Spam score of 28 %
-
Hello,
I checked my website spam score in link explorer and found out it has got 28 %.
What do you recommend I do ? should I ask for all the links to be removed (even though some of them are no followed)
Is it possible that google has penalised me because of that score and de-ranked me ?
Thank you,
-
Hiiii..............28% spam score is high but don't worry. Check the links on your site to see if there are any low-quality links, if any, remove them to reduce the spam score.
Google will not penalize you just for this score, but will ask you to improve your ranking. -
Hi Meghan,
I have no manual action on my google dashboard does it mean I shouldn't worry ?
Thank you, I will have a look at the link you sent.

Hi there!
Thanks so much for the great question!
So your Spam Score in Link Explorer is representative of the percentage of sites we've found with features similar to those found on your site that are being penalized or banned by Google. It is not necessarily due to the types of links pointing to your site. If you're looking to improve your Spam Score, I would recommend looking into the 27 common features we've found contribute to these penalizations and see if you're able to work on them on your site. I have a great guide which talks more about Spam Score, how it's calculated, and what it means. It also includes a list of those 27 features. https://mza.seotoolninja.com/help/link-explorer/link-building/spam-score
I hope this helps! If you have more questions or if you need anything else, feel free to email us at [email protected]!

Could someone help me with that ? Thank you,

I bought a domain name https://ez1.in and it has a high MOZ spam score. Although it is because of the previous webmaster who used this domain as a URL shortening website. But now I am using it as a service delivery website. I wanted to know once a domain is deleted and ready to resell MOZ doesn't update its Spam score? Or it has periodic updates that are scheduled? How does the whole process work?

What does it mean when Moz KW explorer returns a negative keyword difficulty score (eg -2)?
I recently did a keyowrd difficulty lookup in Moz keyword explorer as usual and for the first time a saw several (out of 100s) of negative keyowrd scores (generally -2). Is this a bug, what does it mean?

Anyone Know How Accurate The Spam Analysis Score Is?
Hello, I have a website whose spam analysis is showing a score is a 6 but when I look at the my links, I only have one link that is showing up as a 5. I look at all the subdomains and root domain and I am just curious if I should be worried or that this is quite common. Thoughts? Thanks,

How is Moz's DA score so high?
Obviously they make the tool that measures this, but is their own score inflated because of this? I know DA isn't strictly a measure of popularity, but Moz's own score seems a little _too _high compared to some other sites... 92 - Moz.com 90 - Salesforce.com 87 - Airbnb.com 84 - Priceline.com 83 - Squarespace.com Can someone shed some light on how DA is actually measured?

The Moz Spam Score tells me my site has too few backlinks for such a large site. How many links per page would I need to not trigger this filter and stop appearing spammy?
Hello! One of my sites is triggering the 'too few backlinks for large site' filter. I am wondering how many backlinks I need so as not to trigger this. Many thanks for your help. Toby

New Spam Analysis Tool Results Questions
First off, I am incredibly excited about this tool. Secondly, I have a slew of questions, but the ones that are lingering for me are as follows. There are a few URLS that we used to control which are showing up in our list as spammy. The websites no longer exist as of roughly a week ago and I presume they still show up simply because of the last indexing. That being said, if a website doesn't exist anymore, yet the link is showing up in our GWMT or MOZ, is it still necessary to disavow? Is that overkill? http://alcoholdrugrehablosangeles.com/ is an example of a website we used to control and I have removed. My second lingering question is if there are a handful of links that are registering as spammy, and I presume it is due to lack of content/duplicate content, and I move that content to its appropriate place on another website and 301 that domain to its new home, will the "spam score" carry over?

Is a higher or lower score better in keyword ranking
I know this is a weird question, I think I have confused myself with different keyword tools. So if you get a score of 10 for your keyword, should you aim to be closer to 1 or 50?
