Website ranking stuck on 2nd page of google. How to bring it in top 10 position??
-
Hi
I am working on a site indianhomeappliances.in that for search terms such as 'best washing machine in india' appears near the top of the 2nd page of Googl for url https://indianhomeappliances.in/best-washing-machine-in-india/
When looking at what is listed on the 1st page for 'best washing machine in india' I would appreciate any advice/guidance on what else could be done to give the site a final push to get on the 1st page of search results.
I have made more than 60 backlinks along with sites from competitor analysis via moz for this page
Looking at the sites that are on the 1st page I cant understand why many of them are ranking higher than me?
Any insight and plan of attack would be most appreciated from any search experts on the forum. My website is 2.5 months old.
Many Thanks

To boost your ranking, try these:
Enhance Content: Make it more detailed and useful.
Optimize On-Page SEO: Improve meta tags, headers, and keywords.
Improve UX: Speed up load times and ensure mobile-friendliness.
Localize: Add localized content if targeting an Indian audience.
Competitor Insights: Analyze and learn from top-ranking pages.
Good luck! -
Hi,
I understand your challenge. Getting to the 1st page on Google can be tough. Here are a few strategies that might help:
Content Quality: Ensure your content is comprehensive and engaging. For example, consider adding detailed comparisons or reviews about washing machines. You might also include relevant multimedia, like videos or infographics, to make your content more attractive.
On-Page SEO: Optimize your page with the target keyword “best washing machine in India” in critical areas like the title tag, meta description, headers, and throughout your content. Ensure your page is both user-friendly and search engine-friendly.
User Experience: Enhance the page load speed and mobile responsiveness. A smoother user experience can positively impact your rankings.
Backlink Quality: Focus on the quality of your backlinks. Ensure they come from high-authority and relevant sites. Building relationships with influencers in your niche or using tools like Spotify for engaging content might help improve your site’s authority.
Competitor Analysis: Examine the strategies of higher-ranking pages. Look into their content, SEO practices, and user engagement. Tools like Ahrefs or SEMrush can offer insights into their strategies.
Local SEO: Optimize for local SEO if your target audience is in India. Use local keywords and ensure your site is listed in local directories.
Engagement Metrics: Improve engagement metrics like click-through rate (CTR) and time on site. Engaging content can help with this.
As a side note, you might want to explore how content on Spotify, such as playlists related to home appliances or product reviews, can help drive traffic to your site. Including a relevant Spotify playlist or integrating related content might add value and help attract more visitors.
SEO takes time, so be patient and keep refining your strategy. Good luck, and feel free to ask for more detailed advice!

hello
Improving your website's ranking on Google requires a combination of strategies focused on both on-page and off-page optimization. Here are some steps you can take to enhance your website's visibility and move it into the top 10 positions:-
Keyword Research: Identify relevant keywords that your target audience is likely to use when searching for your products or services. Use tools like Google Keyword Planner, SEMrush, or Ahrefs to find high-volume keywords with moderate competition.
-
Optimize On-Page Elements:
- Title Tags: Ensure that your title tags are descriptive, include target keywords, and are within the recommended character limit.
- Meta Descriptions: Write compelling meta descriptions that encourage clicks and accurately summarize the content of your pages.
- Headers: Use H1, H2, and H3 tags to structure your content and include relevant keywords.
- Content Optimization: Create high-quality, relevant content that addresses the needs and interests of your target audience. Incorporate target keywords naturally throughout your content.
-
Improve Website Speed: Google considers page speed as a ranking factor. Optimize your website's loading speed by compressing images, minifying CSS and JavaScript files, and using a reliable hosting provider.
-
Mobile-Friendliness: Ensure that your website is mobile-responsive, as Google prioritizes mobile-friendly websites in its search results. Use Google's Mobile-Friendly Test to check your website's mobile compatibility.
-
Quality Backlinks: Acquire high-quality backlinks from authoritative websites in your industry. Focus on building relationships with influencers, guest posting on relevant blogs, and creating shareable content that naturally attracts links.
-
Optimize for Local SEO: If your business targets a specific geographic area, optimize your website for local SEO. Claim your Google My Business listing, optimize your business information, and encourage satisfied customers to leave reviews.
-
Regularly Update Content: Keep your website's content fresh and up-to-date to maintain relevance and attract search engine crawlers. Consider creating a blog and publishing new articles regularly to demonstrate expertise and authority in your field.
-
Monitor Performance: Use tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console to track your website's performance, monitor keyword rankings, and identify areas for improvement.
-
Social Media Promotion: Share your website content on social media platforms to increase visibility and attract traffic. Engage with your audience and encourage sharing to expand your reach.
-
Consider Professional Help: If you're struggling to improve your website's ranking on your own, consider hiring an SEO expert or agency with experience in optimizing websites for search engines.
Remember that improving your website's ranking takes time and consistent effort. By implementing these strategies and staying informed about changes in search engine algorithms, you can gradually improve your website's visibility and move it into the top 10 positions on Google.

Most important thing to understand is that when it comes to improving your companies, organic SEO, that it is a slow process very slow, so what you don't want is to rush it because you might end up making SEO mistakes. It's better to implement high quality white hat SEO

Google is indexing the wrong page
Hello, I have a site I am optimizing and I cant seem to get a particular listing onto the first page due to the fact google is indexing the wrong page. I have the following scenario. I have a client with multiple locations. To target the locations I set them up with URLs like this /<cityname>-wedding-planner.</cityname> The home page / is optimized for their port saint lucie location. the page /palm-city-wedding-planner is optimized for the palm city location. the page /stuart-wedding-planner is optimized for the stuart location. Google picks up the first two and indexes them properly, BUT the stuart location page doesnt get picked up at all, instead google lists / which is not optimized at all for stuart. How do I "let google know" to index the stuart landing page for the "stuart wedding planner" term? MOZ also shows the / page as being indexed for the stuart wedding planner term as well but I assume this is just a result of what its finding when it performs its searches.

Wrong pages ranking for key terms
Hi, I have a website that was rebuilt and redesigned earlier this year, and it's struggling to rank. The problem is that the wrong pages are ranking for the key terms. For example, there is a page for 'Loft Conversions Essex' but the page that's ranking is actually the FAQ page (which doesn't mention the word 'Essex' at all). I have been through all of the usual items, and none of them seem to apply: The landing pages have been properly optimised (not overly so), while the pages that rank only contain the terms within the menu (the link that goes to the actual landing page) We thought it may be a redirect issue since the site was a bit of a mess before the rebuild, so we removed all of the redirects and resubmitted the htaccess file but that hasn't helped Internal anchor text is relevant There aren't a huge number of external links to the old site pages, and many of these pages didn't exist at all so I don't think that's an issue Most of the pages were built at the same time so there's no real reason why one would have more authority than another There are no canonicals interfering with these pages I can't really canonical these since we do want the pages to rank, it's just that they're all ranking for the wrong thing (so the SERPs are a lot lower than they should be). Most of these pages are pretty new, as I said, so while we have tried smaller content changes I don't think a full refresh will really help. To make it even weirder, the pages that rank for each term change regularly but it's never the right page. Help! EDIT: Thanks for the responses everyone!

Weird Page switch for a keyword in Google Rankings
Over this past weekend Google switched the page which usually showed in search results for keyword benchmarking. It went from from http://www.apqc.org/benchmarking to http://www.apqc.org/benchmarking-portal/osb. Also on Google the Rankings for the keyword 'benchmarking' sank from 15 to 47 for http://www.apqc.org/benchmarking Just looking for some theories or ideas or anyone that has had this happen to them.

New website won't rank for branded keywords in Google, but does in Bing
We launched a website in October www.butterfly.com. The branded product name "Butterfly Body Liners" will not rank until page 2 of Google, but it ranks #1 in Bing. Organic traffic never really picked up so it's not easy to tell if it's been "hit" by any penalty. The strange thing is, this website: http://archive.is/PQZdO is ranking #1. This is an archived version of the site. Does anyone have any insight as to why this is happening?

Google cached pages and search terms
Here's something I noticed. We have a rank A page and it's ranking 10 on Google search results. When I hover my mouse over our search result, Google gives us a preview, but Google also highlights in red where the search keyword is present on the page. Reviewing our page, even though we have it as the h1 header and intro paragraph, Google is highlighting it half way down the page. Any ideas why? I review rank 1 - 5 and Google highlights the keyword on the intro paragraph and h1 header Have you guys experienced anything like this? It makes me think..Google could be crawling my site and thinking I haven't got it in the h1 or intro paragraph etc.. Thoughts?

What causes internal pages to have a page rank of 0 if the home page is PR 5?
The home page PageRank is 5 but every single internal page is PR 0. Things I know I need to address each page has 300 links (Menu problem). Each article has 2-3 duplicates caused from the CMS working on this now. Has anyone else had this problem before? What things should I look out for to fix this issue. All internal linking is follow there is no page rank sculpting happening on the pages.
