Content suggestions from MOZ
-
Hello,
I checked moz content suggestions and for one of my keywords “Burgundy bike tours”. It gives me expressions such as “Burgundy France” and “Burgundy wine”.
My question is whether I should include the exact expression “Burgundy wine” in a sentence or if include burgundy somewhere in my text and wine somewhere else if it is fine ?
PS : What is the real difference between marketmuse and moz ? and why do they sometimes give different suggestions ?

you are welcome. if you like you can mark the question as answered if you liked my answers.

Hi,
I sometimes use the Keyword Planner as inspiration for new keywords, most of the times its of no use, some times it is.
You can also have the Keyword Planner looking up a particular website and give you suggestions. Did you know?
Usually its best to have them together in the title/headers/text not split up. But if your competition doesn't have the exact match, split in the text would suffice as well i guess. But I am pretty sure that for the relevant, most important keyword combinations in your field this wouldn't be the case. Short answer: not separated.
Cheers,
Cesare

Thank you for the suggestions. I have used related searches and the keyword planner my self and I have noticed it work but not for every keyword.
Usually what I do I remove all the expressions with my keyword in it and usually find other expression to include...
By the way when you give the examples of "burgundy by bike" or "bicycle touring in Burgundy".
Does the expression need to be the way you write it and can the words be separated through the text ?
Thank you

If your site is about bike tours in burgundy please don't add wine keywords to your homepage! I assume you just offer bike tours there, not wine tours as well or some combination. Wine has nothing to do with bike tours at all, thats absolutely not relevant there. To add that to your site would confuse Google.
These are suggestions made by a software only. It takes the closest guess that comes with burgundy in France and thats obviously the wine. In my experience these kind of automated suggestions are almost never useful.
To do a proper keyword research I would do the following:
- brainstorming keywords
- look at Google suggest (when you type in a keyword Google in the search box it gives you possible choices underneath)
- Google related searches on the bottom of the search results
- look at the keywords your (better ranked) competition uses
- If you like have (quick) a look at Moz or Adwords Keyword Planer (very useful for traffic data) to see if there is any intelligent suggestion there
Keywords like 'bicycle touring in burgundy' or 'burgundy by bike' are in my opinion better guesses to complement your keyword list.
I don't know about marketmuse, try the Google Adwords Keyword Planer once, its one of the most used tools in this domain, it will give you most likely different suggestions. Differences come from the implementation of the tools, priorities, databases they have available and use for that purpose.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Cesare

What should I do if same content ranked twice or more on Google?

After publishing my content Google ranked them on 1st page. But my fear is that most of the content twice or more. The keywords are ranked by post, wp post tag and Archive. Website Redesign - Duplicate Content?
I hired a company to redesign our website.there are many pages like the example below that we are downsizing content by 80%.(believe me, not my decision)Current page: https://servicechampions.com/air-conditioning/New page (on test server):https://servicechampions.mymwpdesign.com/air-conditioning/My question to you is, that 80% of content that i am losing in the redesign, can i republish it as a blog?I know that google has it indexed. The old page has been live for 5 years, but now 80% of it will no longer be live. so can it be a blog and gain new (keep) seo value? What should i do with the 80% of content i am losing?

Thin Content, Ecommerce & Reviews
I've been reading a lot today about thin content and what constitutes thin content. We have an ecommerce site and have to compete with large sites in Google - product pages in terms of content quantity are low and obviously competitors all have similar variations of the same product descriptions. Does Google still consider ecommerce sites as with thin content as low quality? A product page surely shouldn't have too much content which doesn't help the user. My solution to start was to get our customer reviews added to the product pages to help improve the amount of quality content on this page, then move into adding video etc when we have resource. Thanks

http://www.sitename.com/category-name/filter1/filter2 Firstly, I thought that the filtres don't work. But, when I browse the site and I test it, I see that the filters are working and generate links like bellow:
http://www.sitename.com/category-name#/filter1
http://www.sitename.com/category-name#/filter1/filter2 The links without the # do not work; it messes up with the filters.
Why are the pages indexed without the #, thus generating me duplicate content?
How can I fix the issues?
Thank you very much!0 -

Question about copying content
Hi there, I have had a question from a retailer asking if they can take all our content i.e. blog articles, product pages etc, what is best practice here in getting SEO value out of this? Here a few ideas I was thinking of: I was thinking they put canonical tags on all pages where they have copied our content? They copy the content but leave all anchor text in place? Please let me know your thoughts. Kind Regards

Duplicate Content
Hi everyone, I have a TLD in the UK with a .co.uk and also the same site in Ireland (.ie). The only differences are the prices and different banners maybe. The .ie site pulls all of the content from the .co.uk domain. Is this classed as content duplication? I've had problems in the past in which Google struggles to index the website. At the moment the site appears completely fine in the UK SERPs but for Ireland I just have the Title and domain appearing in the SERPs, with no extended title or description because of the confusion I caused Google last time. Does anybody know a fix for this? Thanks
