How to interpret a possible spam link?
-
Hallo,
Spam analysis is suggesting that my website may have a spam problem (score is 5).
When I analyse the single spam links, I am puzzled.
- the links to my site are actually links in disqus comments I wrote myself on the linking site, in order to aswer REAL question of real people giving them honest and useful answers (and linking my site :-), like the link pointed out in the attached image, also pasted herebelow:
Most links have this same nature.
Has this behaviour (which I consider natural, in good faith) been regarded as spammy?
Should avoid linking my site in the comments I write on external sites?
- the links from comunicatistampagratis.it (towards the end of the list) are from a free press release website: you send them the press release, they publish it.
Should I avoid using this free press release site? Should I avoid using any free press release site at all (since they are regarded as spammy)?
- is there a rule to learn (since apparently I have not been very good so far at using my good faith to separate good links from spammy links) whether a link can be spammy and therefore try and avoid it?
thank you for you help.

Hi Giorgio!
It's worth noting that Spam Score is correlative—it simply indicates that the page in question has features that we've seen on sites that've been penalized for spam. It's possible that the issue isn't coming from any one like, or type of link.
If you haven't, I recommend checking out this Whiteboard Friday and this blog post. Let us know if you still have questions then.

Links to non-exisiting pages
Hi, I have tons of incoming links to target pages on my website that do not exist. If you follow the link you get a 404 error. The anchor text is always a "spammy" non related text. Does anyone know what is happening and how to get rid or block these links? Thanks, Dirk

How long does it take to turn around a 10/17 SPAM score domain?
Hi - Looking at acquiring a domain name that has a great product fit. The problem is it is currently getting a 10/17 Open Site Explorer SPAM score. The existing site for the domain is running Google sponsored link ads and is full of internal pages that link off to these ads. That explains the existing SPAM score. If I acquire the domain I'll throw out the Google ad pages and build instead a site with real valuable content that behaves like a normal site and look at building backlinks etc. My question is, following this approach, how long is it likely to take Google to not see the domain as some Spam factory so it starts getting well positioned SERPs?

Open Site Explorer doesn't show local directories or citation links?
Why is it that when I run a link analysis for my local business sites I don't see any links from Yelp, Google+, Facebook, any local citations? Regardless of them being follow or no follow isn't the hyperlink to a website from a Yelp profile considered a link? Same with any other local business directory? I know the company is listed on a few dozen because I can see it manually but it's not showing up in Moz? Why is it that all local directories and citations with website are omitted? And since it is not there, where is a good place to go to discover these things? I have tried whitespark. It was okay but honestly I wasn't terribly impressed. The data was good, the UI was just okay, but with smaller clients it was an initial check and then very occasional checks that needed to happen. We would go months without using it.

Inbound links export report link redirect to OSE
Hi there, I have received email notification that my new inbound links CSV report is ready to export and download. I follow the OSE link but I am redirected straight back to the main page of OSE not the download. Is there a problem? Are the access problems due to the Moz.com and Research Tools Outage. reported on Moz Health? David
