Disavowel tool.
-
Hello,
One of my sites has a strange link profile; it has 40000 in bound links but 30000 of them are from the site http://ourlipsaresealed.skynetblogs.be/ with the anchor text "haarstijl (2)" which is dutch for hairstyles. I haven't paid for or even asked for these links and I don't think its negative seo. I think they just set up a template with hundreds of links they thought were useful to their visitors and produce several pages a day.
So the question is do I use the new google disavowel tool? I've held off so far because A. they link to a competitor who haven't been anywhere near as affected as we have although they seem to have been affected to an extent by a drop for some reason and they have a much better link profile overall than mine. and B. in the video Matt cutts goes on over and over that this tool is for people that have done some dodgy link building in the past but I haven't.
Thanks,
Ian

Yes thats how I tried to contact them.
I haven't recieved a message from WMT but the drop first started in April and google only recently said they sent messages for 100% of MANUAL penalties by August or so and haven't ever said EVERYBODY with unnatural links got a message.
I think it's clear that the linking structure LOOKS unnatural. question is, assuming I can't get them to remove the links, do I disavow?
-
Hi Mark
It's true. It is not an email. It's a message in your WMT account.
Sorry about my horrible English.
-
To be fair, Google will not send him an email to say he should use this tool.
If there was an issue, he would have received a message via WMT indicating there was quite a lot of unnatural links pointing at his site.
Ian, you can contact this site via Twitter -

Hi,
sorry I forgot to mention I've tried to contact them. Whois won't work because its a subdomain.
-
Hi Ian
You only need to use the Disavowel Tool if Google has send you an email saying is better for you use this tool.
I hope this can help you.
-
Hi ian,
As a first step, it would be worth contacting the website directly and simply asking them to remove the links.
The tool is what you use if all other methods fail. It's obvious that such a large volume of links with identical anchor text from a site of that nature is not going to help you.
Use http://whois.net/ to find their contact details and drop them an email.

I need help on how best to do a complicated site migration. Replacing certain pages with all new content and tools, and keeping the same URL's. The rest just need to disappear safely. Somehow.
I'm completely rebranding a website but keeping the same domain. All content will be replaced and it will use a different theme and mostly new plugins. I've been building the new site as a different site in Dev mode on WPEngine. This means it currently has a made-up domain that needs to replace the current site. I know I need to somehow redirect the content from the old version of the site. But I'm never going to use that content again. (I could transfer it to be a Dev site for the current domain and automatically replace it with the click of a button - just as another option.) What's the best way to replace blahblah.com with a completely new blahblah.com if I'm not using any of the old content? There are only about 4 URL'st, such as blahblah.com/contact hat will remain the same - with all content replaced. There are about 100 URL's that will no longer be in use or have any part of them ever used again. Can this be done safely?

What is the best SEO tool to check internal linking structure
HI, Is there any tool to check how a website's internal linking structure has been linked. Some times few important pages may not linked very well and some links will be over linked. This will surge rankings...like if more links are pointing to one page? Is there any tool to check this?

If it's not in Webmaster Tools, is it Duplicate Title
I am showing a lot of errors in my SEOmoz reports for duplicate content and duplicate titles, many of which appear to be related to capitalization vs non-capitalization in the URL. Case in point, if a URL contains a lower character, such as: http://www.gallerydirect.com/art/product/allyson-krowitz/distinct-microstructure-i as opposed to the same URL having an upper character in the structure: http://www.gallerydirect.com/art/product/allyson-krowitz/distinct-microstructure-I I am finding that some of the internal links on the site use the former structure and other links use the latter structure. These show as duplicate title/content in the SEOmoz reports, but they don't appear as duplicate titles in Webmaster Tools. My question is, should I try to work with our developers to create a script to change all of the content with cap letters in the destination links internally on the site, or is this a non-issue since it doesn't appear in Webmaster Tools?

Whole site blocked by robots in webmaster tools
My URL is: www.wheretobuybeauty.com.auThis new site has been re-crawled over last 2 weeks, and in webmaster tools index status the following is displayed:Indexed 50,000 pagesblocked by robots 69,000Search query 'site:wheretobuybeauty.com.au' returns 55,000 pagesHowever, all pages in the site do appear to be blocked and over the 2 weeks, the google search query site traffic declined from significant to zero (proving this is in fact the case ).This is a Linux php site and has the following: 55,000 URLs in sitemap.xml submitted successfully to webmaster toolsrobots.txt file existed but did not have any entries to allow or disallow URLs - today I have removed robots.txt file completely URL re-direction within Linux .htaccess file - there are many rows within this complex set of re-directions. Developer has double checked this file and found that it is valid.I have read everything that google and other sources have on this topic and this does not help. Also checked webmaster crawl errors, crawl stats, malware and there is no problem there related to this issue. Is this a duplicate content issue - this is a price comparison site where approx half the products have duplicate product descriptions - duplicated because they are obtained from the suppliers through an XML data file. The suppliers have the descriptions from the files in their own sites.Help!!

Blog Subscribers Count Tool
So, I have about 100 different blogs that I am starting to organize into a list of potential guest blog opportunities. I wanted to see how many subscribers each blog had to their site to better help identify the top influential blogs. The only way I know how to do this is to search for the site inside of Google reader. I was wondering if anybody knows of a tool or knows a way to scrape the blog subscriber count from Google docs, or something more scalable. Thanks, Jason

HELP - got the following message - Google Webmaster Tools notice of detected unnatural links
Hi All, While trying to grow we used several freelancers and small companies for guest blogging, article submissions etc. We lost about 90% of traffic from our peek at December. We don't know if it is related but we got the following message last week:
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | BeytzNet
"Google Webmaster Tools notice of detected unnatural links to www.domain.com" Is it related (getting this message after two months of losing traffic)? What to do???? (P.S
We fired most of the companies we used months ago since we noticed they used bad methods. We didn't believe it can hurt us - just thought it would be useless...) Please Help...0
