My website spam score just increased all of a sudden from 1% to 67%
-
As at last week, my spam score was 1% but today I checked and it was 67% how come?
I haven't built any backlinks for months now, so I don't understand why it increased...some one please help....so it could reduce back to 1% or even 0% spam score....

Please moz work on your errors, how will my site just get 67% spam when I have disavowed too?
-
Hello all,
I think it's an error of Moz because my website sewgadgets.com was showing a 0% spam score a few days ago. but now suddenly it went to 7%. Is it something to worry about?
Thanks

So what you are saying is that my spam score can never be reduced?
I feel bad whenever I see it... It was just 1% last week and this week just from no where grow to 67% when I didn't build any

So, Moz's Spam Score is the percentage of sites with similar features we've found to be penalized or banned by Google (it's not based on the spam score of the sites linking to you). To improve this score I would recommend reading our guide which explains the 27 factors used to make up this score. You can then look at your site and investigate areas you would like to improve on your site: https://mza.seotoolninja.com/help/link-explorer/link-building/spam-score
Best of luck, and let me know if I can help with anything else!

Disavowing the spammy domains is not supposed to reduce the spam score because Moz has no visibility of the GSC disavow list. If you disavow a spammy domain you can reduce its negative impact from the Google perspective, but your own spam score will remain unchanged.

I have disavowed the two but it's not still reducing! Mywow.ga is what's redirecting to my domain, I don't know who did it and the site isn't functioning, but it's show to give me slot of spam score....
What next now?

First of all, Google doesn't use Moz spam score: https://support.google.com/webmasters/thread/2440327?hl=en
So, if your Moz spam score is high because of "spammy" backlinks it doesn't mean that Google considers your site as spammy. You can check the spam score for every linking domain in the Link Explorer. If there are too "spammy" domains take the necessary actions (disavow them in GSC as the last resort).

Why Page Authority = 1
Hi everyone! Long time reader, first time-submitter. I'm working with a client who has an old, established domain and brand name, decent DA score (43 overall, 52 for their home page), but almost all the rest of the pages of their small-ish website have a PA of 1. The domain itself has been around since 2000. The pages ranking at a 1 are not new URLs, they have a sitemap submitted to Google, are not being blocked by robots.txt, there's no auto-redirects or meta-refresh, and the response code for all pages is 200. What else am I missing? What could be causing this? TIA for the help!

When looking at my web campaign, I have inbound links pointing from every page located on my menu from https:// I do not have an https. website in any way. The weird part is that when I click on the link, it is a replica of my homepage, although in text only format. I have attached a picture for reference. Why and how could my top links be coming from this? I do not have any inbound links non https:// from my website Thank you! BNHHc5u

Moz's Spam Score - WWW v Non-WWW
Given that going with a www or non-www TLD is a coin-toss in Google's eyes, I'm curious as to how this relates to Moz's spam score (if at all)? Specifically, we've got a client who has several sites across a number of industry verticals, and for some of them, the www and the non-www versions of their websites are both in play (sigh). Obviously we'll sort that out shortly, but my question is why, when we put both TLDs into Open Site Explorer does the www and the non-www version of the sites get different spam scores? With some of their sites (www v non-www) the difference in the spam score might be a 2 for the www v a 3 for the non-www. But in others it might be 0 for the www v 8 for the non-www! And it's unclear which one is the 'real' spam score, as there seems no rhyme or reason to the results. Anyway, any thoughts from the room would be appreciated.

How to interpret a possible spam link?
Hallo, Spam analysis is suggesting that my website may have a spam problem (score is 5). When I analyse the single spam links, I am puzzled. the links to my site are actually links in disqus comments I wrote myself on the linking site, in order to aswer REAL question of real people giving them honest and useful answers (and linking my site :-), like the link pointed out in the attached image, also pasted herebelow: http://www.androidiani.com/news/servizi-premium-indesiderati-lantitrust-contro-tim-vodafone-wind-e-3-213235 Most links have this same nature. Has this behaviour (which I consider natural, in good faith) been regarded as spammy? Should avoid linking my site in the comments I write on external sites? the links from comunicatistampagratis.it (towards the end of the list) are from a free press release website: you send them the press release, they publish it. Should I avoid using this free press release site? Should I avoid using any free press release site at all (since they are regarded as spammy)? is there a rule to learn (since apparently I have not been very good so far at using my good faith to separate good links from spammy links) whether a link can be spammy and therefore try and avoid it? thank you for you help.
