Whats the difference between insecure content and mixed content
-
I've been recently digging into Screaming Frogs "mixed content" report and lately theres been news about a "mixed content" Chrome update. Are these two related? Are they the same? Whats the difference between the two?
-
Another thing that can produce mixed content is... you have an https page but within that page your display images, videos, widgets and other resources that are brought in from an http source.
-
Could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that insecure content is when you link to full pages on HTTP rather than HTTPS. Mixed content is when you have a page on HTTPS, but it links to insecure resources (e.g: a PDF or image on HTTP)

How to deal with duplicate content
HI,
SEO Learn Center | | corn2015
A client wants to start selling wordpress sites that are preloaded with products and content. He has over 2.000 products on the site. It's a site we've redone in wordpress that was coldfusion based. Is there any easy automated way to alter the product descriptions without having to edit each one manually? The descriptions will still need to be understandable. How bad can duplicate content hurt you in google? Corn0 -
What are you doing to change their stars?
I read on PCWorld a piece by John Rebeiro (@JohnRebeiro) about Google's employee diversity. In it, Google in the US is 70% male and 61% white. There is more data and it's worth a read. My question for those of you who may employ more than a 2 to 3 people is are you actively engaged in doing anything to change the stars of young women, minorities, lower income children, etc.? Why do I ask? Because early on in my Mozziness I saw someone ask for some help with a site around children and autism. From Rand to every mozzer on Q&A there was an outpouring of help. I was truly moved. I would love to learn from others who are further along in these types of efforts.

Google does make an effort in that they have RISE awards to assist with those who are working to promote STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) with girls and minorities. These awards are from $10K to $100K to help expand these types of programs. We have had paid interns for some time now and we get as much or more than we give from that effort (boastful disclosure: Our head of development today was our first intern!) We put on a one week Code Camp (go to our site/code-camp) a few months ago and it was amazing - for me and for our team. But, to see kids eyes open up as they realize they have found something they never even thought they would have an interest in is mind blowing. We decided we would give a $25 gift card to Best Buy for the student who was most engaged and pushed the most to learn more, etc. That winner had never thought of coding as something SHE would have an interest in and she was an unbelievable sponge. She pushed our dev staff to give her more and more and it was truly fun and rewarding for them. Yes, we had to spend some time and money, but the break from the day to day of a marketing firm for our team truly invigorated them. I just want to know what others might be doing in the areas of trying get more diversity in the ranks of those who work in our world? It would be great to share ideas and resources. I will tell you that if anyone needs tips, what we learned, etc. I would be more than happy to share all.3 -
Keyword research in 5 different countries. Advice and tips?
Hi guys, We have been asked to research keywords in 5 different countries, Australia, India, South Korea, Brazil, Singapore (4 different languages inc. Portuguese, Korean, English, Indian). Being that I have never conducted keyword research outside of English, I thought maybe you guys could: 1. Point me in the direction of consultants/freelancers who can research terms in those languages. 2. Suggest tips one should bear in mind when designing an SEO strategy for multi-national websites (such as the different SE's used in countries and cultural-behavioral differences) Any articles, guides, tools etc. that can help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Websites copying my content and spamming it on 15+ different domains- WHY?? More pop up as I try to take each one down- what do they gain from this?
I own http://TheCareerProject.org and in the last 3 months over 15 sites have popped up copying my content and Google is scanning it as my own. Why would a site do this? Is it a hacker campaign to take away rankings? What benefits do they get from this. EXAMPLE1 : http://germanbollati.com/heat-victor-hugo-juarez-puebla/, EXAMPLE 2: http://rsa-dev1.com/unbalanced-underwriting-outsourcing-india/ There are 15 more I have submitted to Google Webmaster to evaluate and I contact the site owners and majority do not respond. Why are they doing this and what can I do? Thank you - Alicia- [email protected]
