How many days for a Backlink
-
Hi
One week ago, i created a blog on wordpress added the url of my blog on google, bing and yahoo.
In that blog i put a link of my webshop (the site im working on SEO) but when i checked the backlinks of my webshop (with seomoz tools and yahoo explorer) , the link from the blog still doesnt show.
How many days it takes for a backlink to be registered ?
Thanks

I use the OSE to monitor more backlinks from competitors because it takes longer to show up the links. The links that appear quickly are Google WebmasterTools and Majestic SEO. But still take about a month : )

From my experience twitter has proven to be a great tool to index new pages really fast on google, but never used it for backlinks. I think, maybe if you do get your backlink indexed the value of it would be close to none (even the profile link).

What about twitter ?
I have a profile for my webshop in twitter, i created maybe 6 months ago but no backlink !
Then i checked one of my competitor and he gets a backlink from his twitter profile page...
that is very weird

I notice that the higher the Page Rank of the page you posted the link the faster it is saw by the Search Engines. Don't know if that its true, its just my guess.
Also I recommend you to use the Yahoo Site Explorer, its the fasted tool in the web to show you the indexed links. There are several backlinks that I saw showing there in less then 24 hours after it were created but Google Webmaster Tools and the Tools here in SEOmoz normally takes longer, the Google Webmaster Tools for instance I think its pretty random to show the new links.

Lots of people think that they can toss up a blog and manufacture immediate backlinks for their primary domain. But if that blog has no inbound links from other domains that are indexed by the search engines then the links on the blog will pass zero value back to the primary domain. In fact, they might never be discovered by crawl.

Linkscape is only updated once a month, so be patient. search engines can take weeks or even monrths to find the link also.

How can I avoid too many internal links in my site navigation?
Hi! I always get this notification on my pages 'Avoid Too Many Internal Links' when I run the Page Optimization Score. And this is the message I get how to fix it: Scale down the number of internal links on your page to fewer than 100, if possible. At a minimum, try to keep navigation and menu links to fewer than 100. On my website I got a desktop navigation menu and a mobile variant, so in the source this will show more internal links. If I hide those links with CSS for the view, is the problem then solved? So Does Google then see less internal links? Or does Google crawl everything? I'm curious how I can fix this double internal links issue with my navigation menu.

How to arrange taxonomies when many mean the same thing?
Hello 🙂 I'm trying to figure out the category/taxonomy structure for my website which will be selling "Colored Contact Lenses" I'm a bit confused because, there are several search queries which sort of mean the same thing, for example "Halloween Contacts" are sort of the same thing as "Colored Contacts" people searching for Colored Contacts may potentially be looking for "Natural" styles, however many are looking for crazy styles, aka "Halloween Contacts" or "Crazy Contacts" Crazy contacts and halloween contacts, being the exact same thing just different choice of words from the searcher. So I'm trying to think of what to do for categories/link structure... I believe i should start with a primary category .com/colored-contacts/ then .com/colored-contacts/halloween-contacts/ But what about crazy contacts? Should I keep going, .com/colored-contacts/crazy-contacts/ which will have the exact same products listed? I'm kind if going crazy thinking about this lol, any thoughts and advice would be highly appreciated. Thank you!

Too Many Links?
Search Term is Indianapolis Wedding Photographers. Site is http://www.tallandsmallphotography.com/ Their metrics are through the roof compared to everyone else's. They've dropped from 27 in May to 40 Now. 'A' Grade on-site optimization. Either there's too many links, or there's some bad links involved... I don't know which it is...

Many Pages Being Combined Into One Long Page
Hi All, In talking with my internal developers, UX, and design team there has been a big push to move from a "tabbed" page structure (where as each tab is it's own page) to combining everything into one long page. It looks great from a user experience standpoint, but I'm concerned that we'll decrease in rankings for the tabbed pages that will be going away, even with a 301 in place. I initially recommending#! or pushstate for each "page section" on the long form content. However there are technical limitations with this in our CMS. The next idea I had was to still leave those pages out there and to link to them in the source code, but this approach may get shot down as well. Has anyone else had to solve for this issue? If so, how did you do it?

Too Many On-Page Links
Hello. My Seomoz report this week tells me that I have about 500 pages with Too Many On-Page Links One of the examples is this one: https://www.theprinterdepo.com/hp-9000mfp-refurbished-printer (104 links) If you check, all our products have a RELATED products section and in some of them the related products can be UP to 40 Products. I wonder how can I solve this. I thought that putting nofollow on the links of the related products might fix all of these warnings? Putting NOFOLLOW does not affect SEO?
