Finding missing GA code
-
Hi guys,
I'm trying to find missing Google Analytics code on pages using Screaming Frog.
I usually use Screaming Frog to find pages missing GA tracking but sometimes i encounter websites like: http://tinyurl.com/qjbdyxr which don't contain the GA code in the html (even though there is a GA code on the page). I'm guessing its located somewhere else and pulled in from somewhere?
Any suggestions?
Cheers,

Thank you Anders! Thumbs up!

Hi!
In addition to the other suggestions here, you can use Tag Assistant for Chrome (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/tag-assistant-by-google/kejbdjndbnbjgmefkgdddjlbokphdefk/), WASP.inspector or Tag Explorer which will detect and show you the GA tags fired on a page, even if fired via Tag Manager or other solutions.

Looks like you are running Google Tag Manager on the page. That is probably where it is being called from. This is assuming you are seeing GA data coming in for this site on your reports.
Follow the directions for using the Chrome Developer Tools and you will see the GTM code firing. These links will help

Missing HTTP response
Hi guys, Might be a dumb question but I'm not seeing a solution at the moment. I have this UA code online to start measuring cross-domain for a couple of websites. When I do a test, a missing HTTP response message appears. Anyone notices any errors that could retrieve this message? This is my code (dummy): Thanks,

How do I find links on my site
I'm looking to find a certain type of link on my site. A link that we're directing out of the site. We have a lot of subdomains though and I was wondering if there was a way to find all the links on each subdomain without screaming frog them all?

How to track click on phone number on mobile device in GA as a goal?
Hi, I work with a lot of physicians and one of the things I'd like to do is add a goal in GA so we can try to track how many visitors are clicking the phone # to call the office from smartphones. Would doing this be as straight-forward as adding a the standard javascript click text that I'd add for an external link? And Is there a way to make a goal only "count" if the user-agent is a smartphone? Because if I attach the JS to the phone #, it's going to be in all of the HTML regardless of which device is used. Unless of course, I mess with the CSS to only make the javascript code appear on certain stylesheets. Thank you!
