A Safe Place for Link Building

Are there any trustworthy link exchange forums? I have over 20 PR 4-8 links

I'm locking this question and disabling further replies. If the original poster would like more feedback, it's best to create a new question at this point.

Thank you Keri & Jennita for pointing that out I was wondering how my answer would be taken after the question was re-worded completely.
Noneyes you gave me the good answer and then changed your question and I answered that one as well. You have every right to change your mind on that. I do not mind at all.
So you know it is kind of rough on the people who are answering if you are changing topic of the question instead of just asking a second question.
Noneyes apologize if it sounded harsh.
It was not meant to be mean.
I hope that clears everything up.
Sincerely,
Thomas

It automatically shows that the question has been edited. It is Keri's job to keep the community informed, and she was making sure that people realized that Thomas' original response was because of the edit.
-
how are you employed? how am i paying for a service that publicly announces if i edit a question
-
Just a quick note that Thomas's answer was made before the question was edited and changed. The response was not to asking for talking about link building, but to a different question. For readers who don't know this, his response looks a bit off and harsh.

Happy to be of help Karen

quicksprout.com has a Q&A forum I believe at no cost. I do not think you are going to get any answers that will tell you how to acquire links without putting in a lot of effort.
I would recommend reading the Moz SEO guide it is valuable to matter what level you are at and will give you priceless information in Your quest to make a website better.
http://moz.com/beginners-guide-to-seo
Think of it from the end-users perspective and work on it that way.
I would also encourage you to check out http://distiled.net/U
But if you want to build links today you have to think of productive methods in which that website can add value then share them through public relations PR newswire, will get you in front of a lot of journalists and bloggers that will write about your niche if the content is outstanding and worth talking about. If you are not taking advantage of social media twitter, Google plus all those networks will bring attention to your website and people can then link to you naturally.
The building links part of search is in need of a rewrite for name.
I consider link building making the site fantastic and promoting it through legitimate channels.
Think about it no website is going even last if you try to manipulate the system so you want to start off that way. Or if you have traffic you want to destroy it by messing it all up.
I do not know what type of website your discussing or the business that they do however there are ways of getting listed locally that are completely white hat if the site is a local business. You can also make a name for the site in social media and through press releases.
The only place even remotely similar to this that I can think of is quick sprout. I think you will get the same answers that you been getting here.
I hope this is helpful,
Thomas

Is this a joke?
What you are doing is spammy, unreliable and black hat
Do not exchange links that is not how to get ahead.
Your really just hurting yourself by doing it.
Put the links away do not trade links for money or just because you think somebody else might have some fresh links that would help you that is really blackhat
It is against googles policies

Link Building
I'm having difficulty creating a solid link base. I would prefer to only have links that are on relevant sites that are likely to drive traffic rather then just adding my company page to site directories. I've checked out the whiteboard Friday edition of link building and have also used the new Moz analytics that helps recommend sites to link to, but all the recommendations were directories. So, could anyone hold my hand and guide me through the world of Link building? Your help, as always, is much appreciated. Thanks everyone Dave

Link Building with Widdgets and Tools
Hi, We run a affiliate program and as part of that program we offer free tools that our affiliates can take in order to help them promote our product. We have also used these tools as a link building method as we provide highly useful information. We have seen on Google Link Schemes page (http://support.google.com/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=66356) the following part which we believe has only just been added: Links embedded in widgets that are distributed across various sites, for example: Visitors to this page: 1,472

car insurance Our tool basically consists of a link of JavaScript with a link outside of the tool as per the following example: this super widget was provided by <a>mydomain.com</a> We are now concerned that a link building process that we have used for many years is now considered to be gaming Google. We also do something similar with badges that we give out to approved suppliers. These would look something like the following: Approved Supplier http://mydomain.co.uk/ Any recommendations on whether or not the style we are using would now be considered as wrong to Google, even though they add value to our partners sites. Thanks for any help in advance.0 -
Page Rank, Domain Rank, Link Building....Oh my!
Hi Everyone, So I am looking into a couple of sites that we can use for press release distribution. Naturally, I am looking for sites that will improve our SEO (sites that have a high domain authority). I guess I am just trying to wrap my head around the whole domain/page authority and how it effects our SEO. So for example, I am looking at prlog.org. They have an overall domain authority of 91...sweet! Is this all I should be looking at when I am looking to place a press release, which will include targeted links using appropriate anchor text? If I drill down even further to the actual section that the press release will live on, which will be the security section of the site, the page authority is a 49. Is this what I should be looking at? Do I have to drill down even further and look at the page rank for the actual URL that my press release will actually live on? I am assuming since it will be a totally new page that the page authority will be very low. Is this correct? Should I be looking at a combination of the two? The page authority of 49 is pretty low but the domain authority is very high. What does this mean for my SEO and my links? In a nutshell I need to know what I should be looking at for SEO purposes, is it domain authority, is it page authority of the section the site will live on or is it the actual page that my press release lives on. Is it a combination? What would you do in this situation? Also, could you give me a little more insight into when a low domain/page authority can actually hurt you. What the threshold where you get no link juice or are actually penalized? Do you have any insight in the domain/page domain number that is considered not worth it? Thanks all! Pat

Link Building for relaunched & newly designed site
Hey all, Next week we are relaunching our brand spankin' new site. It's a major overhaul of our existing site from both a brand, design, and identity point of view. As part of the relaunch we will be reaching out to journalists in our niche with PR, and also doing a series of guest posts. But I'm wondering about other link building opportunities around newly redesigned websites. I have a list of about 2 dozen design + CSS galleries to submit to. Can you recommend other sources? I'm especially interested in sites that review web design, etc... Thanks. C.

How many nofollow links should we build to have a natural link profile
Hi guys, As with many link builders we have been building lots of dofollow links for our site, so many that mainly our incoming links are dofollow. Some pages have 99.5% dofollow external links which I know is not very natural. In your experience in terms of percentage how much should you have in terms of nofollow external links in your link profile. I noticed SEOMoz has about 12-13% nofollow external links, shall I go with this figure? Thanks guys. David

Link building for rankings VS Link building for relationships
A Big Shout To Everyone -- Good Morning and What's Up 🙂 As I read today through seomoz professional guide to link building and the section why link building matters and in addition to this a newsletter I received today that changed my whole thinking towards link building for rankings vs for relationships. It is already happening on social networks if you are active there, but what about on your website. What are your thoughts on the following ? Google's job is provide the most relevant results to surfers online, and looking the link profile of a site & the page itself is the key to determining which page to serve on plate to the surfers link query ! I think that we as webmasters have to ask ourselves what do we want to achieve with link building. To get quick traffic or build slow authority links, high rankings, lead generation, sales & other things here I may be missing etcccc Other Objective Networking & Relationship Building Alliances : What I discovered today is that building links for 1st page rankings are great and will provide me with steady traffic, but not all of it is targeted traffic, but what else can I do to bring targeted traffic and at the same time try to build alliances with other related non competing business owners online. The idea... is to apply old school networking / relationship building alliances to get targeted traffic to my site that can actually benefit from my services. How Do We Achieve This I become a editor for approving resource links for me site, only the best will be placed on my site as a resource. Build a valuable tightly themed categorized resource section with related non competing resources that can help my sites visitors find what they are looking for, send visitors to non competing resources that may purchase their services which helps me build a relationship with them, and may can with rankings as well, provided I am selective with my qualification process. Questions & Concerns Below : What should I be thinking about when creating a resource categorized links page How many outgoing do follow links should I allow from this links partner page How will this links resource page affect my own SE 1st Page Rankings and is it worth it based on getting targeted traffic Any pros / cons I may be missing here0 -
