VERY specific Google search result not showing
-
Hello,
I'm doing this google search "Peruvian Lilies Delivery To Athens, Alabama globalrose", in the hopes of this page appearing. It does not!
Does anyone know why this page (or most pages in out local.globalrose.com subdomain) aren't appearing on Google search results?
-
Thanks Roman,
I will begin using the on page grader for our local pages.
-
Thanks you so much Keri!
I have removed the canonical tag. That must have been the issue.
I will also begin checking for asset files and not auto-generating state pages with any parameter.
Thanks again!!

Keri gives you a good answer, just to add some useful tips just go to your On-Page Grader tool and check your pages for your target keyword. These are some recommendation probably not all of them apply to your case but is a starting point
- Exact Keyword Used in Document at Least Once
- Broad Keyword Use in Page Title
- Exact Keyword is Used in Page Title
- Keyword Placement in Page Title
- Use Keywords in your URL
- URL Uses Only Standard Characters
- Keywords in the Meta Description
- Keywords in the Meta Description
- Keywords in Image Alt Attribute
Also as I see you have your main domain and a subdomain
And both have different metrics as a domain rating and as URL rating. So a good advice for you is starting to build some internal links to your local pages

I'd remove the <link rel="<a class="attribute-value">canonical</a>" href="<a class="attribute-value">https://globalrose.com/</a>"/> on the pages of your subdomain for a start. Ease up on the auto-generated pages, too. I went to check the robots.txt of the subdomain, and instead got a page with the title "Fresh Flower Delivery To Robots.Txt and throughout the USA"

I have listings that I need disconnected from my main Google My Business account. I can close, or remove which is similar as closing, but the goal is not to close the listings, just to remove the association to my google account, and im not transferring the listing as well. Anyone know how to accomplish this? Goal is to clean up old listings that are exist but I dont manage Thanks for all the help

Google My Business pages for New Construction Communities
I have a number of builders of new homes as clients. Typically, they build out a whole neighborhood at once and give the neighborhood a fancy name. We were planning to create Google My Business pages for these communities but then ran into some potential challenges. As new communities, they are sometimes not on Google's radar yet Some of them have model homes where you might take a tour with a realtor that serves the community exclusively but many don't. So here come the questions... Is there a way to make Google speed up its process of recognizing new addresses? I have to choose an address to associate with the GMB page, probably the address of model home. Is this going to create annoying problems for a buyer who someday buys that model home? Since some communities don't have a model home, I could arbitrarily assign an address of one of the neighborhood homes to the GMB page, but this leads to the same question about creating a GMB page that will exist after the builder has sold all the houses in the community. Will it be weird to have the GMB referring to someone's private residence down the road? My assumption is that claiming a GMB page would help with local ranking if someone searches for something like "new homes" in addition to providing easy driving directions to someone who has done a bit of research and Googles the name of the new home community while out driving and searching for homes. These seem to be the main benefits, but are the challenges associated with questions 1-3 even worth the trouble of trying to claim listings for these communities?

How do you select a Google category for the SERPs?
Recently I was looking up law schools in Texas and came across a SERP listing I had never seen before. Google provided the category "law school" and narrowed it down by geographic location. I checked the code on both websites for schema and was unable to locate it. Furthermore, one GMB listing was claimed and another was not. I'm wondering why both Texas A&M School of Law and Houston College of Law showed up but University of Texas Law School did not. I have attached a screenshot of the SERP to see if anyone has seen this before or can provide any insight. Search term was "list of law schools in texas" but the same snippet showed up for "best law schools in texas." Thanks 8XHvZt4.png

Google Local Business SEO
Under "http://moz.com/blog/everybody-needs-local-seo" Q) There is a paragraph saying "If your business has multiple locations, you should have a unique location landing page for each Google Plus Local listing." Does it mean that for each of my shop (location), i have to create an brand new google plus page for it? Q) There is a paragraph saying "you're dealing with a single location, then we're talking about your home page - but these elements should also be locally optimized on product and services pages. City and state in the title tag. City and state in H1 heading" For example, if my country is australia, i have to create a page within my website and the it is optimised to the keywords "Gold Coast | Australia" in my 'product and services page'?

Google Authorship issues with a 200+ person company
So, I wanted to say thank you ahead of time for any help the amazing Moz community may be able to provide me with. I am going to start with giving a little background to the company I work for and then I will ask the question. We are a 200 person CFO Services firm (www.b2bcfo.com). We have partners almost all over the country and our research with potential partners and clients has shown that they like having a national presence, but they also need a regional/local presence too. To that end, we set up Google Places accounts for each of our partners as they are technically separate businesses under our umbrella. We also have the main national site (www.b2bcfo.com) and we have regional websites (e.g. www.houstonb2bcfo.com). We want to set up Google Authorship on each of our partners sections of the regional website, in the process of setting this up, we realized that the Google Plus pages we were using were Local + pages and it didn't seem to give us the option to add the "Contributor on" links to get Google Authorship working. It seems to me as if the only way we can get Google Authorship working is to set up additional Google Plus accounts (users) and then manage 2 accounts for each professional. I was wondering if anyone in the community knows a way of getting the Google plus local pages to work with authorship? Or do you have any other suggestions on how this may work? Please let me know if you need more information, Thank you.

Attribute availablelanguage not allowed on element span at this point. Have I misread how to implement this schema or is html validation not up to speed and I should ignore for now?
