Moz Pro for Local Catering Company?
-
Is Moz Pro or Moz Content useful for a local catering company? I've started a trial to try to determine if it will benefit us. Our new site will be up next week so we don't currently have traffic. We will be using some Adsense and direct mail campaigns to get started, but not sure if Moz local will be sufficient.
Please help connecting the dots.
I know it would be good to rank higher for example "Catering Tahoe, Ca." But how would Moz help me see what kind of content to create for a local catering company? I'm not sure a blog article makes sense.

Thanks for your responses! I think I will start with Moz Local and go from there, and look into Pro/Content as we get things moving along.

Hey there! Moz Pro and Moz Content can definitely be helpful, depending on your SEO goals.
Moz Pro will let you track keywords both locally and nationally, as well as provide traffic and site error data. However, if your interests are limited to local keyword tracking, you might also find use in our Moz Local add-on service, Search Insights. This will provide traffic data and local keyword data (as well as let you aggregate reviews across different sites). The cost is relatively lower than Moz Pro, so if you don't need such robust analytics software you might find it more suitable. You can learn about Search Insights here: https://mza.seotoolninja.com/help/guides/local/local-reporting
Moz Content, on the other hand, is really about performing content research for your site. If you have a blog or articles that you host, you can run an Audit to find out what's resonating with your audience and give you ideas about what to produce in the future. It also features Content Searches, which lets you look for popular articles about particular topics that you search. If you have a Twitter or other social media profile, you can use it to find articles to share with your audience! Moz Content offers some free access, so I recommend heading over there to see if the tool is useful for your needs. You can find Moz Content here: https://mza.seotoolninja.com/content/
I hope that helps!

Thanks for your response, I did mean Adwords campaigns going to landing pages To clarify And not running ads on the site.

Hi Nasoj,
Moz is a good tool for you for numerous reasons. Without traffic it doesn't have much to show but from the day you go live it will help you with: (local!) rankings, insights on potential keywords, evaluate competition, suggestions on set-up/content for landing pages, crawl errors, linkbuilding and more...
Question: Why would you be using Adsense on your site? It makes it less trustworthy for visitors and Google. Unless you mean Adwords?
Good luck with the launch of your site!

MOZ flagging urls as longer than 75 characters when they aren't
As an example: https://www.abthermal.com/3m-70-70hdt-self-fusing-silicone-rubber-electrical-tape.html Moz has flagged this as URL too long... but guideline is that happens at 75 characters or more? I count 55..?? or does the 75 limit have to include the domain? Thanks, Adrian

How can keyword explorer help me search on a more local level?
I am a total novice at this. I am taking the tutorial and the first thing she addresses is Keyword Explorer. It makes sense to me, but what doesn't is that it asks me to look for keywords in USA. I need to explore keywords on a local level. Anyone out there who can help me with this? am I over my head with Moz Pro if I am a complete novice?

Moz Site Crawl can't index WIX sites
We've been attempting to work on some SEO for a new potential client however they are using a WIX site. We've noticed that Moz SEO tools will not index any WIX sites. e.g. https://www.sharonradisch.com/ (which is one of their case studies). Anyone seen this that can offer any advice? Thanks,

Moz Analytics - Reports
In the guide video (http://moz.com/help/guides/getting-started) a report button is show. However, I cannot see this button in Moz Analytics. I'm assuming this is due to the tool being in beta?
