Anyone knows why our meta deta are not displayed properly ?
-
Hello
For some reasons our home description does not appear properly https://www.google.com/search?q=joomgeek&qscrl=1&gws_rd=ssl it looks like this http://awesomescreenshot.com/05c3n5fg65 I've resubmit my sitemap to G webmaster Tools and it still the same.
However when I bing it I see the proper one.
What can be wrong ?

OK well if you do a site:www.joomgeek.com in Google you will see that it shows the correct description, so there is no issue there.
This now comes down to Google for each query, the engine will decide what to show and what not and may choose to re-write, it is normally a good sign that perhaps Google does not love the description and me be worth re-writing.
When I took part of your description "Our webmarketing agency will help you to get the best ROI from your" and searched for it, it was on over 30 results, but your was nowhere. I would change it make it unique and submit it again.

As far as I know google read meta description and analyze it, if it doesn't seems to fit the page content (according of course to google algorithm) instead of the meta description shows some paragraph from the page close to the keywords being queried.
But, actually... Looking at the page you mentioned, there's not meta description in the page source.

Does anyone know of a tool where you can get all of the keyword that any given landing page is ranking for?
I'd like to find out what landing pages are ranking for which keywords, but I haven't been able to find a tool that does it. I was hoping there would be something where I could submit the url and get a list of every keyword it is ranking for. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks!

Brand Appearing in the Meta tilte by default
Hi All, Has anyone experienced the home page meta title indexed with their Brand coming up first before their actual Meta title? I know google overrides the meta title sometimes when the title is not relevant, I understand that. This just started happening 6 months ago. I thought I would leave it to see if it get corrected. but no luck! Any suggestions? Many thanks

Google finding my meta descriptions
I recently had my site redone (about a year ago). Since then google has not been using my meta descriptions much and more so using the descriptions within my site. Is there a reason for this? An example would be http://www.waikoloavacationrentals.com/vrp/unit/kolea-14/

Does anyone have any experience with Instart Logic, and its effects (if any) on SEO?
Instart Logic is a content delivery network CDN, which claims to have a positive effect on time to first bite (TTFB). Faster site = good for SEO, right? Our initial investigation seems to confirm its claims to some degree, which is great, but at the same time we think it may lower our score on Google's PageSpeed Insights tool, which sort of negates its effect in other areas. If the user experience is worse (according to Google's own tool), are we effectively shooting ourselves in the foot by concentrating on TTFB as a ranking algorithm factor? Using meta robots 'noindex'
Alright, so I would consider myself a beginner at SEO. I've been doing merchandising and marketing for Ecommerce sites for about a year and a half now and am just now starting to attempt to apply some intermediate SEO techniques to the sites I work on so bear with me. We are currently redoing the homepage of our site and I am evaluating what links to have on it. I don't want to lose precious link juice to pages that don't need it, but there are certain pages that we need to have on the homepage that people just won't search for. My question is would it be a good move to add the meta robots 'noindex' tag to these pages? Is my understanding correct that if the only link on the page is back to the homepage it will pass back the linkjuice? Also, how many homepage links are too many? We have a fairly large ecommerce site with a lot of categories we'd like to feature, but don't want to overdo the homepage. I appreciate any help!
