No link to Open Site Explorer from Campaigns tracked keywords?
-
Hi there,
The Guide to tracking your keyword rankings in Moz Pro states that "Click on the keyword to analyze it, the URL to be taken to that page in Open Site Explorer or the Optimize link to get a Page Optimization Score with recommendations.".
But my URLs all target to the specific page on my site. I figure it would be nice to dive deeper in analysing specific pages, using Open Site Explorer
Is just the link with Open Site Explorer broken, or is the Guide out of date?
Thanks, Arnout

I hear ya, loud and clear! I'll pass this along to the team as a feature request!

Hi Tawny, thanks for clarifying.
(Would be a great idea though....! hint hint)

Hey there! Tawny from Moz's Help Team here.
Whoops! Oh dear. That's an error in our guide. So sorry about that! The URL will take you to the page in question that's ranking for that keyword, not to Open Site Explorer. We'll get that page updated shortly!
So sorry for the confusion there!

Yeah… that was what I was thinking as well.
(Would be a nice idea though, to be able to dive into OSE.)
Perhaps an extra OSE-icon could be placed beside the URL as well!

That looks like an error in the guide to me. That little arrow symbol next to the URLs generally means it will go to the indicated page and that is what it does in this case.

Unsolved Issue with former site redirect
Hello, After 2 months of starting a new service with a new domain name and a rather flat curve, I decided to invest in auditing tools. To my surprise, when analyzing links with 'Link Explorer', I got the following warning : "You entered the URL crapahute.com which redirects to www.krapahute.com. Click here to analyze www.krapahute.com instead."... So I understand I bought a domain name that was previously in use, 8 years ago. And logically, when they moved from crapahute.com to krapahute.com, the former site owners set a (probably 401) redirect between their former name and their new one. Probably that in the last 8 years they dropped crapahute.com since I was able to buy the domain name last year. I can't understand the warning I'm receiving. since I thought this redirect would become inactive when they dropped the domain name. On the contrary, if I analyze the backlinks to krapahute.com I can indeed see : crapahute.com [no anchor text] 3 2 0 --

2016-09-05 - N/A - www.krapahute.com So my question is : where is this warning coming from ? I performed some nslookup and dig on my domain and their's just to find out that every thing seems to look normal. Meanwhile, if I type "crapahute" in Google (and most other search engines), my site arrives in 12th page (!), and if I type "crapahute.com", the site "krapahute.com" appears first. Thank you for those reading up to that point ! Any hint on what could cause this ? Should I change of domain name ? Thank you !0 -

Inbound links not found in Moz Pro(though they exist)
These sites have many inbound links but Moz Pro finds no such links. I also used SimilarWebPro Trial to confirm the existing of such links. (these sites have IP block so it requires an VPN to access with Japan IP) osakado.cc

oskd.biz Could anyone figure out why Moz can't find those links to those sites? Any tricks in place to hide those links from SeoMoz? If I pay to upgrade SimilarWebPro but Id rather stay with SeoMoz Pro. thanks in advance.0 -
Is open site explorer the best way to find backlinks?
I know my websites have links from other sites, but I don't see it listed using the open explorer tool. perhaps the reputation of the external link is a factor? _Cindy

Not seeing index update for one individual campaign
Hi, I'd been looking forward to seeing the latest index update for a Moz campaign set up in September, but it doesn't seem to be coming through. I'm still seeing that the next update is due on 14th Dec.. All of my other campaigns were updated on time, so I was wondering if it's normal to see different behaviour for relatively new sites/campaigns, or if it suggests that there's a problem somewhere (other than my impatience)? Many thanks,

Is this site linking to us?
Hi, Moz OSE does not recognize this site as linking to our site, but I feel like it has to be. Here is the code and the link to the site: http://www.avvo.com/attorneys/34655-fl-stacy-kemp-1843513.html#contact [https://kemprugegreen.com/location/tampa/tampa-car-auto-accident-attorney/](<a class=)" target="_blank">https://kemprugegreen.com/location/tampa/tampa-car-auto-accident-attorney/ So are they linking to us? If so, how come OSE cant find it? It lists it for our competitors. Thanks, Ruben

Confused about the link metrics showing up in MOZ & OSE
For my campaign "itelligence Applications" which is for site itelligencegroup.com/uk/ - MOZ seems to be giving me different stats on links, depending on which tab I look it in the Link Analysis section. Then when I look at OSE, the numbers are totally different again, not just a little bit different. Example: In MOZ Link Analysis, on the "inbound links" tab, it says there are 129 Root Domains and 6832 Total External Inbound Links. If I then look at the Competitive Metrics screen, it says there are 46,284 external followed links and 240 total linking root domains. If I then go to OSE for the same site, it says there are 14 Root Domains and 686 total links. I have no idea why these numbers vary so much or how to even report them to my client. Am I missing something here? Any help would be gratefully received! Maureen
