Google Places - Co Working Spaces
-
Hello,
Hope this hasn't been answered but no combination of searches could turn it up.
What is the impact for those using a co working space such as http://www.thenetworkhub.ca/ in regards to Google Places and local searches?
Assumedly there will be multiple 'businesses' using the same address including suite number. Does this cause issue with Google understanding that these are truly legit 'offices' and work address for honest to goodness businesses?
Suppose part of the challenge may be those using this address for just mail and answering...
Guess my point is, will 20-40 people using the same address for their places profile be a problem?
What alternatives exist for these folks?
Thanks y'all!

Thanks for the update Kye. It's always interesting to find out how these things turn out. I hope it's worked out well for your client.

In the end we found a unique address. The client decided it wasn't worth the risk of complication with the co working space versus using another commercial address that only he uses.
He is legitimately using this address for his business exactly how he would have used the co working space so it is onside. Just happened to be a space available that the owner of will likely never use the address online.
Sadly though that leaves us still wondering what the impact of the co working space address will cause.

Hi! We're going through some of the older unanswered questions and seeing if people still have questions or if they've gone ahead and implemented something and have any lessons to share with us. Can you give an update, or mark your question as answered?
Thanks!

Good point. As long they all use their own cell number and not the actual number of the co working space (which does offer answering services to create perception of a receptionist) they should be in a stronger position.
-
You should be OK as long as each business has a unique phone number.
As RichardGetz said above, also make sure your citations match up across sites - always a best practice, but in this case you really need to be as clear as possible.
-
Sorry, I missed that point. Hmm, that might look a bit doggy. However, if the address on your site is clear, and all other citations are the same (Superpages.com, yelp.com, insiderpages.com etc.), and no one else using that suite # is spammy, then I don' t see a huge problem.
-
Even though they all share the same suite #. I should have been more clear about that.
-
Nope, Google will understand that this is an office building.

Can SEO companies be listed on Google Local, Bing Local, and Yahoo Local?
Can anyone confirm if SEO companies can be listed in the local results for Google, Yahoo, and Bing? I'm asking because when you search for most local terms, it will return their local listings. However, that doesn't appear to be the case when searching for SEO or marketing services - or at least none show up when searching from Houston and I'm pretty sure we have quite a few SEO companies here 😉

Local SEO: Google Places and Google+
Hello, I'm a little confused by Google+ for business. I set up a Google Places page in 2010 and recently changed my address to incorporate my suite number and to spell out "Street" instead of abbreviating. I'm planning on carefully changing all citations to match. Next I started a Google+ page for my business. But I couldn't fill out the address and ended up requesting a postcard for verification to continue. The postcard was sent to the right address but no suite number. I'll still get the postcard, but I can't finish my page yet. Also, I don't know if I have to re-verify my Places page with the slight changes. Am I on the right track?

How do you know if you are listed in google+ local?
OK This Google+ local and Google places merge is confusing. My first question is how do you know if your company is listed in Google+ local? I've done a search in Google Plus (logged in with another gmail account) but couldn't find my company on the results. Second question is that I am also not able to be found in maps.google.com, is this related? Thanks

Video SEO: Should I add Video Transcriptions to You Tube Videos Even with Google CC?
So, You Tube allows plenty of room from descriptions. I think 5,000 characters. Google does a poor Closed Caption of our audio. Should I also be adding accurate transcriptions to the description field in YouTube to help my Video SEO. What are the pro's cons and is it worth doing?

Google+ Local/Places isn't displaying my suite #. Should I leave it out of NAP on other directories, too?
HI All, For some reason Google is not displaying the suite # for a client of mine in Google+ / Places. I've entered the suite # in the back-end of Google+ / Places and it shows there when I log in, but the public version of the listing omits it. So the question is, should the NAP in other directories omit it as well? Google knows it exists, but is choosing not to publish it... Thanks! Zack

Citations have dissapeared from places listing
This site citations have dissapeared from the 'more about this place' and looks to have effected the maps ranking by dropping the listing a few places: http://maps.google.com.au/maps/place?hl=en&ie=UTF8&q=stella+settlements&fb=1&gl=au&hq=stella+settlements&hnear=Perth+WA&cid=9895804169495459418&z=14 The citations that have been removed are: http://www.truelocal.com.au/business/stella-settlements/burswood http://www.hotfrog.com.au/Companies/Stella-Settlements http://www.yellowpages.com.au/wa/burswood/stella-settlements-13951907-listing.html (all of these are listed on other competitors citations currently) (also the places page is using the reviews on Truelocal.com.au listing above which is strange) Do you know why these citations listings have been removed, however these have not been removed on competitors places pages by Google? thanks
