Exporting KW Lists
-
Hi all,
I am confused about the new Moz layout. Is there a way for me to export the list of keywords that I'm tracking to an Excel document. My client would like me to start tracking the avg. monthly searches and since I can't seem to find a way to do that in Moz, I need to export the list to an Excel doc and then drag and drop them into the Keyword Ad Planner.
I've tried to 'download the csv' using the 'export csv' function, but when I do it's not pulling the data how I want it. I basically just want to create a copy of the existing keyword list, but when I try to do it here, it's pulling a bunch of historical data and stuff I really don't need.
If anyone knows of an easier solution to achieve as much, I would love to hear it. Please let me know.

It would also be great to be able to delete or add/manage labels from each individual line (keyword) in the list, versus having to check the box(es) to select the keywords and then scroll all the way to the top to hit delete or add label. If you have a long list you're managing, this is time consuming!
Also, the ability to sort by header (keyword, labels, or location) would be helpful. Thanks!

Hiya!
Jo from the support team here.
It could definitely be better! I've let our team know about your feedback :]
Cheers!

This is a horrible way to have to download a list of tracked keywords? Why not have options for the export? Not very intuitive.

I've had the same issue. I just delete the extra rows and keep only the basics.

Issue with Keyword List Export
I am having an issue with the Keyword list export. I exported a keyword list, then went back in a made changes to the list (deleted keywords, changed priority, etc). Then when I re-export the list it still downloads the original list. For instance, I had a keyword list of 120 keywords. I exported it. Then I reduced the list to 30 keywords. Now when I export that list it is still the original 120 keywords. Any one else having this issue? Is there a way to fix this?

How do you choose a country when uploading a keyword list into Keyword Explorer?
Hi There, I'v been exploring keywords in the Keyword Explorer search bar and changing the Google country via the dropdown (very useful). But now that I'm uploading lists via CSV, I can't figure out how to change the country - see screenshot attached. I think I've just wasted a bunch of monthly queries because the lists created via .csv are all for the wrong country! Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers Ben upload-keywords.jpg?dl=0

KW Explorer is Working to Disambiguate Keywords Google Merges Together
Hey gang, Russ Jones from Moz has been doing a ton of heavy lifting work to try to get around the new problem posed by Google AdWords recent change to merged-keyword volume data. But, we're fighting back against this obfuscation in Keyword Explorer. I'm sharing two emails (slightly edited) from Russ about what we're doing here: Introduction to the Problem: Google Adwords Keyword Planner is the primary source for keyword search volume (how often a keyword is searched monthly on Google) for much of the search marketing industry. While Google has grouped together highly-similar terms for a while (especially misspellings), in June of 2016 they dramatically increased this keyword-grouping. This means similar phrases like "keyword rank", "keyword ranking" and "keyword rankings" would all be reported as having the same, combined search volume, rather than their individual search volumes. If you were to take Google's numbers at face value, you might think there are 3,000 searches per month for these 3 terms, when in reality there is only 1,000, divided amongst the 3 terms. How we are addressing it: Moz's Keyword Explorer uses a blend of data sources, not just Keyword Planner, to build our volume metrics. This gives us a distinct advantage in that we can adjust the volume of words that deviate dramatically in one data set verses another. Take for example the phrases "keyword rank", "keyword ranking", and "keyword rankings". While Google Keyword Planner might report all of these as having 1,000 searches per month, Moz Keyword Explorer can detect that these numbers are significantly higher than what our models would predict given our other data sets. We can then adjust the volume accordingly. Moreover, given our huge keyword data set, we can also identify grouped phrases (like these 3) and divide the volume proportionally to what we see in our other data sets. Thus, we address the grouping problem from multiple directions. Here's email #2 from Russ, detailing more of how we're attacking this: I have been working pretty much non-stop on this keyword volume disambiguation problem (finding the real search volume of individual keywords when Google clumps several together). I think I have settled on a pretty good solution and am working on getting it all in. For example... Google Keyword Volume for the phrases "briefcase for women" and "briefcases for women" are both at 3600 because they have been lumped together. My disambiguation script says the singular (briefcase for women) should be 2731 and the plural should be 869. Google Trends roughly agrees with this, showing that the singular is searched more than 2x the plural: https://www.google.com/trends/explore#q=briefcase%20for%20women%2C%20briefcases%20for%20women&cmpt=q&tz=Etc%2FGMT%2B4 Basically, Keyword Explorer should already be providing some more accurate/segmented numbers than AdWords, and in the future, we'll get even better thanks to our clickstream data and our evolving models. Any questions, let us know!

I'm checking keyword difficulty for two different sites. Would love to view the results by site instead of just one large list. Is that possible? Or would it just be easier to keep the lists separate in Excel and just import when I want an updated report?
I have keyword lists for two sites. Is there a way to label them in the keyword difficulty tool (List A, List B) so I can just view results for a particular site? Or do I need to run the report with List A, export results, delete those keywords, then run the report for List B?

KW Difficulty Daily Limit |
Hi Guys, We are using Keyword Difficulty Tool in Australia and today morning we noticed new 'keywords checked today' feature has been added. Does that mean we can only check 400 kws per day? Please clarify. Thanks

KW difficulty tool?
I can't get the keyword difficulty tool to work in AU at the moment. Can you get AU KWs to work? Any tips on us getting it to work? We've: deleted KWs and started over. logged out & logged back in. tried from multiple computers. waited hours. US search works fine for us - AU not at all. Thanks!

Does Moz Pro generate similar keyword phrases in a list (preferably showing their difficulty %) or is it only one phrase at a time with no similar words/phrases suggested?
I just signed up for Moz Pro but the keyword research seems to only let you try one keyword phrase at a time. Is there a way for it to give related keywords along with their difficulty % info, etc. It is far too slow and inconvenient doing one at a time.

How can I add Maps Listings Results to reports
I am trying to modify Moz reports so that I can show the maps results but I cant figure out how. Is this a feature that is not offered or am I blind? Even when exporting full rankings to PDF they don't show up. The issue is that a lot of the SEO work we do has a positive effect on the maps rankings for a particular client. Meanwhile the organic rankings are somewhat stagnant for this client and unless I create it manually there isn't anything I can export from Moz that shows maps results inclusion. Any help would be appreciated, thank you. IGlgIYA.jpg
