Well the best way to explain more about this would to guide you here: https://mza.seotoolninja.com/blog/google-link-command-busting-the-myths it's already from 2009! but I'd say still relevant. These link commands are pretty useless these days. I'd set up the Google Webmaster Tools the right way to make sure that the data on your external links is up to date.

Google isn't recognizing links to my site. help
I recently changed my domain name and i see on moz that NOTHING is linking to my current domain (even though I have changed all of my links to go to my current domain name). My domain authority remains higher with my old domain name. I do have my old domain linking to my current site. Should I worry about this? How can i get google to recognize the link changes?

Hi fellow mozzers I wonder why opensiteexplorer (ose) isn't showing Google+ bio links in backlink profile reports of websites that get a link from the "about" page of a Google+ account (+ contributor link). Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Jacob

What's the difference between follow and nofollow links?
I understand this may be a really dumb question and from my understanding there is a piece of code in some url's that tell search engines not to follow that link. I am interested in finding out what the purpose of nofollow links are and how they apply to search rankings. Thanks for the help
