Social Metric SERP
-
Hello!
When I'm looking at a SERP analysis for a keyword, I'm able to see the social metric, showing the amount of social shares - Would this include social shares in general for posts from that domain or is it just the specific URL?
Thank You
-
-
Yes, It will show you the total no.of shares. If you each page independently, it will show only the page metrics, not whole domain.
-
Great thanks. Is that confirmed then? It wouldn't be possible to see 0 shares for the home page, and then a large number of shares for a blog post from that domain?
Thanks
-
Hi Radi,
In my view, It was showing " The total number of shares on the social networks about the domain ".

Is anyone experiencing trouble with the SERP overlay function?
We are having some issues with the data not being reported and sometimes inconsistent with the OSE results. It could just be our computers, but I wanted to see if anyone else was experiencing difficulty. Thanks!

Does Domain Authority Consider Social Signals?
I was curious if Domain Authority considers social signals. "We calculate this metric by combining all of our other link metrics—linking root domains, number of total links, MozRank,MozTrust, etc.—into a single score." Is Social included in the etc? I know you have some social data displayed in the results.

Social Signal Culmination?
My competitor has a certain amount of Shares/Likes averaging roughly 6,700/24,000. The thing that bothers me is that according to OSE inside Top Pages 7/13 results all populate the same metrics. I would understand better if these were correlated with their home page where they have roughly 14k but that is not so. I would like to think they're culminating all their Likes/Shares together. I guess my question is how are they doing this? What long-term effects will they suffer? And, is this Black-Hat or not? Any feedback would be great. Thanks!

Confused about the link metrics showing up in MOZ & OSE
For my campaign "itelligence Applications" which is for site itelligencegroup.com/uk/ - MOZ seems to be giving me different stats on links, depending on which tab I look it in the Link Analysis section. Then when I look at OSE, the numbers are totally different again, not just a little bit different. Example: In MOZ Link Analysis, on the "inbound links" tab, it says there are 129 Root Domains and 6832 Total External Inbound Links. If I then look at the Competitive Metrics screen, it says there are 46,284 external followed links and 240 total linking root domains. If I then go to OSE for the same site, it says there are 14 Root Domains and 686 total links. I have no idea why these numbers vary so much or how to even report them to my client. Am I missing something here? Any help would be gratefully received! Maureen
