IPAD AND IPHONE RESULTS
-
I noticed that the google search results on ipad and iphone have completely different than the searches done by computers. I have sites that rank well on desktops, are usually read in ipad and iphone but would not dream of appearing in their searches. Someone has already done some study on this subject? Know what the parameters and differences in rank in mobiles?
-
Lets say, some sites that are normally ranked high on Google could be displayed completly wrong on iPad or iPhone devices, so this different results based on wich platform the user is using would make a perfect sense.
Anyway would like to read more on the subject if anyone have any info about it.

When you think you are doing it right but the results are quite the opposite.
I have a website that just doesn't rank well against what at first glance appears to be a lower quality competitor site. So far - I, and "no one" else can work out why they sit above me in search. I have to concede and respect that they must be doing something right, but what? I just can't get to the bottom of it, and I've been trying for two years!.... Sometimes we can't see the wood for the trees and right now that seems to be me. I genuinely just want to know what I'm missing. Two sites: bristolpest.co.uk and waspkilluk.co.uk Key words: bristol pest control or pest control bristol

I've just manually edited all the page titles and meta descriptions on a site, when will this show in Google results?
I've just manually edited all of the page titles, meta descriptions and optimised the copy on a client's site. I submitted this for a new crawl on Google via Webmaster Tools but when I do a Google search the old versions are still showing. Will it still take a few weeks for the new versions to show even though Google has crawled it via Webmaster?

Ecommerce internal search results pages
I'm working on a ecommerce site that allows product search results pages to be sorted a variety of ways (best selling, newest, by price). Each of these search filters creates a new url i.e. /all/best/1 and /all/best/2; /all/new/1 and /all/new/2; etc. These search results pages have been indexed and the site is receiving enough organic traffic from these pages that I don't want to add noindex, follow to them. I am planning on implementing rel=prev, rel=next for each filter, but I'm concerned about duplicate content considering I can't create unique meta data for each page. Should I canonical all pages to the first search results page without filters applied? Or any other ideas on how I should proceed?

Do special characters ñ ã ô ä ö ü í à affect search results?
Dear Community, the google AdWords Keyword Tool shows e.g.: monthly global search for: "Satéré-Mawê Tribe" = 0
On-Page Optimization | | inlinear
but for "Satere-Mawe Tribe" = 320 (at least) But doing a search with or without using special characters, seems not to make a difference? as Google shows "the right" results even when people are making mistakes in spelling. On an english website I wantto use in the Title "Hunting, fishing and living with the Satéré-Mawê Tribe" using the correct Portuguese spelling. As Google Keyword tool tells me english speaking persons don't like using special characters... should I also leave them out in general or just don't mind? Thanks for any response
