Anyone Used ScrapeBox or SEONukeX Before?
-
I have been looking at trying out Scrapebox or SEONukex for a while, but don't want to wast my money. Has anyone tried them out with positive success? I am not looking for an automated submission platform necessarily. I am simply looking for a platform to tell me which sites are relevant to mine, dofollow, etc. That is what I would be using them for.

Scrapebox is an excellent tool for blog and forum discovery. SENukeX doesn't really help at all in that department and is really only a decent tool if you find creative ways to use it like building your own blog networks.

Yes, thank you for that information. I was not wanting to use scrapebox as a means to auto-generate links. I am only needing something to help me in the discovery process of finding sites to get links from.

Key Keri,
Thanks for the link, was a good read. Funny thing, once I figured out how SENuke spins articles, I started to notice them. Several times I have found myself reading an article and think to myself that I would really enjoy reading the original version of that article. Frankly, I can't stand spun articles and hopefully people and search engines can learn the difference between an original article and a spun one. I really can't stand spun articles and think anyone doing it should be penalized.
Having said that, if I can read a spun article, and I probably have, and I don't notice. Good enough for me.
I would also expect the search engines to be a little more aggressive about spun articles than they are about paid links. Your competitor is much less likely to spin articles on your behalf than they are to build crappy links for you.

Check out this thread from earlier this month, where someone was evaluating SENuke and decided against it. You can read his experience and the opinion of other people as well. Generally, it was not a positive opinion.

I loaded it on my computer and it looked like it was hard to use, at best. After educating myself more about what SEO really is, I decided against actually using it. IMO it may have been good at one time, but I think the search engines are getting wise to this kind of thing. It looks like a really good way to get sandboxed to me.

Recovery from a HTTP to HTTPs migration using 302s ?
If a website did an HTTP to HTTPS migration using 302 re-directs, that were corrected to 301s about 4 months later, what is the expected impact? Will the website see a full recovery or has the damage been done? Thanks to anyone who can shed some light on this...

Is this the correct way of using rel canonical, next and prev for paginated content?
Hello Moz fellows, a while ago (3-4 years ago) we setup our e-commerce website category pages to apply what Google suggested to correctly handle pagination. We added rel "canonicals", rel "next" and "prev" as follows: On page 1: On page 2: On page 3: And so on, until the last page is reached: Do you think everything we have been doing is correct? I have doubts on the way we have handled the canonical tag, so, any help to confirm that is very appreciated! Thank you in advance to everyone.

Should I use **tags or h1/h2 tags for article titles on my homepage**
I recently had an seo consultant recommend using tags instead of h1/h2 tags for article titles on the homepage of my news website and category landing pages. I've only seen this done a handful of times on news/editorial websites. For example: http://www.muscleandfitness.com/ Can anyone weigh in on this?

Why Doesn't Moz Use Wistia Backlink Embed Feature
I am using Wistia videos for my website and they have an embed feature which gives option to include a backlink to one's site, which I thought was great. I took a random Moz whiteboard Friday video (http://moz.com/blog/what-should-i-put-on-the-homepage-whiteboard-friday) and I do not see the backlink feature if I click on "embed" button below the video. Question: why would Moz not use such feature? Bad SEO or simply because Moz does not need it?

Use of Rel=Canonical
I have been pondering whether I am using this tag correctly or not. We have a custom solution which lays out products in the typical eCommerce style with plenty of tick box filters to further narrow down the view. When I last researched this it seemed like a good idea to implement rel=canonical to point all sub section pages at a 'view-all' page which returns all the products unfiltered for that given section. Normally pages are restricted down to 9 results per page with interface options to increase that. This combined with all the filters we offer creates many millions of possible page permutations and hence the need for the Canonical tag. I am concerned because our view-all pages get large, returning all of that section's product into one place. If I pointed the view-all page at say the first page of x results would that defeat the object of the view-all suggestion that Google made a few years back as it would require further crawling to get at all the data? Alternatively as these pages are just product listings, would NoIndex be a better route to go given that its unlikely they will get much love in Google anyway?

Is Video Sharing sites is still useful for SERP ?
Well I am not talking about the audience views, i am asking whether it is good for submitting videos to multiple video sites for backlinks and any sharp movements for the keywords. I seen most of the sites are nofollow which is not useful but for the link diversification is that something good ?

Ok to use rich snippets for same product on multiple pages?
I am developing a new set of pages for a series of products which exist on separate sub domains linked to the root domain. The product pages on the sub domains have rich snippets; review count, review score etc. The new pages im building out are for the same products though on the root domain and with different content. Im not comfortable marking those pages up with rich snippets too given they will have the same review counts, scores etc though would like to if its viable? Any thoughts/opinions? Thanks, Andy

Geo-tagging using cookie - Is it Good or Bad for Rankings
We have a fairly large site which does a cookie-based 302 redirect to the the specific city page if someone types in the Home page URL. Though if the cookie is not available (first time user) it goes to the Homepage and asks user to select the city as our services are city specific. Everything is working fine with this setup. Though our tech team now wants to display the contents of city page on homepage URL itself if the cookie is available without 302 redirecting to new URL. Though no-cookie available scenario remains unchanged. Technically, I think this change should work fine without any ranking issues as still the first time users see the actual homepage as does Googlebot. Please confirm possible issues in rankings with this change from your experiences as based upon city present in the cookie homepage will display different content.
