sorry guys!).
-
or visa versa...
-
I too use Firefox, so would be a shame to loose it, but can understand your reasoning. Maybe if the 100% was put into the Chrome version to make it even more awesome then it would be ok I suppose (if you must).
-
I use Firefox along with most of my colleagues and would much prefer it on Firefox, as mentioned it is nice to have options but I'd hate to see it go to Chrome only.
-
Use chrome regularly but I DO like having the option
-
Hi Kerri,
I use Firefox as my main browser, but I do have a handful of Chrome only toolbars and extensions that I will use if the need arose. Personally I prefer all my favorite tools on my main browser (especially the PA and DA on MozBar) but it's not the end of the world if I need to head over to Chrome for a session.
Thank goodness for multiple monitors!

My MoZbar is not working properly.
It keeps saying I need to log in, but I'm already logged in, does anyone know a solution? I already tried disabling and enabling, removing and downloading the bar, shutting down, and restarting chrome, and even restarting the computer.

New verison / update on MozBar. What are the changes from the changes (new additions) from the previous version?
MozBar has a new Version update: 3.1.189 in Google Chrome Web Store (updated on Jan 20, 2016). Has anyone observed any big changes / additions? Or, is it just a routine version update?

My site is hosted in Reston, VA yet the MozBar shows the Canadian flag next to the URL. Does anyone know why this is happening? Screen-Shot-2016-06-16-at-9.29.07-AM.png

Mozbar - SERP Control Panel - Export to CSV - Update
Hi I asked a question on 22nd Sep about Mozbar: "I have been exporting SERP results using the Mozbar, but I don't get PA and DA data even though this is shown in the SERP overlay. The data is shown in excel as being 'undefined'. Anyone else having this problem?" I was told that this was a known issue and a fix would be available within 2 weeks. Is there any update on when this update is likely? Thanks again for your assistance. Neil

"Sorry! We weren't able to find that page when we crawled your site." Please help!
Can someone please explain whey I am getting this error for this link "http://lensoutloud.com/san-antonio-real-estate-photography/" when I attempt to perform an on page SEO grading? The link is indexed and ranking very well but for some reason Moz says it can't find the page when it crawled my site. This has also happened when I attempt to grade other pages on my site. Thanks in advance!

Moz.com Report a Problem or Provide Feedback
Two things. First, I could not find exactly where to report an issue or provide feedback about the website. I don't need to contact about Moz Analytics or any other products. I just want to provide feedback about the Moz Blog. I think it would be nice to be able to report an issue or provide feedback to "Roger" and have that item sent to the appropriate department for review. A lot of websites tend to use "[email protected]" for this, but anything would work. My suggestion is to offer a feedback form on the Contact Moz page. Second, the issue I wanted to report has to do with blog comments. I left a comment early this morning and, with me being on Central Time and the timestamp for comments using Seattle local time, I was surprised to see that my comment had been posted "2 hours ago" immediately after I clicked "Submit." I presume this text is dynamic and that, in Seattle, you see "seconds ago" or something but, being in Wisconsin, I see "2 hours ago." This is confusing mainly because I have no idea how long ago other comments may have been posted. P.S. There isn't a question category for the Moz Blogs so I am choosing Moz - Other Research Tools. I view the blogs as a Product Moz provides so maybe adding "Moz - Blogs" to the Moz Product Help list of categories would be appropriate.
